Primary 3 tuition often becomes a serious consideration when parents notice a sudden jump in school difficulty. At this stage, children are expected to manage more independent work, longer word problems, stronger language demands, and, for many, Science begins formally as a subject. If your child was coping reasonably well in Primary 2 but now seems slower, more frustrated, or less confident, you are certainly not alone. This guide compares Primary 3 tuition centres in Singapore for parents who want clearer options, whether you are looking for help in English, Maths, Science or Chinese, and whether your child may respond better to a group class, online lesson, or personalised home tuition arrangement.
Key Takeaways
Primary 3 tuition should help children adjust to the step-up in workload, not simply give them more worksheets to finish.
The best Primary 3 tuition centres usually match your child’s real weak areas, pace and confidence level, instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all class format.
When comparing Primary 3 tuition centres, look beyond subjects and fees to class size, teaching style, convenience, and how comfortable your child will be asking questions.
MindFlex – Your Best Platform for Primary 3 Home Tuition
Overview of Business
MindFlex Tuition Agency is a Singapore home tuition agency that helps parents find suitable one-to-one tutors for Primary 3 tuition at home or online. Instead of placing every child into the same classroom programme, MindFlex matches families with tutors based on the child’s subject needs, pace, personality, schedule, location and budget. This can be especially helpful in Primary 3, when some children suddenly need closer support in Maths word problems, English comprehension, Chinese, or the transition into Primary Science. For parents of Primary 3 children, the main value is personalised attention. Lessons can focus on homework support, concept rebuilding, confidence, or steady weekly reinforcement based on what the child actually needs.
Why Parents Choose MindFlex?
Many parents choose MindFlex for Primary 3 tuition because children at this age can struggle for very different reasons. Some need patient, step-by-step teaching, while others need more challenge to stay engaged. MindFlex matches tutors according to subject, timing, budget and learning style. Home or online lessons also reduce travelling time, which can make a real difference on busy weekdays. If you need help quickly after weak test results or a stressful term, the agency also offers fast tutor recommendations and coordinator support, which many parents find reassuring.
Excellent customer service from MindFlex Home Tuition Megan. She was very patient, responsive, and took the time to understand my child’s learning needs and goals before recommending a tutor. Megan provided suitable options and helped us find a good English tutor who matched my child’s learning style. The whole process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I appreciate her dedication and prompt follow-up throughout. Highly recommend Megan to parents looking for reliable support in finding the right tutor for their child.
I’m very grateful to MindFlex, especially Alyssa and her team, for their patience and dedication in helping to source a suitable tutor for my son.
This is the 2nd time I look for them to source a tutor. This time round I had more specific requirements, including the tutor’s age group, gender and most importantly, someone who is patient and able to communicate well with students who are weaker in Chinese. Alyssa and the team were understanding, responsive and professional throughout the entire process.
They took the effort to carefully match a tutor who suits my son’s learning needs and personality. I truly appreciate their commitment and excellent service. Highly recommended for parents looking for reliable and attentive tuition support!
I’m very happy with the tutoring service arranged by Alyssa and her team. Both tutors (Xinbo and Ban Cheng) have been great and my child really enjoys the lessons with them. We can already see some improvement, which is very encouraging.
Thank you for being so responsive and helpful throughout the arrangement process. Really appreciate the support and would definitely recommend them to other parents looking for reliable tutors.
Alyssa is a very supportive and reliable coordinator. She helped me secure Tamil tuition assignments smoothly and always communicates clearly and promptly. She is professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. I truly appreciate her effort in matching suitable students and providing assistance when needed. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to working with her again in the future. Radah Kasiramu
Being a tutor, I would like to sincerely thank MindFlex teams for the consistent support and assistance in helping me secure tuition assignments. I truly appreciate the effort of the agents, particularly Cassandra, Alyssa, Megan, Jerlyn and Jane, who put in great effort into the coordination with tutors and parents.
The agents have always been professional and helpful throughout the process. Their support and dedication have made it much easier for me to find suitable students and successfully close assignments.
It is definitely a pleasant experience working with MindFlex. I look forward to work together on more assignments in the future!

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.
Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tutor who genuinely cares and delivers excellent results

1. SuperMath Discovery
Overview of Business
SuperMath Discovery is a specialist Maths tuition provider with more than 18 years of experience. For families exploring Primary 3 tuition, SuperMath is especially relevant if Maths is the main concern rather than a full multi-subject arrangement. Their programme covers Primary 1 to Primary 6 and is designed to strengthen mathematical thinking through structured teaching, problem-solving and close guidance. Primary 3 is an important stage because multiplication, division and more complex word problems can quickly expose weak foundations. SuperMath’s approach centres on simplifying difficult questions and helping children understand how to think through a problem, rather than only memorising methods.
Why Parents Choose SuperMath Discovery?
Parents often consider SuperMath Discovery when a child is starting to feel lost in Primary 3 Maths, especially with longer word problems and the introduction of bar modelling. Their small-group setup may suit children who need more interaction than a large class allows, while still benefiting from classroom structure. SuperMath also appeals to parents who want visible progress tracking, since the app provides updates on performance and weaker areas.
Teacher Daniel is super amazing! He really cares for his students and teaches with so much heart. He took the time to understand my child’s weaknesses and helped him improve so much in a short time. My child even got AL1 for Math!
You can tell he genuinely connects with his students😊my child really enjoys his lessons and always looks forward to class. Math has become his favourite subject now, and Teacher Daniel is his favourite teacher too! Highly recommended!
Thank you to all Supermaths teachers — Daniel, Serene, Michelle, and Nicholas!
You guys are amazing! The teachers are patient, dedicated, and always encouraging. We truly appreciate your effort in making learning fun and effective for the children! 💓💓💓
A wonderful tuition centre that truly provides the right support for my boy’s learning needs. The teachers are highly devoted and genuinely care as much as the parents do. Thank you for your time, effort, and dedication towards nurturing our children.
Teamwork is the key to every child’s academic success. Both teachers and parents need to work hand in hand to support and guide them.
My daughter Lauren is Primary 6 and started attending Supermath in May this year. Before that, she was struggling with her math homework even after lessons at another center. Since joining Supermath, the change has been remarkable. She has become much more confident in problem solving and no longer faces the issue of not being able to complete her work after class.
Within just three months, Lauren’s math grade improved from AL 6 to AL 4. This progress is the result of the dedicated teaching and guidance from the Supermath team. She is challenged to push her limits and is now motivated to aim for AL 1.
A big thank you to Teacher Daniel and Teacher Serene for your patient and committed teaching.
I’m very pleased with my daughter’s progress in math through Super Math. It was a subject she used to avoid but now she’s making great strides! They have a unique, engaging approach to teaching. Daniel is truly an excellent tutor!

Mavis Tutorial is one of the more established names in Singapore tuition, with a long history dating back to 1986 and a wide branch network across the island. For parents searching for Primary 3 tuition centres, Mavis stands out as a broad-based option rather than a niche single-subject provider. They offer support across core primary subjects and follow the MOE syllabus closely, which can be helpful when your child needs reinforcement that stays aligned with school expectations. Mavis may appeal to parents who want one provider that can support more than one subject while keeping lesson format, scheduling, and academic monitoring within the same system.
Why Parents Choose Mavis Tutorial?
Parents often choose Mavis Tutorial because it offers scale and convenience without feeling too narrow in scope. If your child needs Primary 3 tuition in more than one area, such as Maths plus English or Science, Mavis can be easier to manage than juggling separate providers. Their network of branches also reduces travel stress, which matters when weekday evenings are already packed. Structured assessments and progress tracking may also feel reassuring for parents worried about hidden gaps.
Ms. Bavana is an outstanding English teacher. She makes every lesson engaging and helps her students build confidence in reading, and composition writing. My child always looks forward to her classes and has shown clear improvement in grammar and comprehension. Her patience, creativity, and genuine care for her students truly make a difference. Highly recommended!
I joined Teacher Bhavna’s The Write Stuff lessons and benefited greatly from them. I used to struggle with my compositions but since I attended Teacher Bhavna’s lessons when I was P5, I slowly improved and became good at my compositions. Teacher Bhavna’s lessons are very interesting and will definitely benefit you. Teacher Bhavna played a key role in helping me improve in my continuous writing and situational writing. She was the one who helped me get a total of AL4 Distinction for my PSLE. Thank you Teacher Bhavna!
Ms Bhavna is a very responsible English teacher. She creates a positive learning environment and provides practical examples and makes each lesson enjoyable. Her lessons are fun, interactive, and full of useful tips. She goes above and beyond to help her students succeed. I’m extremely grateful for her support and professionalism.

I’ve been attending this math tutorial centre for a while, and it has really helped me improve my understanding of key concepts. The teachers are patient and always willing to explain things in different ways until I understand. I also like how they provide useful notes and challenging practice questions that push me to think critically. My grades have improved a lot since joining, and I feel much more confident in math now. Highly recommend this centre for anyone who wants to strengthen their foundation and do better in exams!

EduFirst Learning Centre offers multi-subject tuition for Primary and Secondary students, with a strong emphasis on small groups and personalised support. For Primary 3 tuition, that combination can be especially meaningful because many children at this stage are still willing to ask questions, but only if the class feels safe and not overly crowded. EduFirst keeps classes very small, usually around 4 to 8 students, and this may help teachers notice learning gaps that are easy to miss in larger groups. Their programmes are supported by curriculum specialists and NIE-trained teachers, with materials aligned to the MOE syllabus.
Why Parents Choose Edufirst Learning Centre?
EduFirst often appeals to parents who want Primary 3 tuition that feels attentive without going fully one-to-one. A smaller group can matter a lot at this age because children who are shy, easily distracted, or slightly behind tend to disappear in bigger classes. Their free homework clinics are another practical advantage. Parents may also appreciate periodic feedback and customised materials, especially when the child’s school performance is uneven and generic worksheets are not enough to target the real problem.
I discovered this Student Care Centre (SCC) sprouted up in the Geylang East neighbourhood and I really find that they have the heart to care for our children. They take the effort to cook healthy and good lunch and also cater extra for the children in case they are hungry.
As for tuition, I personally find teachers Rui Le and Charlotte will make the effort to set individualized questions for my kids to prep them for their Weighted Assessment (WA).
I have been sending my children to EduFirst (Aljunied) ever since they opened the branch in 2020. Teacher Wendy (centre manager) is patient and effective when arranging for make-up lessons (since my children are involved in many enrichment programmes). Teacher Jonas is a teacher who goes the extra mile and ensures that his students can understand the concepts. Teacher Celeste is a teacher who excels at teaching POA, and helped my son score an A1.
My daughter Angela Lee has been with Edufirst Aljunied for 1.5 yrs+ since primary 1. She has good experience with the after school care. Teacher Wendy is always on the ball follow up with us on my daughter school schedule to arrange pick up etc. She is responsive with requests and try to accommodate as much as she can. She has genuine care for her students and ensure they are in safe hands. Highly recommend this after school care!

My son has been there for almost 2 years now and I am full of praises for this centre! I love their curriculum and the in-house tuition. My son also enjoys their freshly cooked food. Teacher Wendy has been wonderful in managing the whole centre and Teacher Eugene has been a great teacher to my son. My son enjoys his time there and I will be enrolling my daughter next year too. Will definitely recommend this student care to others who need one!
My boy joined Edufirst since he started Primary 1 last year. The centre manager Wendy and teacher Eugene take strong ownership in running the centre effectively and pushing the students academically. From checking and guiding the students’ work to making them learn their spelling. They also give the students extra worksheets and practice to uphold learning standards. Teacher Eugene even requested that I continue to send my boy to the centre regularly, during the school holidays, so that he can maintain his Chinese learning progress. They provide prompt feedback to parents always. Very thankful to have such responsible centre manager and teachers.

The Math Lab is a specialist Mathematics tuition provider that focuses on helping students build deep conceptual understanding rather than rely on rote learning. For Primary 3 tuition, this matters because Maths often becomes less straightforward at this stage. Children are expected to interpret questions, choose a method, and explain their working more clearly. The Math Lab follows a Singapore Mathematics approach, teaching fewer topics in greater depth and using visualisation methods to make abstract concepts easier to grasp. Their classes are small and tutorial-style, with each child taught individually in turn, even within a group lesson.
Why Parents Choose The Math Lab?
Parents usually look at The Math Lab when they want specialist Primary 3 tuition for Maths and prefer concept mastery over endless drilling. Their teaching style may suit children who can copy a method in school but cannot explain why it works, or who become dependent on memorised steps and then panic when the question is phrased differently. Because classes are small and tutorial-based, mistakes can be corrected before they become habits.
The Math Lab is a tuition centre that has been a crucial part of my Mathematics journey towards O-levels. Teacher Anson has been patient and swift in providing resources as well as answering the students' questions, and the resources given especially the school past year papers, have been very crucial in preparing me for my O-level exams. Results for O-levels: A1 for both A math and E math
Been with Mr Teo since I was sec 1 and he has helped me grasp my concepts better, while also being really patient and kind. Really grateful for his help and guidance throughout my 4 years in secondary school 🥹
I attended Mr Teo's class for 1 year. He is very engaging, enthusiastic and fun. He helped pinpoint my issues to help me improve every lesson. In the end, both my Math and A Math imrpoved by 4 grades, from C6 to A2 for o levels.
Teacher Anson helped me understand Sec 1 topics easily and gave me a great headstart to the year. He's a really patient, positive and understanding teacher, and doesn't hesitate to repeat and go through the topics I don't understand as many times as possible. So I feel at ease to ask him questions with school work or anything about maths. He's really friendly as well and helped me feel welcome in the class setting. My results improved with his guidance too:))
My son has been attending Mr Teo’s tuition for more than three years. He is attentive, engaging and also supportive. This helped my boy with his interest in Maths and results improved.

The Alternative Story is a specialist English tuition provider, which makes it especially relevant for parents seeking Primary 3 tuition in English rather than a broad multi-subject arrangement. Their programmes are aligned with the MOE syllabus and cover regular English classes as well as writing-focused support. Primary 3 is often when weak language habits become more obvious. A child may still read fluently enough, but grammar slips, weak vocabulary, and thin composition ideas begin affecting confidence and marks. The Alternative Story has built its reputation around helping children strengthen comprehension, writing and oral expression in a lively, engaging environment.
Why Parents Choose The Alternative Story?
Parents often shortlist The Alternative Story when English is the main pain point and they want Primary 3 tuition that goes beyond worksheet correction. Their approach may appeal to families whose child has ideas but cannot organise them into clear writing, or who struggles with comprehension because they read too quickly and miss nuance. Open communication with parents is another plus, especially when you want to understand whether the issue is language skill, confidence, or both.
My son has been with TAS since Primary 2 and he was privileged to have Teacher Elaine and Teacher Joanne teaching him. Teacher Elaine is always ensuring I am kept updated on his progress and she takes time to have calls with me to go through his weak areas and how she intends to help him. It also helps that her method of teaching is well received by my son and he listens to her and applies accordingly. Teacher Joanne took on my boy when he was entering into the PSLE year. Initially, I was concerned that his learning will be affected but he was very contented to stay on with Teacher Joanne. Teacher Joanne has gone beyond herself to ensure the my boy is always encouraged and motivated. She has also provided meaningful advice and insights on how I can support my boy at home. My son has managed to hold his consistent performance under her guidance and he scored AL1 for his PSLE. Special shoutout to both Teacher Elaine and Teacher Joanne for both their dedication and unwavering support.
We are incredibly grateful to have Tr Elaine teaching both my boys. She is such a dedicated and caring English teacher and consistently goes above and beyond for her students — often giving extra lessons on her own time for the psle kids and patiently working with them on their weak areas until they improve.
What we appreciate most is how intentional she is about understanding each child’s needs and tailoring her guidance accordingly. Her commitment, encouragement and belief in her students truly make a difference.
Under her watch and guidance, my son Elliott managed to score an AL2, which we are extremely thankful for. This achievement would not have been possible without her time, effort and genuine dedication.
Highly recommended to any parent looking for a teacher who truly cares about her students’ growth and progress!
It’s been such a good journey with TAS (AMK Branch). My daughter has been with them since P3 and took the regular English class that covers Paper 1, Paper 2, and Oral. I never had to worry about whether everything would be covered—their programmes are well-structured and organised. The materials are detailed yet concise, and easy for students to understand and use.
A special shout-out to Teacher Andy. My daughter genuinely enjoyed his lessons. He’s encouraging, keeps the kids engaged, and provides regular, clear feedback so we can work on her weaker areas together. His guidance was consistent and practical.
Under his guidance, my daughter achieved AL1 in her 2025 PSLE English. She was over the moon when she saw the result, and we were so proud. We’re truly grateful for Tr Andy’s commitment, care, and dedication.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Teacher Dione for her dedication, patience, and support. She has been teaching my son, Gareth, since Primary 4 at TAS Jubilee Square. When Teacher Dione moved to the Djitsun Mall branch, my son chose to follow her as he likes her teaching style.
During the PSLE period, Teacher Dione went above and beyond by providing extra lesson to ensure the students were well prepared. She consistently gave constructive feedback to parents and made efforts to encourage him to participate more in class and speak up, especially since he is weaker in oral skills and tends to be quiet. Her encouragement and belief in him helped to build his confidence.
Under her good guidance, my son was able to achieve AL1 in his PSLE 2025. We are truly grateful for Teacher Dione’s commitment, care, and dedication. Thank you very much.
My son has been taking lesson with Teacher Michelle from the beginning of the year. He really likes her teaching style and always enjoys learning under her guidance. Despite attending online, Teacher Michelle never fails to engage the students well and always gives clear explanations. She also gives detailed and personalised feedback about the student work and what they learn in class. Sincerely thankful to Teacher Michelle for her partnership in my son English learning journey. He got satisfying results all the way from WA till EOY! 🙏❤️

illum.e is an MOE-registered tuition provider known mainly for English and writing-related programmes across Primary to Junior College levels. For parents searching for Primary 3 tuition, illum.e is most relevant when English is the key concern, especially if your child needs help with reading, writing, grammar, speaking, or overall language confidence. Their classes are built around a signature Thinking Frames method that teaches children how to approach questions systematically instead of relying on guesswork or memorised model answers. This can be valuable in Primary 3, when children begin facing more demanding comprehension tasks and are expected to organise ideas more independently in writing.
Why Parents Choose illum.e?
Parents often choose illum.e when a child needs more than basic English practice. In Primary 3, some children can read the passage but still give weak answers because they do not know how to think through the question. illum.e’s Thinking Frames approach may appeal to parents who want clearer strategy, not just extra homework. Their small class ratio can also matter for children who need frequent feedback on writing and comprehension habits.
Before joining illum.e, I was scoring badly for GP up until promos in J1. I did not understand how GP worked and what was even required to score well in GP. After joining illum.e in J2, Mr Chia and Mr Yeo's lessons made me understand that GP was actually very much doable. Mr Chia and Mr Yeo would also always make the extra effort to help me mark and provide feedback on areas for improvement promptly. Would definitely recommend anyone considering a GP tuition centre to join illum.e!
I enrolled into Illume in 2024 in Mr Chia and Mr Yeo class at Jurong East campus, and throughout the 1.5 years in illume, I managed to improve my GP significantly through the structured classes and lectures. The lesson materials were useful since it provided easy to remember methods and strategies to tackle the broad subject requirements. Additionally Mr Chia and Mr Yeo were engaging and frequently put in the effort to make our lessons fun and interesting. Furthermore, Mr Chia and Mr Yeo would take time to consult with us and check our essay outlines or comprehension questions outside of lesson hours or during exam periods, even if they were very busy. Overall, illume has helped me not only in scoring an A for GP but also equip me with general knowledge about local and global affairs, which are valuable when entering the workforce in the future.
Mr Chia played the biggest role in helping me achieve an A for GP during my A Levels. Before attending his classes, I was completely clueless about how to write good essays, as the help given by my school teachers was too vague and confusing. I am very grateful to Mr Chia, who taught me how to use illum.e’s very own skill sets to dissect question types and keyword types, which are the keys to answering any type of essay question.
I truly appreciate that in every single lesson, Mr Chia made it a point to review every student’s answers and provide personalised feedback to target the weaknesses in our responses and teach us how to improve. I also liked that he engaged with his students in class to ensure that we were following him and to liven up the atmosphere. I was also pleasantly surprised when I wrote at least three additional essays for Mr Chia to mark and he returned them to me with fully annotated scripts showing where I could improve. Every piece of feedback was immensely useful. (He was not obliged to mark them at all.) This showed his dedication and responsibility towards helping his students.
As for comprehension, I went from barely passing to getting an A during prelims. Similarly, I would credit this improvement to Mr Chia. He was very encouraging, even when the class struggled to paraphrase certain words.
Finally, even though I only joined his classes in April of J2, I was able to see myself doing better in GP at school after applying the feedback Mr Chia gave. This shows how experienced he is in knowing exactly what his students need to do to perform better in the subject.
I 100% recommend juniors who feel uncertain about GP to join!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My English teacher, Mr. Chia from Illum Education (Jurong East), played a huge role in helping me achieve a B3 in my National Examinations.
When I first joined in mid-May, I was barely passing with around 50 marks. Even close to Prelims in late July, I was still stuck at 55 and extremely worried about my actual exams. After consulting Mr. Chia, the improvement I saw within just three weeks was honestly insane.
He didn’t just teach me content; he fixed my exam strategy. For Paper 1 (especially Situational Writing), I used to write the wrong things and overwrite. He taught me how to write less but include the right points to score higher. For Paper 2, I used to struggle to find answers in the passage, but after his guidance, it became much easier.
What really stood out was his care and dedication. Despite being busy, he still took time to mark my extra work and patiently answer my questions after lessons. He always checked in to make sure I had no doubts.
If you want results, Mr. Chia is the teacher you need. Highly recommended.
Mr Roger was my teacher at Illum.e. I joined midway through Sec 4, and many people questioned why I decided to start tuition so close to my O Levels. Previously, I believed I could self-study and still achieve a good grade for English. However, after receiving my WA1 and WA2 results, I realised my grades were declining from a C6 to a D7. That was when I told my mum that I needed tuition.
During my time at Illum.e, I learnt a lot from Mr Roger. He always took the time to explain every detail clearly, especially words or concepts that students were unsure of. Beyond that, Illum.e taught us how to approach questions based on what markers are actually looking for. This helped me understand how to answer effectively without overthinking or overwriting during exams.
As a result, I was able to manage my time much better in my actual O Levels. I am truly grateful to Illum.e and for my own hard work, which helped me achieve a B3 for my English O Levels.

The Learning Lab is a well-known enrichment and tuition provider in Singapore, offering a wide range of programmes from Preschool to Junior College. For Primary 3 tuition, they are relevant to parents who want structured support in English, Maths or Science, with a curriculum that goes beyond school worksheets and places strong emphasis on thinking skills and application. The Learning Lab is known for in-house curriculum development, trained specialist teachers, and a polished learning environment. Their programmes are also supported by digital resources through TLL 360.
Why Parents Choose The Learning Lab?
Parents often choose The Learning Lab because it combines strong curriculum design with a fairly broad Primary 3 subject offering. That can matter when a child is not weak in only one area. Some children need English writing help, stronger Maths heuristics, and support adjusting to formal Primary Science all at once. The Learning Lab may suit families who want those subjects under one provider without sacrificing structure. Digital revision tools are another practical advantage for parents who want learning support to continue outside the weekly lesson.
I’m deeply thankful to my son’s teacher, John, who consistently goes the extra mile. He keeps a close eye on my son’s progress, ensures he stays attentive in class, and updates me promptly. Just before we left for the holidays, he even took the time to teach my son how to pack his bag properly and instil the importance of good habits such as keeping his files and bag neat and organised.
Ms Siu Yan is one of the best teachers in TLL. My child achieved an AL1 in the PSLE Science exam thanks to the teacher’s guidance. ms Siu Yan is extremely patient and meticulous, and the teaching methods are engaging and effective. My child loves the Science lessons very much.
My children attended English and Science classes at The Learning Lab Marine Parade, and I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for two outstanding teachers: Mr Koh Rongming (English) and Ms Ng Siu Yan (Science).
English and Science used to be my elder kid’s weakest subjects, but under their guidance, she scored AL1 for both in PSLE — something we never imagined possible.
Mr Koh is incredibly engaging and humorous. His lessons are never boring, and he has a unique way of making even difficult concepts easy to understand.
Ms Ng is extremely responsible and dedicated. Her explanations are always clear, structured, and easy for students to grasp.
Both teachers demonstrate a high level of professionalism and genuine care for their students. My child absolutely loves learning from them, and we are truly grateful for their hard work and commitment.
That said, their classes are always in high demand and often fully booked. I secretly wish my younger kid will still be able to get a place with them. A small part of me hesitated to share this review — but great teachers deserve recognition, and people should know about them.
Mrs Low, the Science SH at Parkway Parade, has made an extraordinary impact on my child’s learning journey. She brings Science to life in the classroom and has guided him with dedication and purpose towards achieving his PSLE Science goals.
Her firm yet supportive approach has taught him the value of responsibility—ensuring that every assignment is completed to the best of his ability and that mistakes are embraced as opportunities to learn. She also made extra mile to update me of his progress and areas of improvement.
Even though the early morning supplementary lessons can be challenging for students, Mrs Low’s warmth and generosity shine through. Her thoughtful gesture of providing her students with sumptuous breakfast, coupled with her engaging and lively lessons, has made them look forward to attending with genuine eagerness.
We are deeply grateful for her passion, commitment, and care.
The Learning Lab is the best tuition center we have our kid enrolled to. He has tried different tuition centers during his primary school but settled at TLL(Marine Parade). The teachers are very enthusiastic and always go the extra mile to update parents on the child’s strength and weaknesses, learning progress and how they can improve on. We would strongly recommend TLL to parents who wants their child to improve their grades and learning in academics.

Concept Math is a specialist primary Maths tuition provider, and for parents specifically looking for Primary 3 tuition in Maths, they are one of the more directly relevant options on this list. Their programmes are built around the latest MOE syllabus and focus on helping children understand the underlying concepts that connect different topics, rather than treating each chapter as a separate trick to memorise. In Primary 3, this can make a real difference because children begin meeting more layered problem sums and need stronger number sense to stay steady. Concept Math also keeps classes small and includes regular parent debriefs after lessons.
Why Parents Choose Concept Math?
Parents usually choose Concept Math when a child needs focused Primary 3 tuition for Maths and would benefit from clear concept teaching rather than broad multi-subject support. Their use of model drawing and step-by-step breakdowns may be especially useful for children who can do straightforward sums but get stuck once the question becomes verbal or multi-step. The post-lesson parent debrief is another strong point because it gives families a clearer picture of what should be reinforced at home.
My son joined Concept Maths Novena when he was in P4 in Sep 2025. The Maths concepts taught have boosted his confidence in solving the challenging questions. Thank you Teacher Jaymin on her patience in explaining the Maths Concepts clearly. My son enjoys her lessons.
My child started classes at Concept Maths last year. The teaching methods are clear and concise, which helped her grasp the concepts well. She performed well in both her mid-year and end-of-year examinations. Teacher Joseph has been kind, patient, and supportive throughout her learning journey.
My two sons have greatly benefited from Concept Math, thanks to their S.M.A.R.T concept approach. This methodical technique enables my boys to effortlessly identify different question types by applying the concepts learned. Additionally, the weekly uploaded lesson plans provide flexibility, allowing students to review and reinforce the concepts at their convenience. The nuturing teachers , particularly Teacher Hazel have made a significant impact on my Boys' learning experience. Thank you Concept Math!
Maths is about understanding the comcepts and applying them effectively. That was something my daughter could not grasp for a long time. After attending Concept Math with Teacher Victor, we saw a drastic improvement in her final year results. Thank you Teacher Victor for giving Rachelle the confidence to excel in Maths once again.
Concept Math for pre-primary learners is a thoughtfully designed program that combines structure with enjoyment. The lessons are well-paced, the teaching is excellent, and the environment supports a positive early learning experience. I highly recommend it to parents seeking a gentle yet effective start to mathematics for their young children.

That may suit families whose child needs help in more than one area, or who prefer to keep different subjects under the same provider. With branches in the north and west, EduZ may especially appeal to families in those areas who want a straightforward tuition arrangement with trial classes before deciding on a longer-term commitment.

All my children are having tuition with Eduz Tuition since year 2020. The online tuition during Covid-19 was excellent. The physical classroom in Admiralty branch was comfortable and clean. My children gained confidence and learned very well in this tuition centre.
I am satisfied with the tuition centre’s teaching quality and learning environment. The teachers are knowledgeable, patient, and explain the lessons clearly. They ensure students understand the concepts before moving on to the next topic. The study materials provided are helpful and well-organized. Regular assessments and revisions help students improve their performance and identify weak areas. The classroom environment is conducive to learning, clean, and well-managed. Communication between teachers and parents is good, and updates on student progress are given regularly. Overall, it is a supportive and motivating place for students to improve academically.

The Eton Academy offers Primary English, Maths and Science programmes, making it a useful option for parents who want broad Primary 3 tuition support rather than a single-subject specialist. Their teaching style leans towards engaging, hands-on learning, which may appeal to families whose child is bright but increasingly resistant to dry worksheets and repetitive drilling. Primary 3 is an especially important year for this, because children are expected to become more independent while still needing structure and encouragement. The Eton Academy tries to bridge that gap through interactive lessons, investigative Maths tasks, literature-based English learning, and experiment-based Science teaching.
Why Parents Choose The Eton Academy?
Parents often consider The Eton Academy when they want Primary 3 tuition that keeps learning warm, engaging and confidence-building. At this age, a child who has one or two bad school experiences can quickly decide they are simply not good at a subject. The Eton Academy’s hands-on approach may help break that pattern, especially for children who learn better when they can discuss, explore and see ideas in action. Their support across English, Maths and Science is also practical for families who want all-round primary tuition.
The interaction between teachers and students is very good. My daughter likes to come here to attend classes and her English teacher who is Ms. Crisaan very much. The teacher will let the children learn English through many activities. My daughter's English has improved significantly. Strongly recommend to join The Eton Academy at Canberra Plaza.
My son has been studying English and Math at this tutoring center since April. The teachers are very attentive and patient, with a great ability to guide the children. They can lead the kids to complete tasks diligently and cultivate their interest in learning, which I find excellent. In the TURN3 Math exam, my child achieved a perfect score for the first time in the class, and I’m very proud of him. I believe this is also a great encouragement for the tutoring teachers, showing that their work is effective. Within just a few months, my son’s English vocabulary and reading skills have improved, making English and Math the subjects I find most worthwhile. Lastly, I want to extend my sincere thanks to his Math teacher, Phoebe, and his English teacher,Jessy!❤️😊

How to Choose the Best Primary 3 Primary Tuition for Your Child?
Choosing the right Primary 3 tuition is rarely just about picking the most famous name. At this stage, the better question is whether the support matches how your child learns and what is actually causing the struggle. As you compare different Primary 3 tuition centres, it helps to look at a few practical points.
Look at subject needs carefully, because a child who needs help with Primary 3 Maths may need a very different setup from one who is struggling with English writing or adjusting to Science.
Pay attention to teaching approach, since some children respond better to structured small-group classes while others improve faster with one-to-one guidance and more time to ask questions.
Consider tutor experience and class size, especially if your child is shy, easily distracted, or tends to hide confusion until test results come back.
Check location and routine fit, because even a good programme can become stressful if travel time is too long or weekday schedules are already too packed.
Use reviews and budget as part of the picture, but weigh them together with your child’s temperament, confidence level and willingness to engage.
A good Primary 3 tuition choice should make school feel more manageable for your child, not simply make life busier. When the fit is right, progress often shows not only in marks, but also in calmer homework time, clearer understanding and a child who feels less defeated by school.
