Electrical point on the floor is hazardous. I cut my toe as a result of hitting on the electrical point And said it’s not her who place it’s there. Maybe she is part time teacher so she don’t really care attitude. Not suitable for big group of more than 10. Quite disorganized . Lady teaching the porcelain plate class has very disgruntled and not happy face all the time

Had such a fun experience here with my 5-year-old son 🤎
The studio is huge, relaxing, and very kid-friendly. The teachers were patient and supportive throughout the whole session, and my son stayed focused and happy for almost 2 hours — which honestly surprised me 😆

We made a vase, a little lion, and a Christmas tree. Can’t wait to see the final pieces after firing. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking for a creative and calming activity in Singapore.

I find the session rather therapeutic and was fortunate to be the only participant on that day. The instructor did not rush me and the time to complete the item was just right. I am happy with my completed item but I am not sure how the final item will turn out. It was a great 3hr well-spent.

The repetitive motion of creating the vertical ridges was meditative even though it was the toughest part. The edges of the item was propped up with bubble wrap logs to make sure it kept in place when the item dries.

Yuki was rather attentive, she noticed that I kept drying my hands on a towel and she passed me a new one. I am rather sensitive to touch. When I told her that it was rather hot, she shared that the air-conditioning would take some time and it would be cooler in the late afternoon and she proceeded to switch in the table fan.

The intricate teddy bear and the heart in the middle of the plate added a sweet, nostalgic touch and definitely had the vintage charm I was looking for. We could not find the teddy bear mould initially and Yuki went to ask for help to find it.

The end product with its white glaze gave the plate a classic vintage feel and the twisted rope border gave it a beautiful finished frame. There was a real sense of accomplishment that the piece survived the kiln perfectly. The details of the bears and the heart came out so perfect that they looked as though they were “preserved” in the ceramic.

We had a lot of fun trying out the two-hour wheel-throwing session with our instructors. They were very helpful and engaging throughout, making it a beginner-friendly experience. After the session, they will deliver the clay pieces we made to our home, which takes at least four weeks.

This was a truly memorable and enjoyable bonding experience with my two teenage daughters, making two pieces of pottery with 2 hours of wheel-throwing.

Phoebe was a great instructor, going through the steps with us, and lending a helping hand when we needed it.

Pleased with our pieces and the relaxed atmosphere as well as the lovely spacious high-ceiling environment. Most convenient and centralised location for pottery - they have their own kiln too! Appreciate that the package includes glazing with a colour of our choice.

Quaint backyard pottery studio (with fans and air con). Went here for 2 x 6 lessons of wheel throwing lessons so far. Dillon was my instructor, he was very knowledgeable and calm while teaching. Would recommend their beginner set of 6 lessons for anyone who is new to pottery and wants to learn hands-on skills from wedging to throwing to trimming and glazing.

I just completed a 6-week beginner/intermediate pottery class with Dylan and highly recommend it! He’s a patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging instructor who creates a relaxed, fun learning environment. The class was a great balance of demos, hands-on time, and personalized feedback. I came in with limited experience and left feeling much more confident in my skills—and with several pieces I’m proud of. Whether you're new to pottery or looking to grow, this class is a fantastic choice ❤️

Really enjoyed my time at 3Arts pottery studio. The teachers are patient and helpful without “hovering” too much, which I appreciate — they let you do your own thing but are always around when you need guidance or troubleshooting.

The lesson syllabus is thoughtfully planned and intentional, covering different techniques in a way that actually makes learning feel progressive and manageable.

Overall, it’s a comfortable space to experiment at your own pace while still learning effectively. Considering the guidance, equipment, and structured syllabus, you really get good value for what you pay. Whether you’re starting out or looking to improve your skills, it’s a place where you can grow without feeling rushed.
When I first became interested in pottery, I did a lot of research to find the best place to learn, somewhere convenient to get to as well. That’s when I found 3arts, which luckily has a direct bus from my home. 😁
At first, I was a bit worried about communication since I’m Thai and my English isn’t perfect. But after joining the class with Perlyn, all my worries disappeared. She was so kind and patient with me, and I really enjoyed every session. I also made many new friends along the way.
I chose to learn handbuilding, and while my pieces may not look perfectly round or polished like wheel-thrown ones, they have a cute, natural charm that I love. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to practice mindfulness and patience.
If you’re thinking about learning pottery, I highly recommend starting with handbuilding and then moving on to wheel throwing later. Once you complete the classes, you can easily continue it as a relaxing hobby or even turn it into a profession!

I visited a pottery painting studio for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! The staff was super friendly and patient. She guided us on how to get our drawings to look better, assisted in colour mixing to get a closer colour to our reference picture and assured us that we can look for her shall we need any assistance. Although the end product wasn’t perfect because our drawing isn’t perfect, but her help and patience have definitely help us. We almost didn’t finish but the studio was not full at the point of time so she kindly extended our time a little. If it’s your first, I’ll recommend if you search for ur design or brainstorm beforehand. The studio fee is $28 for 1.5h including all the material you need (paint/brush/etc), it also ensures your pottery is food-safe, and the additional cost depends on the type of pottery u choose. what we got was the small plate ($18) and big plate ($28). There’s also a 10% off for students (do bring your student pass)! Do come if it’s ur first in pottery painting, definitely a good place to start.

Honestly would give this place a 6-star if I could.

Brought my mum, grandparents and grandaunt (elderlies aged between 80-86) thinking it would be an interesting experience for them while they visit Singapore. Not artsy people but everything went so smoothly because Wilshia always checked in on us, and even helped us draw the icons/characters that my grandparents wanted, with extra touch-ups on her own - thank you!

Place is also wheelchair-friendly, very cozy ambience and just a chill place for young, old, family, and even non-artsy folks.

We opted for mugs and a tray, all glazed so nicely and the colours turned out more vibrant/brighter than I expected. Super happy with the experience and final products, my folks are bringing them back home as memories from Singapore too.

Would highly recommend this place really! Thank you Wilshia for the kind and encouraging words while we were there 🙂

We booked GDMC & Atelier GDMC for a ceramic workshop private event for our son’s 6-year-old birthday party. Overall, the studio is very spacious, spotting a clean and modern design, with efficient layout and intelligent use of space, to accommodate many workstations for ceramic works. The studio also has a standalone enclosed area for running private events, where our birthday party was held. The event area is extremely spacious for our 22 pax event with separate dedicated areas for the ceramic workshop, cake cutting, and our food & beverage counter. Privacy and safety were maintained throughout the event with no disruptions to our program. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we were impressed by the ceramic artist, Ms Hazel, for her ability to engage the 5-6 years old children, guiding them to build up their delightful ceramic crab sculptures. All in all, we enjoyed the ceramic workshop very much, it was pleasant and all aspects of the birthday party program was handled in a thoughtful manner on the part of the studio.

This is marvelous and magical place for pottery shopping, they have absolutely everything what you can imagine and more from now my favorite place in Singapore,
Stumbled upon this hidden gem and left genuinely delighted. The place was filled with fascinating artifacts and curiosities that immediately gave it character and soul.

Everything about it felt wonderfully old-school — almost kampong-like in spirit — with a rustic charm that is becoming increasingly rare to find. The atmosphere was warm, nostalgic, and deeply inviting.

They also displayed many beautiful artworks and pieces that looked like ancient artifacts one might expect to find in traditional Chinese museums, adding to the sense of history and wonder throughout the space.

A small streamlined pond completed the entire kampong ambience perfectly, making the environment feel peaceful and quietly enchanting.

The staff also shared that the dragon kiln will be fired this coming Saturday, 30th May — which sounds like it would be an amazing experience to witness.

How to Choose the Best Pottery and Clay Class for Your Child

  • Age fit: Check whether the class suits your child’s age, attention span, and motor skills. Some workshops work well for younger children who need simple clay play or parent help, while others suit older kids ready for detailed handbuilding or wheel work.
  • Beginner-friendliness: If your child is new to pottery, prioritise studios that welcome first-timers and explain how they guide learners. A gentle introduction builds confidence.
  • Class format: Consider handbuilding, pottery painting, wheel throwing, or a mix. Handbuilding is often the most accessible starting point, while painting can appeal to children who prefer decorating.
  • Teaching style: Decide whether your child prefers step-by-step instruction or a freer, expressive approach. Match the studio’s teaching style to your child’s personality.
  • Instructor experience: Look for instructors with experience working with children as well as pottery. Teachers who understand young learners make sessions calmer and safer.
  • Class size: Smaller groups generally mean more hands-on support, which is important for beginners or younger children.
  • Creative freedom: Think about whether the class emphasises technique or allows children to personalise their work with colours and patterns.
  • Project type: Consider what your child will make. Functional items like bowls and mugs can be very rewarding, while sculptural projects suit kids who enjoy experimenting.
  • Materials and firing: Confirm what the fee includes, such as clay, tools, glazing, firing, or painting materials, so there are no unexpected costs.
  • Collection timeline: Ask how long firing and collection take, especially if your child wants to bring their work home quickly.
  • Parent participation: Decide if you want parent-child sessions or independent classes for your child, depending on their confidence and your bonding goals.
  • Studio environment: A tidy, welcoming studio helps children relax. Practical details like seating and layout can make a big difference.
  • Safety and supervision: Ensure classes have good supervision, especially when tools or wheels are involved.
  • Progression options: If your child might continue, look for studios offering follow-up levels or multi-session courses to build skills.
  • Scheduling convenience: Check travel time and class times so the studio fits your family routine.
  • Price clarity: Compare rates alongside session length and inclusions. The cheapest option may not be the best value if essentials cost extra.
  • Child’s temperament: Pick a class that matches your child’s comfort level. Some children thrive on messy, hands-on work while others prefer calm painting or a slower introduction to clay.

I’m very grateful to MindFlex, especially Alyssa and her team, for their patience and dedication in helping to source a suitable tutor for my son.

This is the 2nd time I look for them to source a tutor. This time round I had more specific requirements, including the tutor’s age group, gender and most importantly, someone who is patient and able to communicate well with students who are weaker in Chinese. Alyssa and the team were understanding, responsive and professional throughout the entire process.

They took the effort to carefully match a tutor who suits my son’s learning needs and personality. I truly appreciate their commitment and excellent service. Highly recommended for parents looking for reliable and attentive tuition support!
