Secondary 3 Principles of Accounts (POA) tuition can make a real difference when your child is just starting POA and finding it tougher than expected. Many Sec 3 students do not struggle because they are careless, they struggle because double-entry, source documents and financial statements can feel abstract at the beginning. If you are comparing Secondary 3 tuition centres in Singapore, it helps to look past the branding and think about whether the teaching style really suits how your child learns. This guide rounds up 10 options for Secondary 3 POA tuition, including home tuition and specialist POA tuition centres, so you can compare teaching style, class format, fees and overall fit more confidently.
Key Takeaways
Good Secondary 3 POA tuition should help your child understand accounting logic, not just memorise formats.
Class size, lesson format and access to extra help matter a lot for Sec 3 students who are new to POA.
The right secondary POA tuition option depends on your child’s confidence level, schedule, budget and whether they need one-to-one or group support.
MindFlex – Your Best Platform for Secondary 3 POA Home Tuition
Overview of Business
MindFlex Tuition Agency is a Singapore home tuition agency that helps families find suitable tutors for Secondary 3 POA tuition without having to search through options one by one. Rather than running fixed classroom lessons, MindFlex matches your teen with a private tutor who can teach at home or online based on subject needs, learning pace, budget and schedule. For Sec 3 POA, that flexibility can be especially helpful because students start the subject with very different levels of confidence. Some need support understanding double-entry right from the beginning, while others need focused practice in balancing accounts, source documents and financial statements. MindFlex gives parents access to a large tutor network, including part-time tutors, full-time tutors and ex or current MOE teachers, so support can be matched more closely to your teen’s syllabus, weaker areas and academic goals.
Why Parents Choose MindFlex?
Parents often turn to MindFlex when they want Secondary 3 POA tuition that feels more personalised than a standard class. A one-to-one tutor can slow down when your teen feels stuck on accounting entries, or move faster when school topics are still manageable. That matters in POA because once the early chapters are shaky, later topics tend to feel much harder. MindFlex also suits busy families who prefer home or online lessons, especially when CCA, school tests and travel time are already filling up the week. The free tutor-matching service makes the search feel less overwhelming, and quick recommendations can be especially helpful when support is needed urgently.
Excellent customer service from MindFlex Home Tuition Megan. She was very patient, responsive, and took the time to understand my child’s learning needs and goals before recommending a tutor. Megan provided suitable options and helped us find a good English tutor who matched my child’s learning style. The whole process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I appreciate her dedication and prompt follow-up throughout. Highly recommend Megan to parents looking for reliable support in finding the right tutor for their child.
I’m very grateful to MindFlex, especially Alyssa and her team, for their patience and dedication in helping to source a suitable tutor for my son.
This is the 2nd time I look for them to source a tutor. This time round I had more specific requirements, including the tutor’s age group, gender and most importantly, someone who is patient and able to communicate well with students who are weaker in Chinese. Alyssa and the team were understanding, responsive and professional throughout the entire process.
They took the effort to carefully match a tutor who suits my son’s learning needs and personality. I truly appreciate their commitment and excellent service. Highly recommended for parents looking for reliable and attentive tuition support!
I’m very happy with the tutoring service arranged by Alyssa and her team. Both tutors (Xinbo and Ban Cheng) have been great and my child really enjoys the lessons with them. We can already see some improvement, which is very encouraging.
Thank you for being so responsive and helpful throughout the arrangement process. Really appreciate the support and would definitely recommend them to other parents looking for reliable tutors.
Alyssa is a very supportive and reliable coordinator. She helped me secure Tamil tuition assignments smoothly and always communicates clearly and promptly. She is professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. I truly appreciate her effort in matching suitable students and providing assistance when needed. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to working with her again in the future. Radah Kasiramu
Being a tutor, I would like to sincerely thank MindFlex teams for the consistent support and assistance in helping me secure tuition assignments. I truly appreciate the effort of the agents, particularly Cassandra, Alyssa, Megan, Jerlyn and Jane, who put in great effort into the coordination with tutors and parents.
The agents have always been professional and helpful throughout the process. Their support and dedication have made it much easier for me to find suitable students and successfully close assignments.
It is definitely a pleasant experience working with MindFlex. I look forward to work together on more assignments in the future!
From student Teacher Lay Chin is good at explaining the subject and makes the topic fun and interesting. She is able to guide students well and cater to their needs. From student's mommy My daugther feels comfortable with Teacher Lay Chin is very quickly. She is soft spoken, gentle & caring. My girl especially enjoy the fun challenge of doing the maths questions together. Thanks to Teacher Lay Chin, my daugther''s results improved from F to A in 3 months!! I will strongly recommend Teacher Lay Chin.
It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.
Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tutor who genuinely cares and delivers excellent results
Friendly, pleasant, swift, helpful and most importantly not pushy

Teaching Methodology
MindFlex focuses on one-to-one home or online tuition rather than a fixed class curriculum.
Tutors are matched to your teen’s Sec 3 POA level, learning gaps, timing preferences and budget.
Lessons can be customised to current school topics such as double-entry, ledger accounts, source documents and financial statements.
A tutor can spend more time correcting misconceptions step by step, which may help teens who stay quiet in school and fall behind without asking questions.
For stronger students, lessons can shift towards exam-style application, timed practice and targeted correction of repeated errors.
Home or online lessons can also reduce travel fatigue and make it easier to keep tuition consistent during busy school weeks.
Location and Availability
Islandwide home tuition is available in Singapore, and online lessons can also be arranged for families who prefer a more flexible setup. This may suit parents who want Secondary 3 tuition support without adding extra travel to the week.
Price Range
MindFlex’s tutor-matching service is free for clients. For Secondary 3 to Secondary 5 tuition, rates generally start from $35 to $45 per hour for part-time tutors, $45 to $65 per hour for full-time tutors, and $70 to $95 per hour for ex or current MOE teachers.
Beyond home tuition, MindFlex has also brought together information on these Secondary 3 POA tuition options in Singapore, making it easier for parents to compare centres, lesson formats, fees and contact details in one place. This can be helpful when you are trying to shortlist a secondary POA tuition centre without spending hours jumping from site to site.
1. Master Principles of Accounts
Overview of Business
Master Principles of Accounts is one of the more focused options on this list because they specialise specifically in accounting and POA. Founded in 2008 and operated by Jump Grades Education, they support Secondary 3 students through physical classes, live online tuition, one-to-one lessons and self-paced resources. For parents looking at Secondary 3 POA tuition, that subject focus can make a real difference. Sec 3 is when many teens first meet accounting concepts, and a general Secondary tuition setup may not always go deep enough into POA confusion. Master Principles of Accounts builds its programme around helping students understand why an entry is made, not just where numbers should go. That can be reassuring if your teen keeps memorising formats without truly grasping the logic. Their small-group Serangoon classes are capped at eight students, which may appeal to families who want more support without moving straight into private one-to-one tuition.
Why Parents Choose Master Principles of Accounts?
Parents often shortlist Master Principles of Accounts because the whole setup is centred on POA rather than treating it as just one subject among many. That can be especially useful for Sec 3 students who are still building their foundation and need explanations from tutors who know the usual beginner mistakes well. The teaching team includes accounting graduates, professionals and a former MOE POA teacher, while principal tutor Caleb Ho has more than 16 years of teaching experience. Small class sizes may also matter if your teen tends to get lost quietly in bigger groups. The availability of recordings, practice materials and progress feedback adds helpful support between lessons too.
Thank you Teacher Elliot for guiding me through this journey from June 2025. I started with a F9. With your patience and coaching, I achieved a A2 in my N-levels and qualified for PFP. Your teaching was fabulous and easy to understand. Once again, thank you!
Dear Master Principles of Accounts, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Teacher Joy, my son’s POA teacher, for her excellent guidance and experience. My son had never taken POA in secondary school, but he excelled in the subject in 7 to 8 months (where students typically require 2 years to master). Under Teacher Joy's patient and skillful coaching, he achieved a good credit of B4 in POA. She truly worked wonders—thank you Teacher Joy and thank you Caleb, for recommending such a dedicated teacher! 👏👏👏
My son has struggled with POA as he was just getting a C5 until I met Mr Caleb. Mr Caleb has made much efforts to my son and has given extra lessons for him to cope such as using “LEAP” and “HBUL” methods and how he wants my son to use logic instead. Now my son has gotten A2 for N levels and I am really proud of him. I would strongly recommend Master of POA to my friends! Thank you so much Mr.Caleb for his kind attention, patience and effort to my son. Really appreciate it.
The methods learned from this tution helped me a lot from failing to distinction in a year. It really helped me pull my grades up as I gradually learn to use logic and how I understand to tackle the questions. A few of the equations that help me is HBUL and HUAL as it is only 2 formula easy to remember and apply! Through this my work load to memorise became lesser. Caleb is truly a miracle worker!!😆
The tuition really has helped me tremendously! From a C5 during my Secondary 4 life to A1 for EOY, even I myself couldn't believe I could understand the EOY papers easily compared to the time I took POA! Teacher Caleb has helped me cover the whole POA Syllabus in less than a year such as using HBUL, ALICE and my favourite being HUAL. HUAL easily covered one chapter in an ease. Teacher Caleb would even give extra classes as I was struggling for POA. At first, I was thinking of getting a B3 but looking at the paper, I know it's definitely an A! If you ever think POA is hard, this class will definitely prove you wrong!
Subjects Offered
Principles of Accounts (Sec 3-4)
O Level Preparation (Sec 4)
N Level Preparation (Sec 4)
Teaching Methodology
Master Principles of Accounts uses the LEAP framework, which breaks learning into logical sequence, equation, application and practice.
Accounting ideas are first taught through logic and real-world analogies so students understand the reason behind each entry.
Complex transactions are converted into structured equations, which may help Sec 3 students who feel overwhelmed by multiple steps.
Students are trained to move from understanding to standard exam-ready presentation.
Diagnostic assessment may be used to identify weak areas such as double-entry, terminology and financial statements.
Small-group classes combine syllabus teaching, practice questions and exam technique.
Live online lessons come with recordings, which can help teens revisit a topic after school if they were too shy to ask during class.
Students may contact tutors on WhatsApp for clarification outside lessons.
Location and Availability
Classes are available at Serangoon and Jurong East, with live online group tuition also offered for Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 or 5 students. For families in the North East or West, the two physical locations give some flexibility, while online lessons may suit teens with packed schedules.
Price Range
For Secondary 3 POA tuition, online classes are priced at $75 per 90-minute session, while Serangoon onsite classes are $80 per 90-minute session. Term fees generally range from $600 to $800 depending on the term length.
Bespoke Learning Centre offers tuition across multiple subjects from preschool to Secondary 4 or 5, with four locations in Yishun, Punggol, Tampines and Sembawang. For parents specifically searching for Secondary 3 POA tuition, the appeal here is less about POA specialisation and more about structured small-group support with a customised teaching style. They position themselves around adapting to each child’s learning needs and pace, with Secondary classes generally capped at eight students. That can matter for a Sec 3 teen who has only recently started POA and may already feel embarrassed about not understanding journal entries or ledger work. Because Bespoke also supports a wider range of Secondary subjects, it may suit families who prefer one tuition centre for more than POA alone. Their curriculum is designed by former MOE teachers and aligned with the current syllabus, which gives parents some reassurance that the teaching stays relevant to school expectations.
Why Parents Choose Bespoke Learning Centre?
Bespoke Learning Centre may appeal to parents who want a smaller, more guided class environment for Secondary 3 tuition. POA can become frustrating quite quickly when a teen falls behind, and a class cap of around six to eight students may make it easier for tutors to spot confusion early and give direct feedback. Their customised teaching approach also matters because not every Sec 3 student struggles in the same way. Some need conceptual explanation, while others need repeated practice and stronger structure. The 24/7 WhatsApp homework support can be especially helpful during weekday evenings, when many parent-child revision attempts end in stress rather than clarity.
Bespoke Learning Centre has been wonderful for our kid. Ms Natasha and all teachers are caring and friendly. My child feels happy and safe there. The teachers help with schoolwork which takes a huge load off for us parents. The students are also taught about the importance of chores. My child enjoys the food here. We are glad we found this student care centre.
I'm truly grateful for the care and attention Bespoke provides to my child, prioritizing his well-being and safety. I wholeheartedly recommend this centre, especially Teacher Natasha and Teacher Killa, for the exceptional care they give to our son.
I’m very happy with this student care centre. The teachers and staff are caring, patient, and genuinely attentive to the children’s needs. They not only provide a safe and comfortable environment but also help with homework, encourage good habits, and organise fun, engaging activities. My child has grown more confident, independent, and always looks forward to going. Highly recommended to any parent looking for quality care and guidance for their child.
At Bespoke, the teachers are both professional and knowledgeable, creating a supportive and engaging environment for learning. The staff are approachable and make the center a welcoming place for students. My child enjoys attending Bespoke for after-school care, and I appreciate the wide range of activities available, especially during school holidays. They also assist with homework and provide additional assessments, which has been incredibly helpful. Overall, Bespoke offers a fantastic balance of education and recreation, and I’m very pleased with the care and support my child receives.
Don’t recommend for this learning Center at wisteria mall. The teacher and staff and so call manager can’t give a answer 1st - teacher keep come late and make us wait 2nd - the admin staff change the teacher for the day without informing the student parent 3rd - for primary 1 math , they teach the kids by using calculator and is not the first time. 4th - the manager keep reject me to say to the higher authority.
Think twice if you gonna send your kids to here.

Nanyang Educational Consultancy, established in 2008, offers a broad range of tuition programmes across Primary, Secondary and Junior College. For Secondary 3 POA tuition, they are not a POA-only provider, but they do include secondary POA alongside Math, English and Science options. That may suit families who prefer an established tuition centre with multiple subjects under one roof. Their overall approach emphasises adapting lessons to each student’s learning pace while trying to improve results without adding unnecessary stress. For parents of Sec 3 teens, that balance can matter. POA is a subject where some students become discouraged early because they keep getting the format wrong and start assuming they are simply “not an accounts person”. Nanyang Educational Consultancy positions its teaching around focused learning, active coaching and personalised help, which may be useful for teens who need patient rebuilding rather than pressure alone.
Parents may consider Nanyang Educational Consultancy for Secondary 3 POA tuition if they want an established brand with multiple branches and a mentoring-style approach. Their Tutors Mentoring Programme suggests more active tutor interaction, which can matter in POA when a teen needs someone to catch mistakes early rather than only marking them afterwards. The wider academic support may also help if your child is juggling POA with weaker Math or Science subjects. Nanyang Educational Consultancy also highlights NIE-trained tutors and regularly updated curriculum materials, which may reassure parents who want a more structured Secondary tuition environment rather than ad hoc help.
i understood what the teacher is teaching me. mr louis is an amazing teacher and a funny one. mr Thasvind is also a caring teacher he teachers an easy and simple method in math.my science improved tremendously in sec 1 and i got promoted from g2 to g3 in 5 months.
the teachers here explain stuff really clearly which i like as i have problems understanding things easily. teachers are also caring and the admin ms hilda is very nice , my usual grades for my exams in primary school is al19 but i had a 2 points improvement for psle and i got al17 overall i think this tuition is good and i reccomend
I’m a student at Nanyang Educational Consultancy (West Coast Tuition), and I’ve had Mr Thasshvind as my tutor for the past year. He’s really friendly and makes lessons feel light-hearted, but he’s strict when he needs to be. I can be a bit of a “naughty” student, yet he’s incredibly patient and has this amazing way of explaining Maths (my weakest subject) so clearly that I finally passed my O-Level after struggling for 5 years. If you want a tutor who’s fun, patient, and actually makes Maths click, he’s the one!
i've been a student there for only a year, but it's a great place! the learning environment is very condusive, and the tutors are very nice. it has been a joy to be there, and i got the desired result for psle! my results improved by AL1 for math, but it's a huge difference overall. it's a great tution centre!
My son Ethan has just only started tuition at Nanyang Educational Centre at Ang Mo Kio this year, in preparation for his PSLE. English, Chinese and Science were his subjects that he needed help in, and he definitely got that at Nanyang Educational Centre! Even though he started late mid term, his grades still improved and he was so happy the moment he got his results, with a huge wide smile across his face! Thank u Nanyang Educational Centre for the help and support u have shown!

RG Channel Future School, established in 1988, is a long-running tuition provider that supports Primary and Secondary students through specialist teaching in English, Math, Science and POA. For parents researching Secondary 3 POA tuition, RG Channel Future School is one of the options that includes POA within a broader Secondary tuition setup rather than as a standalone accounting specialist. They highlight more than three decades of experience and a teaching environment centred on fun, engagement and confidence-building. That may sound broad at first, but it can still matter in POA. Some Sec 3 teens switch off because they find accounting dry, technical or intimidating, especially after a few weaker school results. A teaching style that keeps lessons engaging may help those students stay involved long enough to understand the subject properly. Small and focused groups are also part of their approach, which may suit teens who need more direct attention and clearer guidance.
Why Parents Choose RG Channel Future School?
RG Channel Future School may appeal to parents who want an established Secondary tuition provider with small-group teaching and regular feedback. POA is often easier to recover early in Sec 3 than later in Sec 4, so smaller groups can be useful when your teen needs someone to notice repeated posting or balancing mistakes before they become fixed habits. RG Channel Future School also mentions biannual assessments and feedback, which may help parents track whether tuition is translating into clearer understanding. For families who prefer a structured environment with a long operating history, their years of experience may offer added reassurance, even if POA is only one part of their overall subject range.
You know, for ages, maths tuition felt like just another chore. I'd go, listen, and still feel utterly lost when faced with a tricky question. Then, my seniors started raving about RG Channel Future School, and honestly, I was a bit sceptical, but decided to give it a shot. And wow, am I glad I did! From that very first maths session, something just clicked. It was the first time I genuinely felt like, "Hey, maybe I can actually master this!"
The biggest game-changer for me has been Teacher Alex. He's just brilliant. Seriously, he takes these confusing, challenging maths problems and breaks them down into such small, digestible parts that it's like a lightbulb goes off every time. Suddenly, things that seemed impossible make perfect sense. He's also got this amazing ability to figure out exactly where I'm at and then gently, but firmly, push me to really prepare for my school prelims. His guidance has been absolutely invaluable.
But it's not just his teaching that makes him stand out. Teacher Alex truly goes above and beyond. I was genuinely touched when he actually spent his own money to put together stationery packs for us. And these weren't just a few pencils! We got a full mathematical set, including a really high-quality compass, which has made all our geometry constructions so much easier. It just shows how much he genuinely cares about each of us and our success.
I feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon RG Channel Future School. It's more than just a tuition centre; it's a place with teachers who truly care. If you're feeling frustrated with your maths and not seeing the progress you want, please, do yourself a favour and check out RG Channel Future School. It really could be the turning point you're looking for!
I highly recommend RG Channel Future School, especially Mr. Alex Quek! Before joining Mr. Quek’s math tuition in the middle of Secondary 3, math was my weakest subject, and I consistently received failing grades despite trying two different tuition centres. My previous experiences were incredibly frustrating. Some tutors merely provided practice work without proper guidance, while others taught at a breakneck pace, leaving me feeling lost. The biggest hurdle was the inflexible and rigid teaching styles I encountered elsewhere. Discovering Mr. Alex Quek was a turning point in my life. From the very beginning, his approach was refreshing. Unlike other tutors, he is open to suggestions and truly listens to his students. His explanations are clear and concise, breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible steps, which makes answering even the most challenging questions seem simple. Mr. Quek isn’t just an excellent math tutor; he also offers relevant and wise advice that extends beyond the classroom. Thanks to Mr. Quek’s dedicated guidance and exceptional teaching methods, my math grades have improved dramatically. I now confidently tackled my school’s prelim math paper and achieved outstanding results in the GCE examinations! If you’re struggling with math or looking for a tutor who genuinely cares about your progress and adapts to your learning style, look no further than Mr. Alex Quek at RG Channel Future School. His personal connection and understanding made me feel valued and understood, and I'm sure it will do the same for you. It was the best decision I made for my academic journey!
RG Channel Future School is the place where Math becomes engaging and supportive. I highly recommend RG Channel Future School for Math tuition! From the very first lesson, it was evident that this was not your typical tuition class. The sessions are highly interactive and engaging, making even the most challenging concepts easy to understand and apply. The lessons are structured to keep students involved, with regular questions, discussions, and real-life examples that bring math to life. What truly stands out is the tutor's genuine care for the students. It's not just about covering the syllabus; it's about ensuring that every student understands the material and improves. The tutor takes the time to address individual weaknesses and consistently checks in on students' progress. If a student is falling behind or preparing for an important test, the tutor will personally invite them to the centre during off-hours to study, revise, or clarify any doubts. This level of dedication is scarce. There's a warm, supportive atmosphere in class where students feel safe to ask questions and are encouraged to think critically. The tutor is patient, approachable, and deeply invested in each student's growth—not only academically but also in terms of confidence and mindset. If you're looking for a Math tuition center that combines quality teaching with heartfelt support, RG Channel Future School is the perfect place. It's more than just a tuition class; it's a community where students thrive.

ECube Science & Math Lab supports students from Primary 6 to Junior College 2 and offers help across a wide range of Secondary subjects, including POA through its Grade Enhancer Programme. For parents looking for Secondary 3 POA tuition, ECube is less of a fixed specialist POA centre and more of a flexible academic support option. That can still be helpful if your teen does not necessarily need weekly long-term POA classes, but instead needs targeted help before tests, re-teaching of weaker topics or short-term reinforcement after disappointing results. Their teaching team includes MOE-trained teachers, and they offer both weekly classes and custom small-group arrangements. This may appeal to families whose child is more comfortable learning with a few friends, especially if they feel intimidated in larger mixed classes. ECube also provides catch-up materials and video recordings for missed lessons, which is practical for busy Secondary 3 schedules where school commitments can change week to week.
Why Parents Choose ECube Science & Math Lab?
Parents may choose ECube when flexibility matters just as much as the lesson itself. Secondary 3 can be a messy year, with school workload rising and some teens only realising they need POA help after a weak class test or common test. ECube’s Grade Enhancer Programme allows short-term one-to-one or small-group support, which can be useful if your child needs immediate re-teaching without committing too quickly to a standard class. Their MOE-trained teachers and comprehensive notes may also reassure parents who want a more structured academic style. The make-up support, including materials and video recordings, can help reduce disruption when school events or illness get in the way.
Mr samson lam was my teacher and i loved my weekly classes with him!! he helped bring my chem from an E8 to an A2 and made sure i never gave up even tho i took longer to understand the information taught! he also gave us very good live advice in class and made me and my friends really passionate about chem!!! highly recommend ms lam!!!!!!!!
Mr lam is a GREAT CHEM TEACHER!! I first joined him when i was failing chemistry at the end of sec3 and had a lot of conceptual misunderstandings and self doubt. With his constant patience and guidance during lessons, i managed to gradually improve my chem grade and eventually get an A1 for O levels. He is very supportive of his students - Not only just for chemistry, he also gives us very important life lessons👍 He is very thorough when going through topics and is always open for students to ask him questions after class and goes the extra mile to clear our doubts. He is actually a chem GOAT! 5/5
Best phys tution i have been to. Mr Kang always challenged us by giving us the toughest qns teaching us of many ways a qn can be phrased. His continuous training was able to help me find o lvl qns bery easy, with only one or two that i could not do, sometimes i could do all! Very good training for o level and helped me get from failing in WA1 to a1 in o level.
Mr Lam was my chem tutor and he managed to help me improve my chem to an a1 in o levels! He is very dedicated and caring and helped me cover all the gaps in my learning. He taught me all the exam skills and helped me muster and understand all the difficult concepts, allowing me to score well on exams. His class is very engaging and his teaching helped me enjoy the subject much more.
mr lam is an extremely wonderful teacher to be taught by and i feel so lucky to have been under his guidance throughout my olevel journey. he genuinely changed the way i looked and thought about chemistry and the way i learnt the subject, making it so much easier and manageable. mr lam has also provided a ton of emotional guidance throughout the journey, pushing me on when times got tough mentally and physically. i genuinely wouldn’t have done this well without the help of mr lam and i am eternally grateful for his help. with the help of mr lam, i had a 6 grade improvement (F9 to B3) under just 5 months of tutorage. your life will change for the better !

Good School Learning Hub is founded by ex-MOE specialists and offers tuition across Primary, Secondary and Junior College levels. For this article, the most relevant point is that they include POA for Sec 3 and Sec 4 within a wider Secondary academic setup. If your teen needs Secondary 3 POA tuition but also struggles with English, Math or Science, this kind of multi-subject environment may be practical. Good School Learning Hub presents itself as strategy-driven and empathetic, with lessons designed to build confidence instead of simply drilling content. That matters in POA, where some teens quickly lose heart after getting entire questions wrong even when they thought they understood the chapter. A centre that combines academic structure with teacher support may be a better fit for students who are anxious, hesitant to ask questions, or discouraged by repeated mistakes. They also offer free diagnostic consultations before enrolment.
Why Parents Choose Good School Learning Hub?
Parents may consider Good School Learning Hub when they want a more supportive Secondary tuition environment rather than a highly pressurised one. Their broader teaching philosophy focuses on confidence, logic and clear routines, which can matter in Sec 3 POA when teens are still trying to make sense of accounting rules and question formats. Because the founders are ex-MOE specialists, some parents may feel more assured about lesson structure and syllabus alignment. The free diagnostic consultation also gives families a chance to gauge fit before committing. That can be useful if you are unsure whether your child needs weekly POA tuition, subject rescue, or simply a clearer teaching approach.
I am writing this review to express my sincere appreciation towards Good School. I am an express student who took the A math O Level examinations in 2025. At the start of my secondary 3 A math journey, i found myself struggling to keep up with the content taught at school as A math is a very complicated subject and it did not help that my school teacher was rushing through the topics. Hence, I made a choice and decided to seek help here at Good School. My tutor, Mr Zhang helped me thoroughly with my studies. From patiently explaining the complex topics to answering all my burning questions , i knew i could always count on Mr Zhang to help me understand them. Aside from the tutors, Good School also has many facilities such as the study corner to help provide a conducive study space even before class starts. If I were to retake O Levels again, i would no doubt choose Good School!
Join on the last 3-4mth hoping to get a pass on English & science subjects for psle. They did a good work teaching my girl & yes AL6 passed i was very satisfied. How i wish I send her at the start maybe AL5 not a problem but well I cant rewind time. 1 time i forget a tuition they send a video on the teaching altho i not encouraging to skip a lesson but to say they won't let it go & send a video cover the skipped lesson.
Math had always been my strong suit since lower secondary, however taking A math in Sec 3 led to the downfall of my math grades, as I could not comprehend the topics being taught to me in school. Being in a top class, I've always felt inferior to my classmates who were consistently scoring A1s effortlessly, while I was still stuck at F9 even with my utmost effort. As a result, I applied to The Good School, hoping to turn the tides.
The first few lessons with Mr Zhang was not the smoothest. After all, this was my first time in a tuition centre, so I didn't really understand what was to be expected from me. However, Mr Zhang had been nothing but kind and patient to me. He has taught Amath in a way that was simple to understand, yet clear and concise, even suggesting strategys to tackle specific questions along the way. Moreover, Mr Zhang did share with the class his own academic struggles, having been in the same position as me when he was in Sec3. This made me feel inspired, and determined that I could finally pass Amath.
To my surprise, I had gotten from F9 to A2 for Sec3 EOY. I could not help but shed tears of joy that day, and I am so thankful to Mr Zhang for helping me to accomplish what I taught was impossible in the past. Please consider joining The Good School!
I am writing this letter to express my sincere appreciation and satisfaction with Good Sch Learning Hub for the remarkable impact they have had on my academic performance, particularly in English comprehension. Before joining Good Sch, I consistently struggled with comprehension and was scoring a B4 in exams despite putting in regular effort. However, after attending lessons at the centre, my results improved significantly, and I eventually achieved an A1. This transformation is a testament to the effectiveness of their teaching methods and the dedication. One of the key strengths of Good Sch Learning Hub lies in their structured and targeted approach to comprehension. Thanks to the dedicated support and effective comprehension strategies at Good Sch Learning Hub.
When I was in primary school, Mathematics was always my favourite subject. I used to score full marks in almost every test. However, once I entered Secondary 2, things became more complicated, and I began to fall behind. For my final-year exams, I even failed, almost having to repeat the year. That was when I found Mr Zhang and Good School Learning Hub.
From the very first lesson, Mr Zhang planned out the steps I needed to take. He made sure I rebuilt my basics and developed a strong foundation before moving into Secondary 3. In school, I often struggled to understand the teachers’ explanations and could not grasp the different methods taught. But Mr Zhang explained everything in his own clear and magical way, which made learning so much easier.
What made his lessons special was the way he taught — always creating a friendly and light atmosphere. He often used real-life examples or casual chats to make things interesting, and I can honestly say I always looked forward to his classes. As someone who usually hates studying and finds it hard to sit still, his lessons were the one exception — they never felt like a chore.
Joining Good School and being taught by Mr Zhang was truly one of the best decisions I’ve made. With his guidance, I went from failing to consistently scoring As. My parents and I are both deeply grateful for the effort he put into teaching me. More than just a tutor, he has been someone I could talk to and rely on for advice, and he continues to keep in touch even now that I am studying in the UK.
I genuinely appreciate everything Mr Zhang has done for me. His lessons have not only helped me academically but have also made learning enjoyable again. I could not have asked for a better teacher and mentor.

Ace Your POA is a specialist tuition provider focused specifically on POA for Secondary students and private candidates. For parents searching for Secondary 3 POA tuition, that subject-only focus is the main draw. They cater to Sec 3 Normal Academic and Sec 3 Express students, along with upper Secondary levels, which means their teaching is built around the exact stage where many teens first encounter POA seriously. This can be reassuring if your child is already saying things like “I do not get debit and credit” or “all the accounts look the same”. Ace Your POA positions its teaching around making accounting concepts easier to understand through real-life examples, rather than expecting students to memorise business terms in isolation. They also adapted to the revised POA syllabus and previously ran live virtual classrooms, which suggests some flexibility in how they support students when learning arrangements need to change.
Why Parents Choose Ace Your POA?
Parents may be drawn to Ace Your POA because it stays tightly focused on one subject. That often matters in Sec 3, when your teen is still building the foundation and does not simply need more worksheets, but clearer explanation of what accounting entries actually mean. Teaching through real-life examples may help POA feel less abstract, especially for teens who shut down when lessons become too technical too quickly. Because Ace Your POA supports both Express and Normal Academic students, it may also suit families who want a secondary POA tuition centre that understands different pacing and syllabus demands rather than using one blanket approach for everyone.
A Truly Supportive Learning Experience at Ace Your POA Joining Ace Your POA has been one of the best decisions of my academic journey. Mr. Quek is an incredibly patient and compassionate tutor who genuinely cares about each student’s progress. No matter how many times I need clarification, he always takes the time to listen attentively and guide me through my doubts with clear and thoughtful explanations. His ability to simplify complex concepts and provide real-life examples has made learning the 7087 Principles of Accounts(POA) much easier for me. More importantly, his calm and understanding nature has created a safe space where I feel comfortable asking questions without hesitation. With Mr. Quek’s consistent encouragement and expert guidance, I have experienced a significant transformation in my confidence and capability in POA. For anyone searching for a dedicated and nurturing tutor, Ace Your POA is the ideal place to learn and thrive.Thank you Mr Quek! Thank you Ace Your POA!
Best POA tuition teacher, helped me to understand difficult topics which I would not have even understood without his help. Bringing my grades up during school exams as well as allowing me to attain a good grade for my O level POA exam. He also helps to lighten the mood in class to not make lessons as boring as they usually are in regular tuition classes or in school.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Alex Quek for helping my son in his POA journey. From losing confidence in the subject to regaining motivation and striving to do well, the change in his mindset has been remarkable. Mr. Alex’s patient guidance and encouragement made all the difference.
A big thank you also to the center for the thoughtful arrangements during the final intensive program — especially providing meals for students who rushed over after their exams. Your care and support truly show how much you value your students’ well-being.
We’re deeply grateful for everything you’ve done. My son has truly given his best, and we couldn’t have asked for better guidance and support.
Updating my son O level result (14Jan26):, He got A2 for POA. From end of Sec 3 (12/100 marks, E9) to A2 in O level after joining this center. Getting a Good Progress award by edusave. Truly amazing! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I honestly couldn't be more grateful for Alex and my experience with Ace Your POA. Since starting my tuition here, my understanding of Principles of Accounts (POA) has improved by leaps and bounds. Alex has a remarkable ability to make even the most complex explanations clear and incredibly easy to grasp – that kind of clarity really only comes with years of experience. Just a quick look at his POA notes reveals the sheer amount of hard work and dedication he pours into helping his students excel.
Finding a good tutor is rare, but finding an expert tutor who is also patient and compassionate is even rarer. Alex is truly both. He's not only incredibly competent but also genuinely passionate about teaching. It's really reassuring to know he's the current POA Ten-Year Series author and boasts over 15 years of teaching experience. Plus, he's a chartered accountant in Singapore, which just adds to his credibility. He goes the extra mile by setting up simulated mock exams in a real exam setting, which gives you a fantastic taste of what the national examination will actually be like. He's also incredibly observant and thoughtful – for instance, he even took the initiative to pack stationery for his students!
What truly sets Alex apart, though, is his incredible support beyond just the lessons. When I needed a quiet place to study, he generously offered his centre, providing a really conducive environment to focus. And the absolute best part is being able to turn to him for advice on anything, whether it's studies, career choices, or even family-related problems. His wise wisdom has genuinely helped me find balance and resolve issues. Without a doubt, Ace Your POA is the trusted POA tuition solution you're looking for!
When it comes to mastering Principles of Accounts (POA), finding a tuition provider that truly delivers can be a challenge. However, Ace Your POA stands head and shoulders above the rest, largely thanks to its exceptional founder and lead educator, Mr. Alex Quek. Having personally experienced the transformative impact of his teaching, I can confidently say that Ace Your POA is the ultimate solution for any student aiming to excel.
The Expertise of Mr. Alex Quek What sets Ace Your POA apart begins with Mr. Alex Quek himself. He isn't just a tutor; he's the current author of the highly regarded POA Ten-years series and a Chartered Accountant of Singapore. This dual expertise means he brings both academic authority and real-world practical insights into the classroom. His most remarkable gift, however, is his ability to demystify complex POA concepts, transforming them into simple, easy-to-understand terms that resonate with students and enable them to truly grasp the subject matter.
Unmatched Dedication and Student Care Mr. Quek's commitment to his students goes far beyond the classroom. I was genuinely shocked and deeply impressed to receive a study pack personally curated and packed by him. This wasn't just any stationery; it included high-quality ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils, erasers, and lead. This thoughtful gesture speaks volumes about his dedication – he truly "means business" and invests a tremendous amount of care into ensuring his students have every tool they need to succeed.
A Dynamic and Focused Learning Environment The learning environment at Ace Your POA is meticulously designed for optimal focus. During regular classes, students are required to surrender their phones, ensuring undivided attention on Mr. Quek's lessons. While he can be stern when necessary, especially with "jokers" who are late or forget materials, this strictness is balanced with an incredibly engaging teaching style. Alex has a knack for sharing hilarious real-life examples that keep the class awake, entertained, and, crucially, help solidify complex concepts through relatable scenarios.
Superior Teaching Materials Beyond his engaging delivery, Mr. Quek's teaching notes are truly wonderful. From the moment you receive them, you know you are in exceptionally good hands. They are super detailed, meticulously organised, and follow a clear, logical structure. This level of precision and clarity in the notes is a game-changer, even for students who join as late as two months before the GCE examination. His structured approach ensures that even those with limited time can catch up effectively and build a strong foundation.
The Definitive Choice for POA Tuition If you are on the hunt for a trusted and proven solution for POA tuition, Ace Your POA should undoubtedly be your first and only choice. Based on my experience, I can confidently advise against wasting time on online tuition that often falls short, or private tutors who spend half the session chatting rather than teaching effectively. Ace Your POA is a centre that has been tried and tested over the years, consistently delivering outstanding results. It's not just a tuition centre; it's an investment in your academic success.

Edulight Learning Hub is a focused option for students taking N and O Level Principles of Accounts, with group tuition available both physically and online. For parents seeking Secondary 3 POA tuition, Edulight stands out for its strong emphasis on conceptual understanding. That is especially relevant in Sec 3, when students are often tempted to memorise formats without understanding how transactions flow through the accounts. Their tutor brings professional experience in public finance and audit, and uses that background to connect accounting ideas to daily life and business reality. This may suit teens who keep asking why a transaction is recorded in a certain way and do better when the logic is explained clearly. Physical classes are capped at six students, which can make a real difference if your child needs more chances to ask questions, check workings and correct misunderstandings before they snowball into bigger exam issues.
Why Parents Choose Edulight Learning Hub?
Edulight Learning Hub may appeal to parents whose teen is not responding well to rote learning. In POA, memorisation can look like progress for a short while, but it often falls apart when school questions become more application-based. Edulight’s concept-first approach may help students understand why entries happen, which tends to stay with them better than remembering a template alone. The tutor’s professional background can also make the subject feel more real and less like a list of disconnected rules. Parents may also appreciate the small physical class cap and the make-up options, which help maintain continuity when a busy Sec 3 schedule leads to missed lessons.
Glad I found amazing Tutor Felix. My cousin is good at math but he flung his POA. Parents worried, Sec 4 1st semester he failed miserably..came to my attention when his parents consulted me for help. I googled and reached out to 3 outlets and I instantly liked Felix with his decisive teaching methods, improvement structures and strategies. His style begins with individual focus on one to one teaching to engage on student & tutor understanding and listening then next is collaborative group work studies and camaraderie. I believe in that method too and he did achieve improvements on both understanding and listening. My cousin gradually improved and as a result he passed 60%…on mid sememster.. amazing! Felix also provided him extra mile tutoring outside tuitions if there were any confusions or questions he would reply promptly to assist thru WhatsApp any time. That personalised techniques help my cousin to gain his confidence back to raise good and important question and honesty well appreciated. His performance consistently excelled, every quarter period and finally the ‘N-level’ he accomplished victory Grade 3. We are so proud of him and his determination to succeed POA. Felix is one of the kind and he’s Awesome ! Thank you so much Mr Felix ❤️
My son failed his POA the whole of sec 3. I let him try Felix during 1 of his holiday camps and he said Felix was clear and easy to understand. My son continued weekly sessions and finally he passed his POA for the very 1st time. He says now he can understand what's going on in his school POA lessons. 🙂
I'm truly grateful for Mr. Felix's exceptional guidance in helping my daughter gain confidence in POA. Her understanding and performance have improved significately, and she now approaches exams with assurance and clarity. Felix's patient and effective teaching sytle has made a real difference in her academic journey. I highly recommend this tutor to any parent seeking reliable and impactful support for their child's learning.
I’m very grateful to Tutor Felix for his amazing guidance and support given to my son. My son used to struggle and dislike Principles of Accounts and even failed the subject multiple times, but under Tutor’s Felix”s patient and professional teaching, he managed to improve and even pass his Prelim with confidence.
Tutor Felix is an encouraging tutor who always motivates students to do their best and explains concepts clearly until they truly understand. My son gained not only better grades but also more interest and confidence in the subject. Tutor Felix will also provide me with his candid and prompt feedback on my son”s good or poor progress at regular intervals for my awareness.
Highly recommend Tutor Felix to any parent looking for a dedicated and effective tutor who genuinely cares about their students’ progress.
My daughter's grade improved tremendously after her tuition sessions with Felix since April.
Tutor Felix is very patient and my daughter benefited from his lessons. Just after a month of tuition, I can tell that my daughter has better understanding of POA and she becomes more confident.
Definitely recommend to any student who needs help in POA.

InstanTuition EduHub supports Primary 5 to 6 and Secondary students, with a clear presence in the East and a strong emphasis on personalised coaching in small classes. For this list, the key point is their Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 POA support for O Level and N Level students. Their POA classes are capped at five students, which is one of the smaller group sizes among the options here. That may matter if your teen feels overwhelmed by accounting jargon or tends to nod along in class without really understanding. InstanTuition also positions its lessons around tailoring teaching to each student’s learning style and pace, which can be helpful in Sec 3 when some students are still grasping the basics while others are already preparing for heavier application questions. A testimonial about a student improving from failing POA in Sec 3 to a Grade 2 at N Level gives some context for the kind of support families may be hoping to find.
Why Parents Choose InstanTuition EduHub?
Parents may like InstanTuition because the setup seems built for students who need more individual guidance without going fully one-to-one. A five-student cap for POA can make it easier for tutors to notice exactly where your teen is getting lost, whether that is theory, entries or financial statements. Their teaching also adapts to both faster and slower learners, which matters because Sec 3 POA classes in school often move on even when some students are still confused by the basics. Families in the East may find the location convenient, and the personalised materials may appeal if your child’s mistakes are specific rather than broad.
a private candidate here and many teachers were impatient with me before but ms kacey was able to accommodate to my learning speed! ms kacey was a very kind and patient teacher that helped me be able to have another chance again, she was attentive to every question i had to ask about POA and made me look forward to class as i enjoy the subject now 🙂 i scored F9 before but i feel quite confident i’ll be able to score well this time 🥳 highly recommend this tuition centre ‼️📑📖🙇🏻♀️📈💯
Best Tuition!! Have been here since 2021, If U dont understand a topic, The teachers are patient and understanding and find diff ways to tackle the problem. He even teaches pri and sec sch.SInce i joined, i managed to maintain a 90% in math, and decent scores for science. This year(2025) i managed to get top in the cohort for math(30/30)!!!This would not have been possibke without the help of Mr Cheok, Who explains the topics clearly.😁
Late to post this review. Purposely put a reminder to post. 😅 My son got his O-level results in Jan 2025. Got grade '1' for POA.
Sent him to InstanTuition for POA class since Sept 2023. This is not a 'branded' tuition centre. But I am very pleased with Ms Kacey and her team's dedication to teach the students. I think their lessons and class structure were effective for my son, Edryan. Of course, the student himself had to put in effort and willing to learn!
Appreciate that classes were in small groups and fees were reasonable. Ms Kacey was understanding if there was a need to reschedule lessons. Ms Kacey & team, pls continue to keep up the good work and sincere dedication in teaching the students and not charging crazy, exorbitant fees. Thank you.
I took Chemistry and Physics lessons and really enjoyed my tuition lessons in this tuition centre. It is very enriching and very helpful. The environment makes me very comfortable. Mr Cheok is very helpful and always explain the topics in a very detailed manner.
I am so grateful for my experience at Instantuition, where I took A Math and Chemistry classes. The learning environment was really fun and relaxed, which made it easy to stay motivated and focused. The atmosphere was always welcoming, and it never felt like a typical classroom; instead, it was a place where I could enjoy learning. The teacher was incredibly kind and respectful, always making sure we understood the material and never hesitating to help us out whenever we needed it. They really made learning enjoyable and were so patient in explaining even the most challenging topics. I highly recommend Instantuition to anyone who is struggling with their studies or just wants a more supportive and engaging way to learn. It’s such a great place to study, and I’m so glad I chose it!

One Tuition Place, established in 2011, offers affordable tuition across Primary, Secondary and A Level subjects, with Sec 3, Sec 4 and O Level Principles of Accounting included in its Secondary lineup. For parents considering Secondary 3 POA tuition, One Tuition Place may be worth exploring if you want a broader academic environment rather than a POA-only specialist. They emphasise quality teaching, free learning support for students who need extra help, and tutors who understand Cambridge O Level syllabus requirements well. For a Sec 3 teen who is only beginning to build their accounting foundation, that extra support can matter. Some students do not need a highly intensive programme yet, but they do need someone patient enough to explain concepts clearly and help them catch up before the subject becomes more demanding in Sec 4. Their Kovan-area location may also be convenient for North East families.
Why Parents Choose One Tuition Place?
Parents may consider One Tuition Place when they want a reasonably accessible and affordable Secondary tuition option with added support beyond class hours. The promise of free learning support can be especially meaningful in POA, where a teen may understand most of a chapter but still get stuck on one accounting treatment and lose confidence quite quickly. Their tutors’ familiarity with O Level requirements may also reassure parents who are already thinking ahead, even if the immediate goal is to steady Sec 3 learning first. If your child prefers a centre that balances exam awareness with general academic support, One Tuition Place may feel less intimidating than a highly specialised setup.
Mr Ong helped me to score A1 in science even when i was really bad at science at the time. He was very patient when teaching me and he explained until i understood the topics.
Mr Ong have help me improve from D7 in ta2 to B4 in prelims about 3months
I recently got back my olevel result and I got A2 and I really want to thank Mr Ong for helping me gain confidence in Amath since I was very weak but he believed in me and this motivated me to keep trying again. I really like the tuition environment cause it made me focus very well and the environment made me want to study. Thankyou Mr Ong for helping me and believing in me , I appreciate you lots
Mrs. Ong has been teaching my daughter from Primary 2 until now. At the beginning, my daughter struggled with basic addition and subtraction, and I was very worried for her. I enrolled her in two Maths tuition classes, but after a few months, she requested to stop the other class because she felt she could manage with only Mrs. Ong’s lessons.
My daughter truly loves learning from Mrs. Ong. She always says that Mrs. Ong is very helpful, and her teaching methods make it easier to understand mathematical concepts and logical thinking. This year, my daughter participated in the International Math Olympiad and achieved the Elitist award without doing any special preparation—she relied purely on the knowledge gained from her lessons.
For her Primary 3 weighted assessment and year-end exam, she scored the highest in Math's with a mark of 91 compared to her other subjects. I highly recommend Mrs. Ong — she has a unique teaching approach and is extremely patient.
My son has been with the center for the past 2 years and he really enjoyed the Science and Math lessons. Angie has been very patient and understanding. Timings were flexible too! Will definitely recommend to friends.
I feel relaxed when I am with the teachers and I’m not too pressured when I comes to studying for exams. My grades have improved since last year and I understand more topics when my teacher goes through the papers she gives me.

Their broader approach includes useful tips and strategies to make learning more efficient and productive.
Teaching examples on their site suggest a focus on breaking down concepts and problem-solving techniques rather than leaving students to figure out methods alone.

How to Choose the Best Secondary 3 POA Tuition for Your Child?
The best Secondary 3 POA tuition is not always the most well-known or the most specialised option. What usually matters more is whether the support matches how your teen learns and where they are currently struggling. As you compare Secondary 3 tuition centres, it helps to keep a few practical points in mind.
Choose a teaching approach that explains accounting logic clearly, especially if your teen is memorising formats without understanding debit, credit and double-entry.
Look at class size and lesson format, because some teens do much better in one-to-one tuition or very small POA groups where they can ask questions more freely.
Check the tutor or teaching team’s POA experience, particularly for Sec 3 students who are still building foundations rather than doing final exam drilling only.
Think about practical fit, including travel time, online availability and whether your teen can keep up with the schedule without burning out.
Read reviews with balance, and use them to spot patterns in teaching clarity, responsiveness and student support rather than focusing only on dramatic grade stories.
Set a budget that is realistic for your family, while weighing whether the lessons provide enough individual attention to justify the cost.
A good secondary POA tuition centre should reduce confusion, not add more pressure. Once you find an option that suits your teen’s learning style and routine, consistency usually matters more than constantly switching in search of a perfect answer.
