The ceiling was indeed low and made it more difficult to volley, but as a beginner I took it as an additional motivation to learn how to direct the ball properly.
The program was thoughtfully paced, which meant everyone, regardless of skill level, felt comfortable and engaged throughout. Our instructor Adrian was a standout: patient, articulate, and clearly passionate about the game. He had a great way of breaking down the fundamentals without making anyone feel out of their depth.
The venue itself added a lovely touch - a charming pastel pink aesthetic with tables and chairs arranged around the court, giving guests a comfortable space to relax, cheer on their colleagues, and recharge between rounds.

After few classes, you already can start playing the game. We learned how is the rules, scoring, differences between international scoring, how to do forehand, backhand, service, volley, dinks.
The class always starts with warm-up, and closed with cool down, which is important to me. Really recommend place if you want to improve your game for beginners.

The lessons format here at Straits are well planned and well paced. Coach Terence, Dominic, Aidil and Jamus are really good at what they do and really patient and encouraging. The courts are new and wonderful to play on.
I really recommend their group classes if you are looking for coaching to improve your pickleball. Highly recommend the Open Play organised by Straits for a friendly bunch of people to practise and with as well.
Did Novice Group Class here and it is highly recommended. The class structure is good and you have a fair amount of 1-on-1 time with the coaches. They typically focus on one skill for the day and teach you drills you can do to hone that particular skill. Following that, you likely will have an adapted skinnys game to make drilling less boring and this is probably my favourite part of the class because you get to play but also practice the shot at the same time.
The coaches (mine were Terence & Dom) here are awesome as they are able to accurately point out bad habits and areas of improvement and guide you with easy to understand instructions.

I especially like how the coaches are able to pick out areas that we need improvement on and give very constructive feedback to help us improve! There are 2 outdoor courts, but what really sets this place apart is the shelter. It does a great job blocking both rain and the harsh sun, so you can play comfortably regardless of the weather, which is a huge plus in Singapore’s climate. You can refer to the photo for a better view of the court setup. If you’re looking to pull off ATPs or an Erne, this is the court to do it 🎾🔥
Fewer interruptions from stray balls thanks to the well-designed and adequately fenced courts. The courts are well maintained, and the overall setup feels thoughtfully designed for players who just want a solid, uninterrupted game. Location wise, it’s also very convenient if you’re based in or around the city.
🅿️ No on site parking available. Nearest parking is at 123 McNair Road, S320123 (HDB open air lots). From there, it is about a 5 minute walk via the overhead bridge to Pixel Pickle.

One of the standout features is the colour scheme of the court. The contrasting colours between the playing zones and boundary lines are vibrant and easy to distinguish, making it simple to track the ball and stay within the lines during fast-paced rallies. In addition, the surrounding area is clean and organized, with no litter or unnecessary clutter. This attention to cleanliness makes the court inviting for players and spectators alike. Overall, the combination of excellent upkeep, clear and attractive colours, and a clean environment makes this pickleball court a fantastic place to play.
Courts are great. Love the color, looks like watermelon.
However, the courts are unmanned, so if your ball happens to go across to the adjacent courts, you can't get it back unless you leopard crawl underneath the net divider (which is tensioned so there's a limit to how high you can lift it up to).
The balls can roll over to the other side even at the corners of the court too, not just overhead.
Also, outside the courts, right beside Straits Pickle courts, there is a huge hazard — a ditch right at the fence area. Now with tables and chairs set up, it's even more likely that someone will eventually accidentally step into that ditch and injure themselves.
While I'm unsure which company should take responsibility to try to cover / warn / prevent, the hazard is still present regardless. Be careful. I've seen someone fall in once already and thankfully he did not break anything but only suffered a serious abrasion.
No water cooler in the area overall as well...
