I am very happy with our experience at this language school. Both the group classes and the individual lessons have been excellent. Mr. Nicholas makes every session engaging and interactive. He always prepares interesting activities for my child and sends extra materials to help practice at home. We’ve seen great progress and would highly recommend the school!

Mucha gracias. I like to learn through songs and teacher Nicolas found so many interesting songs. When my professional class requires a self introduction by giving my favourite song, I gave one Spanish song and I was the special one. =)

I’ve been studying Spanish at SpanishStudio for about a year now, and it’s been such a rewarding experience. I take intermediate group classes with Profe Nicolás, who is a fantastic teacher with great energy and a brilliant sense of humor. His lessons strike the perfect balance between the curriculum textbook, practical exercises, and personal presentations, so every class feels fresh and engaging.

Each session runs for two hours and time always flies by. The homework is varied and fun, which helps reinforce what we’ve learnt. My fellow students are a great mix of people, and the dynamic really adds to the positive, welcoming vibe of the group.

Overall, it’s been a great way to improve my Spanish skills while actually enjoying the process. Highly recommend!

Continuing my Spanish learning journey with Spanish Language School (SLS), an affiliate of Italian Language School for which I am already a student is an easy and natural choice. Thanks again to the always efficient and helpful coordinators of the school who put me, a newbie to Spanish at ease very quickly and placed me into a group class of my level. I was very fortunate to have met my Spanish teacher Norma who hails from Mexico; very kind, patient and taught me a Spanish accent that is easier to articulate. Not so often you will be lucky to find a cohesive and motivated group of classmates, but I was endowed again with this fortune to have met this wonderful group of mine who is always charged and each one wanting to progress in their learning and mastering of this romance language. It has certainly been for me a great pleasure learning Spanish with SLS.

I took a Japanese language class with Lingo after taking it with another school. The consultant ask me patiently if I knew any Japanese alphabets and when I said that I don't know, he recommended me to take a Beginner class first to first learn Hira and Kata before jumping into Elementary class. I did that and it is completely changed my perspective on learning Japanese. The other school ask us to do self revision to pick up the pace. While Lingo guide me through the intracity of Japanese alphabets system. I recommend anyone to go for Lingo if your purpose is to learn Japanese the correctly and not the casual way.

How to Choose the Best Spanish Lessons for Your Child

  • Teacher qualifications: Check whether teachers have recognised language-teaching credentials and experience working with children in your child’s age group.
  • Language fluency: Consider whether native or highly fluent teachers can model clear pronunciation, natural vocabulary and culturally appropriate everyday expressions.
  • Age suitability: Choose activities, materials and lesson lengths designed for your child’s developmental stage rather than an adult curriculum with minor adjustments.
  • Current ability: Confirm that placement considers prior exposure, speaking confidence and literacy, especially when a child already studies Spanish at school.
  • Learning purpose: Identify whether your child needs conversational confidence, cultural exposure, school support, bilingual development or preparation for a formal examination.
  • Course structure: Look for a clear sequence that develops listening, speaking, reading and writing without introducing grammar as isolated memorisation.
  • Class size: Ask how many learners attend each class and whether quieter children receive sufficient opportunities to speak and ask questions.
  • Teaching approach: Consider whether songs, stories, games, role-play and practical conversations are balanced with structured vocabulary, grammar and literacy work.
  • Speaking practice: Check how much Spanish each child uses during lessons, since active participation helps transform recognition into confident communication.
  • Progress feedback: Ask how teachers assess development and whether parents receive useful updates, reports or recommendations for continued practice.
  • Exam alignment: For school-age candidates, confirm that the curriculum matches the relevant DELE, IGCSE, IB or school assessment requirements.
  • Learning format: Compare in-person, online, private and group lessons according to your child’s concentration, confidence and preferred social environment.
  • Schedule flexibility: Review lesson timings, travel requirements, rescheduling terms and online alternatives before committing to a longer package.
  • Trial options: A trial lesson can show how your child responds to the teacher, class pace, materials and level of interaction.
  • Total costs: Compare tuition fees alongside registration charges, textbooks, digital materials, trial costs and any transport or cancellation fees.
  • Personal fit: Select an environment that suits your child’s personality and encourages sustained curiosity, consistent practice and comfortable participation.

Looking for a Home Tutor Instead?

A home tutor can be a useful alternative for children who need individual support with Spanish. One-to-one lessons allow the tutor to work at a child’s pace, address particular gaps and fit sessions around family schedules. Parents can also choose a tutor whose experience and teaching style suit their child’s learning needs.

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.

Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tutor who genuinely cares and delivers excellent results

Friendly, pleasant, swift, helpful and most importantly not pushy
