After drawing back in Saigon a week earlier the desire to put even low speed ordinance down range kicked in. Plus my Son loves all things Marvel, including Hawkeye (?)...

One hour session fully coached. Definite value for the money, excellent father / son day and could see myself joining. Facility and equipment are top spec. Try not to smirk when hitting a Bullseye.

Dawn to dusk, rain or shine, a wonderful place to try out a new sport -Archery, in a recreational or competitive way.

The instructors on duty are always encouraging and ready to help. Kids learn skills more than shooting arrows. We need more places/activities like this to bring children/teens outdoor in SG.

One of the best ranges offering flexibility, convenience and a sheltered 70m range. Perfect for working adults and people on shift work who cannot commit to predefined timings and schedules. They still have Masterclasses for those looking for a more structured learning experience. All in all, it’s a great place for all skill levels and ages.

Booking is easy and convenient and a wide range of range passes and packages are available depending on your commitment. Love the private coaching sessions where for that whole hour, coach will be 100% training you and you alone. Helped me a lot to elevate my game to new heights.

If we do get tired of the traffic and weather, we can still pop by Chai Chee range for an awesome Air Conditioned shooting experience 😄

Salt & Light Archery (West Coast) – A Gem of a Range and a Vital Community Asset

Archery is an exceptional sport — unique in its inclusivity and accessibility. Almost anyone can learn to shoot an arrow, but that opportunity only exists when communities have access to safe, well-run ranges. Salt & Light Archery’s West Coast range is precisely that: a crucial facility serving the western, Clementi, and south-central areas, and beyond.

What stands out immediately is the environment. At a time when youth face countless digital distractions, SLA West Coast provides a wonderfully healthy and constructive alternative. It’s a space where young people can discover their talents, learn discipline and focus, and grow in confidence. Their Junior Youth Programme (JYP) is one of the strongest examples of this. This structured foundation has helped nurture many of Singapore’s current and emerging National Youth Team archers, several of whom developed their early skills right here at West Coast.

The team at SLA West Coast is consistently outstanding. Warm, attentive, and deeply committed, they cater to all ages and all stages: beginners, casual/social archers, and competitive athletes pursuing excellence. The coaching staff is competent and genuinely invested in every archer’s growth. Adults and seniors also benefit enormously from having a facility like this nearby — a place where they can remain active, engaged, and connected to a diverse community of both male and female archers.

The location itself is a significant advantage. SLA West Coast operates without disturbing residential or business areas. Yet, it brings a steady stream of people to the neighbourhood, supporting nearby businesses and encouraging healthy activity around West Coast Park and lower Clementi. The sheltered layout and generous operating hours are especially important; archers can train even in unfavourable weather or during events that would typically disrupt practice at more exposed outdoor ranges.

And for serious archers — this is one of only a few places in Singapore with extensive access to full 70-metre lanes, the official Olympic distance. For aspiring and current competitive archers, having consistent access to this distance is essential.

Whether you’re looking for a fun 1-hour introductory shoot, planning a school or company outing, seeking a wholesome activity for youth, or hoping to build a long-term archery journey of your own, Salt & Light Archery at West Coast is a must-visit venue. It’s more than a range — it’s a positive, inclusive, and inspiring community hub.

Their tagline is “More than just shooting arrows.”
In all the best ways, I absolutely agree.

Highly recommended. 🏹

Had a private event for kids held here during the school holidays.

The staff there were very welcoming. The coach was patient teaching the ways of archery. He even planned out 3 different archery activities to allow the kids hone their archery skills further.

Facility was sheltered & there was water cooler to rehydrate as well.

Thank you for the well-planned activity & kudos to the staff & coach for facilitating the event for us. 👍🏼

Appropriate place for archery, I would compliment. Outdoor mode, sense of openness, natural setting in a way. Walking up to collect 'shot arrows' is nice for a short walk; 'unwind the mind' in open space.

Premise is good for participants, guests/visitors to watch.

Friendly, helpful staff in guiding and servicing all. Keep up. Cheers.

Excellent. The courses were charged reasonably and were coached well. They even distribute bows and custom make them to ensure that the bow is the right fit for you. By the way, at TheGrimblaze, I do not think their service was rude to you. I believe that they were trying to explain to you that you had to take some measurements to get a bow that was a right fit and you misunderstood them. It is not their fault.

How to Choose the Best Archery Class for Your Child

  • Coach qualifications: Check for relevant coaching certification or competition experience so your child learns proper technique from the start.
  • Beginner suitability: Make sure the class is designed for beginners if your child is new to archery, with a gentle first lesson and clear safety routines.
  • Safety standards: Ask about supervision, range rules, equipment handling and how instructors manage younger children during lessons.
  • Age fit: Confirm the programme matches your child’s age, maturity and physical readiness, especially for building focus and body control.
  • Teaching style: Some children thrive with structured training, while others do better in a relaxed, encouraging class. Pick a style that suits your child’s personality.
  • Class size: Smaller groups let instructors give individual attention to posture and technique correction.
  • Progression pathway: If your child wants to continue, look for centres that offer clear levels, follow-up classes and competition exposure.
  • Equipment and facilities: Check that the range and equipment are well maintained and appropriate for children.
  • Indoor or outdoor setting: Decide whether an indoor range or an outdoor field is more comfortable for your child.
  • Focus beyond technique: Look for programmes that also help build patience, confidence and self-control.
  • Competition goals: If your child aims to compete, choose a programme that supports progression and provides workshops or competitions.
  • Schedule and travel: Ensure lesson times and travel distance are manageable for regular attendance.
  • Trial options: Try a single lesson first to see if your child enjoys archery before committing.
  • Price clarity: Ask for detailed fee information, including any extra costs for equipment, progression or memberships.
  • Overall fit: The best class is the one that makes your child feel safe, engaged and keen to continue.

I’m very grateful to MindFlex, especially Alyssa and her team, for their patience and dedication in helping to source a suitable tutor for my son.

This is the 2nd time I look for them to source a tutor. This time round I had more specific requirements, including the tutor’s age group, gender and most importantly, someone who is patient and able to communicate well with students who are weaker in Chinese. Alyssa and the team were understanding, responsive and professional throughout the entire process.

They took the effort to carefully match a tutor who suits my son’s learning needs and personality. I truly appreciate their commitment and excellent service. Highly recommended for parents looking for reliable and attentive tuition support!

I’m very happy with the tutoring service arranged by Alyssa and her team. Both tutors (Xinbo and Ban Cheng) have been great and my child really enjoys the lessons with them. We can already see some improvement, which is very encouraging.

Thank you for being so responsive and helpful throughout the arrangement process. Really appreciate the support and would definitely recommend them to other parents looking for reliable tutors.

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.

Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tutor who genuinely cares and delivers excellent results

Friendly, pleasant, swift, helpful and most importantly not pushy
