Introduction

Singapore’s warm climate makes water activities for kids a popular option for active weekends, family outings and school-holiday plans. Children can enjoy free splash playgrounds, water theme parks, guided kayaking, paddleboarding, wakeboarding and educational water exhibits. The right activity depends on a child’s age, swimming ability, confidence and interests, as well as the level of adult supervision needed. Parents should also check operating schedules, weather policies, clothing requirements and attraction restrictions before travelling. This guide covers 10 water activity centres in Singapore, with overviews, Google reviews, locations, prices and contact details to help families choose a suitable option.

Brought 4 nephews and nieces over to play. They love it. Only downside for parents is ...they have children open shower area. That means the children showers area is shared with many others and incase if the parents get wets and wanna wash up, sorry parents there's no shower room inside the toilets. Only changing room. But the play area. It's fun, the kids will definitely love it.

The awesomeness of this playground is hard to describe! Lots of amazing water activities for different age, good amount of shade, rest area with roof and fans, toilets/changing rooms, even kids cafe! My kid had a blast and wouldn’t want to leave after several hours- it’s truly awesome

Great kid friendly water play area at the Children’s Garden in Gardens by the Bay. Features splash buckets, fountains and a gentler toddler zone. Free and well designed.
Best to go weekday mornings or late afternoon to avoid heat and crowds. Weekends get busy.
Note that adults must accompany kids, no footwear in water area, and it may close during bad weather.
Easy, fun and well maintained, just time your visit properly.

🤹This is an amazing place at Gardens by the Bay for kids to spent an enjoyable afternoon.
🤼It's absolutely free to come in to enjoy the facilities. Only catch, is that you need to enter with kid in tow.
🏊The Children's Garden centerpiece Water Play Area is the most popular, attracting the most kids and parent.
💦Water and Play can never go wrong!
☔Shower and changing facilities are available. Bring your own towel.
🛝Next to the Water Play Area is the Toddler's Playground catering to toddlers.
🪜There are other dry areas for older kids to expanse their energy as well.
🥪🥤The Children's Garden Cafe is conveniently located inside the Garden, should you and kid need to recharge.
🤽The Far East Organization Children’s Garden is certainly a great place for kids of all ages to have a great time.
👯Come!, bring your kids here to have a memorable bonding time together.
👣It's located behind Cloud Forest

Great place to have water play for the kids. The only downside is that if you put your strollers along there, be careful of crows snatching your food.

Newly renovated! Lots of thought behind the design. There is an area for young toddlers with lower slides and this area is also fully sheltered from the sun. Another area with two higher slides for older kids that is fully exposed to the sun. My kids 3 and 5 had a lot of fun. We closely supervise them (join them in the play) as there are some older kids who are wilder and parents don’t supervise the older kids. It is our own responsibility to look after our own kids!

I like the warm water showers in the adult shower area. Water pressure in the female adult shower can be improved so we can shower faster! There is also water refill and even hair dryer (although only 1 you have to queue to use it). In general, we like it alot!

Our favourite water play so far (:

The water playground was new and safe enough for all ages. My 15-month-old kid had a really good time. However, I believe parents should supervise their kids from time to time to reduce their risk of getting hurt.

I think the washroom should have some benches so it would be easier for parents to change their kids (especially for younger children). It has warm shower point but the shower tap seems loose and used.

They have a calm room; I think it can be made shoes free and more frequent cleaning.

We had a wonderful time today during our kayaking ride! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and gave us great advice about the island tour. The sea sports centre had friendly staff and well-maintained equipment. There are lockers you can rent to use for $5 to keep your belongings safe.

Eagle's Bay at Lazarus Island is sheltered from strong waves and currents, and would be a suitable place for first-timers to try out the sea sports they have available.

Worth a try if you intend to spend a couple of hours on Lazarus Island or are staying overnight at the accommodation nearby!

My recent kayaking experience at Lazarus Sea Sports Centre was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about water sports.

The kayaking equipment was in excellent condition - clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. The safety briefing was thorough without being overwhelming, which helped me feel confident before hitting the water.

What really made the experience special was the stunning cove it is located at. The water was crystal clear, and at one point, I even spotted some marine life below!

The instructors were knowledgeable about the local area and offered helpful paddling techniques throughout the session. They struck the perfect balance between ensuring safety and allowing freedom to explore at my own pace.

Whether you're new to kayaking or an experienced paddler, I highly recommend Lazarus Sea Sports Centre for an unforgettable day on the water.

Took a short ferry trip to SJI/Lazarus and took a slow walk before reaching Eagles bay. So many fascinating wildlife to spot. Lazarus sea sports staffs were very friendly and knowledgeable. Patiently explained some basic moves on the SUP. Manage to spot a SUPyoga class going on as well. What a nice and chill place. Definitely coming back. The beach is the best!

It was a short get away from the hustle and bustle of a city during Hari Raya and on a gloomy day but our attitude isn't.

We decided to get all you can ride for 2 hours and boy, it never disappoint. The staff are gracious and treated us very well. Looking after us (knowing that the weather is not very cooperative that day) like a parent that we might wander very far LOL. It was a very sincere gesture from them.

And it was all our first time to be on a mega paddle board, we enjoyed, and had a blast. The amount we paid is all worth it.

Have fun while you can. Release your inner child whenever there's a chance, coz if not now, when?

Go, try and give all yourself a chance to learn how to paddle 🙂

Spent an absolutely amazing day at this water park— it’s the perfect mix of thrill and relaxation! The slides were the highlight, with a great variety from super fast, heart-racing drops to fun, twisty rides that the whole family can enjoy. Every ride felt safe, well-maintained, and incredibly exciting.

What I loved most was how clean and organized everything was. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even better. There were plenty of spots to relax too, from lazy rivers to chill lounge areas, so you can easily balance adventure with downtime.

It’s definitely a must-visit for families and friends. Whether you’re chasing adrenaline or just want to cool off and unwind, this place has it all. Can’t wait to come back again! 🤩

It was really fun with a wide variety of rides and the staff was also polite and professional. However, I gave this a 3-star review for a reason. The floor is just way too hot especially with Singapore's already scorching hot weather. Yes, it's a waterpark but walking from one ride to another, is causes burns for your feet. I suggest that the whole waterpark is sheltered, it that's possible

Visited Wild Wild Wet recently and had a really fun day overall. The park has a good mix of rides — from relaxing lazy river to more thrilling slides like the Torpedo and Vortex, so it’s enjoyable for both kids and adults.

The place is well-maintained and staff are helpful. Safety measures are clearly in place which makes it comfortable to try the rides. Wave pool is a highlight and great for families.

However, during peak hours the queues can get quite long, especially for the popular rides. Also, food inside is a bit expensive for the portion size.

Overall, a great spot for a day out in Singapore, especially with family or friends. Would recommend going early to avoid long waiting times.

One of Sentosa’s highlights- the adventure cove waterpark, there are some new renovations and now lazy river can go for a longger time! Weekend with the DJ music really hype up the wave pool, carry a float and swim to the front of it to feel the washing machine tossing you around! The slides are really fast too! There is a snorkeling tank with beautiful underwater marine life, we found ourselves getting lost underwater.

Best one is rocket, the rest common slide, around 6 or 7 slides. The uniqueness is there are snorkel place and the moving river will make you can see real fish on the tank, but I dont think the place well maintain for the reef and fish tank.

There are also free ice cream to get, to cooling in the middle of hot weather.

Bad thing is, if there are thunder n lighting they stop all the activities.

On my visit they close everything around 4 pm, so there will be nothing to play.

If you love water parks - this one won’t disappoint!

We visited on a Monday, at 10am when the gates open.

$SGD15 for a small locker to put our phones and sunnies.

We put our towels (from the hotel) and shoes in a storage hole in the park itself (see pic).

We went straight to the Rip Tide Rocket but it wasn’t working so went to other rides and returned later. We ended up waiting maybe a just over an hour for this ride mostly because there were so many ‘fast pass’ people jumping in front of us. Next time I would watch that line a little more closely..

Totally worth the wait though - that ride is ridiculously fun!

Also loved the snorkelling with the fish. A must do.

And the surprise of the park was the adventure pools near the aquarium where you can jump off the rock, walk a plank and ropes across the pool. The pools are so clear and a lovely temperature. Unfortunately you are only allowed to jump in and get out straight away. Heaps of fun though.

We spent 4 hours here. That was enough. We are v fair skinned so need to be careful of being in the sun for too long. Appreciated the umbrellas in the queues!

Location & Availability

The waterpark is at 14 Sentosa Gateway, with weather-dependent outdoor attractions.

Price Range

Cabana rentals cost $88 to $128 for a half-day and $136 to $186 for a full day. Each cabana requires separate waterpark admission and includes towels and food-and-beverage vouchers according to the selected location.

Here’s something I’ve been waiting for 15 years—finally did it! 😂

Tried wakeboarding at SWP, the one and only spot in Singapore 🇸🇬 Honestly, I feel so lucky the boss set this up, otherwise there’s really nowhere else to experience this here.

Big shoutout to the amazing team—Princess, Yanh, Qin, and Nikita. They were super friendly and responsive on WhatsApp, which made everything smooth and easy from the start.

Special thanks to Mr. Yanh, the instructor, who guided me so patiently and professionally for my first time. He made what felt intimidating at first turn into such a fun and memorable experience. 🙌

If you’ve ever wanted to try wakeboarding in Singapore, this is definitely the place to go. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking for something different to do, you’ll be in really good hands.

Many years of waiting, and it was 100% worth it! 💯🔥

Had an amazing father-and-son adventure with Fever Kayak Adventures. It was such a memorable experience spending quality time together out on the water, away from the usual routine.

The guides were friendly, patient, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip. The kayaking was fun, the scenery was beautiful, and it was a great opportunity to bond while enjoying the outdoors. Seeing my son enjoy every moment of the adventure made the experience even more special.

First time experience doing Kayak night fishing! (1st May) Some more it’s in Singapore 😆. Towards the pricy side but it’s worth every single cents.
We opt for the additional add on for Catch and Cook. Highly recommend to do that as they will really prepare the food at their camp site, loved the vibe and the simple pace of time after a long week work under the tent and enjoying the sea breeze starry night sky. On top of that it’s really a great bonding time with family, friends and also potential new friends.

Side note it’s really a good work out kayaking(legged paddle) do it at your own pace or tag with a partner that can Chaperone you.

Finally kudos to Guide,Chef,Friend Zac for the wonderful time. Best birthday experience with your Genuine Service(Service from the Heart) and time spent on the 1st of May 2026 with the Group.

8. Waterworks

Overview of the Business

Waterworks is an outdoor interactive exhibition at Science Centre Singapore that links splash play with learning about water and weather. Children can move through the Water Maze, avoiding or deliberately entering its changing arrangement of jets. The mechanical Water Clock Tower introduces weather-measurement tools, including an anemometer, windsock and rain gauge. Other hands-on features let visitors experiment with water while staying physically active. Science Centre recommends spending approximately 15 to 30 minutes at Waterworks, although keen children can stay longer. Suitable for all ages, the permanent exhibition can form part of a broader day exploring the centre’s scientific displays and activities.

Why Parents Choose Waterworks

  • Water play is combined with accessible science and weather concepts.
  • The Water Maze encourages movement through changing patterns of water jets.
  • Children can choose to avoid the sprays or run through them.
  • The mechanical Water Clock Tower demonstrates several weather-measurement instruments.
  • Hands-on exhibits encourage physical interaction rather than passive observation.
  • The attraction is suitable for visitors across different age groups.
  • A short recommended duration makes wider Science Centre exploration practical.
  • Outdoor splashing gives children a cooling break during their visit.
  • Waterworks is a permanent exhibition rather than a temporary installation.

For over 4 decades, the Singapore Science Centre has been the fixture of our country's audacious foray into science & technology, centred right at the heart of Jurong East. This place held so many memories for me & for Primary School students who grew up in the 2000s & I am so glad the old whismical installations of the Kinetic Garden were retained. Every perimeter of the Centre is dedicated to fun exhilarating exhibits & fascinating trivia guests can take home. 40 years forward, SSC is not stopping in their relentless mission to deliver wonder for families.

We visited the Dinosaur exhibits which was part of the Science Center. We had fun exploring the prehistoric exhibits. We have not visited the Science Center yet but had to do this review to get free popcorns and churros for the kids! I am sure the Science Center will rock!

The Science Centre Singapore is truly a great-value, clean, spacious place that’s perfect for families with young children. Instead of taking your kids to crowded indoor playgrounds in shopping malls, this is where they can touch, play, explore, and learn in the most fun and natural way.

The space is airy and well-organised, with plenty of interactive zones like light, water, robotics, nature and more. Children can freely run around while parents feel completely at ease because everything is designed to be educational and safe.

This is definitely a spot I will keep coming back to whenever I visit Singapore, because every visit feels like a new experience for both kids and adults. Highly recommended for families travelling with little ones!

It’s a tiny little water playground but the slides and the option to pay ($2/pax) for the lazy river makes it worthwhile. While crowded, my two kids and I still had lots of fun. Probably cos we went on a Saturday morning amid the National Day activities and the World Aquatic Championship hubbub. The very good upside is there are quite a few life guards to watch over the kids.

The downside is there aren’t many shady spots to shelter in and many parents reserve seats. There are also not many food options in the vicinity for kids. We walked up Kallang Leisure Mall instead.

Kids have a ball here. Water park is a good time pass for kids. It's on the top floor of the Kalang mall. Entry is free and kids have a lot of fun. Walking distance from Stadium MRT in the circle line.

This place is on the top of a Kallang Way mall and it is very easy to reach this location either from the mall or from the National Stadium itself.
It's one of the best places to bring your kids if they love to bathe, play or swim at a lower height.
Also, there are few adventures as well to experience related to water.
Do not forget to enjoy the astounding view from the top.

It’s an awesome free (albeit small) splash park with pretty decent facilities. There are benches scattered around but the only sheltered area is between the splash park and lazy river which doesn’t have line of sight on splash park.
Lazy river cost $2 per person. You can get wrist band at info centre. Overall a great way to spend the morning with kids and have lunch near by.

Location & Availability

The playground is at Kallang Wave Mall, 1 Stadium Place.

Price Range

The main water playground is free. Lazy River entry costs $2 per person and permits unlimited entries.

I've had the pleasure of completing 2 SUP sessions recently, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Instructor Jon has been phenomenal at guiding while ensuring our safety as we paddled around the lagoon and even got to venture into open waters. I'm eagerly looking forward to paddling and exploring further for future lessons. Highly recommended! 🏄🏻‍♀️

I was both nervous and excited about my introduction to SUP, but the nerves weren't needed. The introductory talk was clear, and our instructor Leon skilfully took us out on to the water and gently encouraged our confidence and introduced techniques when appropriate. He was constantly looking out for everyone in our group, and gave great advice on how we might proceed, as after our session we were all hooked. So i can only thank our brilliant and kind instructor Leon for his tuition and care. I'd go back for more.

Finally had my first lesson of stand up paddling with SUP ventures, together with my husband.
We are both very pleased with the hour-long session.
Rachel, our friendly coach gave us the necessary briefing before we take the SUP board to the waters.
When the wind was strong, pushing my board backwards, Rachel guided with patience how to keep progressing on.
We all had fun practicing how to "fall in the water" & get back on our own boards as well (did this in a safe & small lagoon).
After this lesson, I felt my whole body totally relaxed like I just had a full body spa.
I would highly recommend anyone to try it with your family & friends for a great bonding time!

How to Choose Water Activities for Your Child

  • Age suitability: Check stated age, height and weight rules before discussing an activity with your child.
  • Swimming ability: Confirm whether independent swimming is required or whether flotation equipment and close support are provided.
  • Instructor experience: Ask about water-safety credentials and experience teaching children at your child’s age and confidence level.
  • Supervision ratio: Smaller groups can make instructions easier to follow and give beginners more individual attention.
  • Safety procedures: Review life-jacket rules, lifeguard coverage, emergency arrangements and the provider’s response to changing conditions.
  • Activity level: Choose gentle splash play, structured instruction or adventurous water sports according to readiness and interest.
  • Progression pathway: Look for clear levels or milestones if your child wants to develop skills over several sessions.
  • Learning approach: Consider whether the format is recreational, educational, technique-focused or built around guided outdoor exploration.
  • Facility design: Check water depth, sheltered areas, changing rooms, showers and age-separated play spaces where relevant.
  • Equipment provision: Ask whether boards, kayaks, helmets, life jackets and other required items are included in the fee.
  • Weather policy: Understand how rain, lightning, strong wind or poor water conditions affect cancellations and rescheduling.
  • Child confidence: A calm introduction may suit an anxious beginner better than a busy attraction or fast-paced group.
  • Parent involvement: Confirm whether adults participate, supervise nearby or leave children with instructors during drop-off programmes.
  • Schedule convenience: Compare operating days, session times, travel requirements and arrival instructions before making a booking.
  • Total cost: Account for admission, instruction, equipment, ferry tickets, lockers, parking and accompanying-adult charges.
  • Trial options: A single introductory lesson can reveal whether the activity, instructor and environment suit your child.

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.

Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.
