I initially coordinated with Jun Yang over the phone, and over the course of several weeks, there were a few occasions where I was informed that he was away and his colleague wasn’t fully updated on the latest progress. This meant I had to repeat some information and do additional coordination along the way.
There was also a communication issue that I found quite bizarre. I engaged an emcee through their services, and we had a group chat between the three of us to coordinate. However, Jun Yang subsequently called me separately to raise concerns that the emcee had. I felt it would have been much more efficient for everyone to communicate directly in the existing group chat rather than having information relayed separately.
On the day of the event, I also noticed that the people hosting the game booths — whom I assume were part-timers — did not fully follow the instructions regarding the game prizes. I was relieved that Jun Yang and his manager, Joseph, were both on-site to oversee things and assist when needed.
Overall, I felt that the team could benefit from being more experienced and organised, particularly when it comes to communication and event-day coordination.
On the positive side, Carnival Wiz offers a huge array of games and services, making them a great one-stop option for company events and parties. Despite the areas for improvement, I do see myself engaging the company again in the future. I would just hope for a more experienced and organised team for the liaison and coordination next time.
Started engaging with Joseph 1 year in advance when planning for my corporate 1st Family Fiesta - Kids Event & Movie Night. He was ever so patient and helpful with all the queries I had. Response was prompt even when I texted him after office hours. He also gladly shared areas to look out for eg. application for permits. You can tell from the interactions that they were an experienced team.
Super thankful for the entire team - Joseph, Jun Yang, Luviana, Jun Yang, Hui Xian and Jolin on coordination and setup as well as the Operations Crew for all the effort and time spend to set-up and tear down for the event.
With their expertise, they turned our Event vision into reality and made it even better than what we visualized. The decorations they provided i.e. balloon columns, welcome arch and especially the LED cubes really added to the Fiesta vibe really well.
The games and activities proposed by them - Foam blasters, balloon sculptist, basketball were all well-suited and safe for the Kids age group. The games and activities were massively enjoyed by the children (including the adults)!
