We’ve had such a wonderful experience with the Wushu Kungfu Kids class for our 4yo son. From day one, the environment has been welcoming, structured, and full of positive energy. The program strikes a perfect balance between discipline and fun, which keeps our little one engaged and excited to come back each week. A special mention must go to his Coach who is truly exceptional, patient, encouraging, and incredibly skilled, the coach knows exactly how to connect with young children. It’s clear how much thought and care goes into each class, from warm-ups to basic techniques and even life lessons about respect, focus, and perseverance. Our son has grown in confidence, coordination, and self-discipline and he always leaves class with a big smile. We’re so grateful for this program and the Coach’s dedication. It’s a great foundation not just for martial arts, but for character development. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a meaningful, energetic activity for their child!
Led by Vincent Ng, this is a great place to learn Chinese Martial Arts. Instructors are professional and deeply learned in technical skills and expression of the movements. Not only do the kids learn wushu, they also learn values, self discipline, teamwork, build resilience, endurance and self-confidence! 👍👍👍
Convenient centralised location with free parking. Next to Wheeler's yard cafe to have a coffee while waiting for my child. Sleek and clean ambience with a proper training carpet. Trainers are accomplished and experienced in teaching children. 2 thumbs up!

My son has been training at Wenwu Learning Studio for the past two years, and it has truly been an outstanding experience. The instructors are not only highly skilled in Wushu but also incredibly patient, encouraging, and committed to helping each student grow—both in their martial arts skills and personal development. Classes are well-structured, with a strong focus on proper technique, strength, and flexibility. The environment is both disciplined and nurturing, which really motivates students to push their limits while enjoying the process. One thing we’ve especially appreciated is the sense of community at the studio—everyone supports and uplifts one another, making training sessions something my son always looks forward to. Beyond regular classes, Wenwu also offers students the chance to take part in public performances. These opportunities have helped boost my son's confidence and given him a chance to showcase what he has learned. It's wonderful to see the pride and excitement that come from being part of such events. I want to express my sincere thanks to all the coaches at Wenwu for their hard work and dedication. A special thank you goes to Coach Ivy, whose guidance, care, and encouragement have made a lasting impact on my son’s journey. I highly recommend Wenwu Learning Studio to anyone looking for quality Wushu training in a supportive and inspiring environment.
We have been with Wenwu Learning Studio for about five years and it has been an incredible journey. My sons have not only grown in their wushu skills but have also learnt valuable life lessons that go far beyond the textbook. They have developed empathy, resilience, independence and a strong sense of teamwork.
The many opportunities for overseas training and competitions have opened their eyes to the world and built their confidence in ways I could never have imagined. What makes Wenwu truly special is the coaches. They are not just teaching skills, they genuinely care for my boys as individuals. They encourage, guide and push them because they see the potential in them.
I am deeply grateful for the way Wenwu has shaped my sons, not just into better athletes but into better people. This is more than a sports studio, it is a place where character is built and dreams are nurtured.
Wenwu Wushu has been a fantastic place for our kids to learn and grow. In just a few months, our daughter has improved significantly—she’s more confident, focused, and disciplined. Our son recently joined the beginner class and absolutely loves it.
The classes are well-structured and engaging—designed to build not just physical strength and coordination, but also focus and resilience. What truly sets Wenwu Wushu apart are the coaches. They are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient, always taking the time to guide each child according to their individual needs and pace. Their encouragement and positive reinforcement create a warm, supportive atmosphere where kids feel safe to push their limits and grow. The coaches also emphasize respect, discipline, and perseverance, making each session both fun and meaningful. Thanks to their dedication, both our daughter and son feel motivated and excited to attend every class. Highly recommended!
Our family’s experience with Wenwu started during Covid in 2021. Since then, it has been an amazing journey of self-discovery and growth for every one of us in our family with Wenwu. All of us in the family have attended lessons with Wenwu, whether for competitive wushu or for recreation.
Our son, in particular, spends the most time training at Wenwu. From a little boy who cried learning the basics of wushu, he has grown tougher, more resilient and more self-disciplined over the years. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all the coaches in Wenwu who have played important roles in his growth. The coaches at Wenwu not only teach the techniques in Wushu, but by journeying wholeheartedly with the students, teach important life lessons to the students.
Every training session is a step closing to improving, and every competition our son takes part in is an opportunity to learn and grow, and we are grateful that his coaches never fail to walk him through every learning point.
Wenwu Learning studio also has a very welcoming vibe, with strong cohesiveness amongst families, and we are thankful for the partnership, not only with the coaches, but also with fellow parents at the studio.
We’ve been with Wenwu Learning Studio for almost a year now, and I can confidently say it has been an incredibly rewarding journey for my child.
Under the guidance of Coach Ivy and Coach Jasmine, we’ve received not just professional coaching, but also sincere and heartfelt advice that reflects their true care for the children. They have an amazing eye for potential in each student and work earnestly to nurture it. Coach Eric also brings a wealth of experience, and his friendly nature makes the children feel at ease and motivated to train.
The training environment at Wenwu is both comfortable and encouraging, fostering not just physically but also mental discipline and confidence. I’ve personally seen tremendous improvements in my child, both in strength and in mindset in just a year.
What truly sets Wenwu apart are the Coaches dedications. They constantly brings in meaningful opportunities like overseas training, competitions, and public performances, that not only push the students to grow but also provide a stronger edge for DSA pathways. They also initiates bonding sessions that connect students, coaches, and even parents, creating a warm and united community.
As the saying goes, “台上一分钟,台下十年功” This is the spirit of learning at Wenwu. hard work, consistency, and heart behind every achievement.

My son started learning wushu at The Wushu Lab in July 2024. After watching her brother train for so long, my daughter began her own wushu journey there a year later. Our experience with The Wushu Lab has been nothing short of wonderful.
A big shout-out to Coach Reanne, who is hands down the best wushu coach we’ve encountered. Over the past one and a half years, we have watched her train every child with unwavering dedication, heart, and professionalism. She is truly one of a kind. We continue to be amazed by how thoughtfully she caters to children of different ages, personalities, and abilities.
One of the most impressive things about The Wushu Lab is the strong, supportive community that has grown under her guidance. Coach Reanne has cultivated an inclusive culture where children train very hard together, cheer one another on, have fun, and push each other to improve. Her training is not for the faint-hearted, but the children emerge more disciplined, resilient, determined, and full of respect and care for others. They learn to work hard and always give their very best.
The growth we have seen both in character and wushu skills, is remarkable. Their outstanding results in the recent wushu championships speak for themselves. The children have truly blossomed under Coach Reanne’s guidance.
Coach Reanne is an excellent coach who really cares about the development of the kids and is willing to spend a lot of time and effort to coach them to their full potential. Wushu Lab is like a close knit family and they take their personal time to organise gatherings to bring the students and parents closer together. A great place to train and highly recommended!
The Wushu Lab is an amazing wushu school with wonderful coaches. My son just joined the school 3 weeks ago, and our experience with the school has been nothing short of exceptional. We can see how much his interest in the sport has picked up. He looks forward to classes and bugs us to let him go for more and more wushu classes each day.
What sets this school apart are the caring and dedicated coaches who put their heart and soul into teaching and guiding their students. Even though he’s only been here for 3 weeks, we feel the coaches already know him better than the coaches in his previous school where he learnt wushu for more than 2 years. All the coaches are great, but kudos to coach Reanne who knows how to motivate him, when to be strict with him, and when he needs more encouragement. They really go the extra mile for him. Coach Reanne has really built a school with a wonderful culture where the kids all look out for each other and help each other out. I was so amazed by how the students looked out for my son when he was still unfamiliar with the class during his first lesson, and made sure to help him and guide him along. The kids all have such good empathy, initiative and leadership and I’m sure this can only be attributed to how they have been nurtured in this school.
In a short 3 weeks, thanks to the coaches’ and especially Coach Reanne’s guidance, my son improved so much and did much better than we all expected in the competition today. We are very inspired by the care and support from the coaches here. Coach Ruiyan also communicates clearly with us to let us know the training plans she has for my son. We feel very supported and guided in this school.
Aside from growing in his wushu skills, I’m looking forward to him growing in character too. Highly recommend The Wushu Lab!
Ever since our boy started his training under Coach Reanne, we’ve seen tremendous improvement from him, and we’re also pleased to say that his interest for the sport picked back up again. His confidence level also increased, wanting to better himself each competition. Big credits to Coach Reanne, also kudos to Coach Benette and Coach Geng, for their encouragement, time and patience in guiding the kids under their wings. Trainings may be tough and hard, but we can see that the kids also enjoyed their time together (during break times or parties etc). Highly recommended for those who are looking for a community that’s very focus-led, and to unleash individual kid’s potential.
It’s amazing how far kids can grow when a good coach believes in them. I have two kids with The Wushu Lab, and my son was one of the youngest students with the studio. Despite being the youngest in the team, both Coach Reanne and Coach Benette have patiently polished and sharpened up his Wushu skills and constantly motivates him to always challenge himself.
This clearly shows that not only are the coaches highly experienced, they are dedicated and attentive to each child, truly encouraging each to their strengths. As busy working parents, we are very thankful that the coaches have always make themselves very accessible and are very supportive.
We have tried other Wushu classes before, so I can see a unique difference in The Wushu Lab's coaching methodology from their team of dedicated coaches!
This is a big family where the coaches not only teaches Wushu but also inculcate the values of being an athlete, and the importance of perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles. Thank you, coaches, for believing in our kids.

Brought my daughter here for her first Wushu class. Coaches are patient and professional, and the environment is very welcoming for beginners. She enjoyed the session and is excited to continue!
Senior Coach Aaron is truly exceptional. My child is naturally very mild and timid, but under Coach Aaron’s guidance, he blossomed with confidence and skill. In just three months, Coach Aaron’s systematic, step-by-step coaching helped my child master both the butterfly kick and back aerial — something we never imagined possible in such a short time.
His approach is patient, structured, and incredibly effective. Every session was tailored to my child’s pace, yet gently pushed them to grow. The transformation was not just physical, but mental — my child now approaches challenges with far more self-belief.
Highly recommended for 1-on-1 private coaching if you're looking for accelerated progress in a supportive and professional environment. Coach Aaron doesn’t just teach technique — he builds character.
Brought my 2 kids for trial yesterday and they enjoyed themselves alot! Many thanks to Coach Siyuan for his attentive teaching of my 2 kids during the trial lesson.
Love the teacher-to-student ratio here. Brought my son for his 1st trial class and was really surprise how this experience turns out to be. He had never attended any trials before and he's so attentive and adapted quickly simply because of the attention & guidance by the coaches. Would like to specially give a shoutout to coach SiYuan, who's is very loving and patient with my son being in a new environment. Highly recommended Xuan! Especially the part it's in a supermaket haha can shop while the kids train. Win-win. THUMBS UP

Awesome studio to learn wushu especially from Coach KaiTing and Coach Liansheng!
Coach KaiTing is a very strict but caring 教练. My son has been attending her classes regularly for the past three years. He was exceptionally happy to have done well in recent NSG.
Coach Liansheng is my younger son’s beginner class 教练. His patience and meticulous teachings has made a great impact on him, to persevere and continue learning wushu.
Great coaches and environment. Was completely new to wushu and decided to give it a try together with my wife and son. Both of them also enjoy it. Coach Timothy was very friendly and able to bring up the class atmosphere. This school also helps to train up kids discipline. Beside being an older age to learn wushu, they are still able to cater different course path for different individuals.
Great productive sessions with the coach Shaun, master Leo, and classmates. They are all very patient with me even though I keep making mistakes or not pushing hard enough. The classes have been very good exercises that push my limits especially on the legs and the back. I feel that I have become noticeably healthier than before even though I started to really focus on improving my health in many aspects early last year. My family thought that I got taller but I think it is my straighter back, thanks to the countless reminders by the coaches and classmates to keep it straight.
I feel that even after one year, there’s still much more for me to learn and I’m looking forward to it!
Coaches are caring, always go extra mile to make sure students are not just competent in wushu but also learn moral values like perseverance and diligence. I love to see my children cheering for their friends when training is tough. The team spirit is simply awesome!
As a parent, I observed significant progress on majority of Students over time.... New Generation Management Team and Coaches, providing a lot of young positive vibes to the Kids. Always innovative on managing the learning attitude of students. Venue is well maintain with good hygiene practices (especially during CB period)..
As for my boys, I do not see them dragging themselves to training (which is good for us) ... they are always looking forward to the train, and meeting their classmates..
Kudos to MH team... Keep It Going...

Sifu Tan is a fantastic Taiji Coach with a weatlh of knowledge and patience. I had the pleasure to spend three days training for 8 hours with her this summer when I had a few days free on a business trip. I was able to learn the entire Yang 40 form in just a few days. I can't wait to return and continue to improve my technique and abilities, as I was amazed at how quickly I was able to learn under her tutelage.
I was passing through Singapore and wanted to take lessons. I found May through Google and was able to connect via Whatsapp. We were able to lock down a date and time and I really enjoyed my session. I really wanted to learn how to use the fan prop and May was able to accommodate. I do have minimal prior experience with wushu but not Taiji and May was very patient at assessing my level and helping me figure out the best way to learn the choreography. If you're staying in the downtown area this was very convenient to get to and easy to coordinate. The session was so much fun! Definitely don't forget to bring water!
Master May Tan’s passion about Taiji is evident in the way she talks about it to her students. Despite having taught the art for decades, she is still fascinated by its benefits, and wants all her students to experience them. She is patient and persistent, and her style is just beautiful to watch!
Xinying Wushu Training Centre has been an exceptional experience for my daughter. The training sessions are rigorous, often exceeding the scheduled 1.5 hours, but the results speak for themselves. The coaches, who are experienced and often serve as judges at national Wushu championships, push students to their limits in a supportive environment.
Led by the founder and principal, Mdm Tan, a former national athlete and medalist at the Wushu Asian Games, the focus goes beyond basic postures. They emphasize rhythm, fluidity, and sharpness between movements, ensuring a holistic approach to training.
What sets Xinying apart is their ability to pinpoint and correct problematic postures, movements, or styles. Thanks to their expertise, my daughter's performance improved significantly, as evidenced by her score jumping from 7.6 to 8.1, from the 2023 National Wushu Championships (Nov) to the National School Games in 2024, within just two months of training.
Our only regret is not enrolling earlier. With an additional two months of training, she might have cracked the top 6. Nonetheless, we're immensely grateful for the progress she's made at Xinying Wushu Training Centre.
My daughter was in another wushu school prior to Xinying. She was encouraged by the previous school to compete. She was also taking personal coaching lessons for it. For her first competition she got 8.01. A friend introduced us to Xinying. Since joining Xinying, she has improved tremendously and this is without personal coaching. For her second competition she got 8.44. Coach May is passionate about passing on the art to the next generation. She will always coach them way past the timing. And always encouraged the kids in a positive manner. My daughter now practice daily on her own accord and always looking forward to the training. What a change in attitude!

Ms Yu Ling Koh provided great service for my feedback about misuse of CDC Voucher and also help to send a link for us to report. Provide clear instructions to follow up. However, hope they could get back to us instead of us asking for a follow up but other than that it was great service.
I was an old VS boy so seeing this building brings back so much memories. The building is now PA HQ and would be great if the PA would consider making it more accessible to the public.
The irony is that the security was really lax when we were students, people could just walk across the front of the school but now the entire compound is barricaded and closed when it’s owned by a people’s organization.

Price Range
Course Price: $130.00 to $140.00. Material Fee for one set of uniform: $50.00.
Coach qualifications: Look into the instructors’ experience, coaching certifications and competition or judging background if that matters to your family.
Beginner-friendliness: If your child is new to martial arts, check whether classes are clearly suitable for beginners and how the centre introduces basic movements.
Age fit: A class designed for preschoolers can feel very different from one for primary school children or teens, so make sure the structure matches your child’s stage.
Teaching style: Some centres focus on close personal attention, while others have a larger academy feel. Choose the environment your child is most likely to respond to.
Values and ethos: Many parents choose Wushu for discipline, respect, resilience and confidence. See whether the centre’s approach aligns with those goals.
Class size and attention: Ask whether children receive enough correction, feedback and supervision during sessions, especially in foundational classes.
Safety and supervision: This matters for younger children, beginners and any class involving jumps, weapons or advanced routines.
Progression pathway: Consider whether you want a recreational activity, grading and performance opportunities, or exposure to competitions later on.
Training environment: Think about whether the venue feels clean, organised and suitable for physical training.
Confidence building: For shy or hesitant children, a supportive and encouraging environment can be as important as technical instruction.
Physical development goals: Decide if you want your child to improve flexibility, balance, coordination, stamina, strength or overall body awareness.
Character development: If long-term habits like perseverance, patience and self-discipline matter to you, choose a programme that actively reinforces them.
Trial options: A trial class lets you observe how the coach interacts with children and whether your child enjoys the pace and atmosphere.
Price transparency: Check whether the centre clearly states fees, trial fees, package validity, uniform costs or any additional equipment charges.
Location and routine: A convenient location supports consistency, which is important for skill development.
Child’s personality and goals: The best fit is not always the most competitive option, but the one that matches your child’s confidence level, interests and learning pace.
