IP Year 3 Chemistry can feel like a sharp step up, particularly when lessons move quickly from basic facts to unfamiliar applications, equations and experimental reasoning. This guide to the Top 10 IP Year 3 Chemistry Tuition Centres in Singapore helps parents compare subject coverage, teaching methods, class formats, locations and fees without assuming every IP school follows an identical sequence. Some teens need careful concept rebuilding, while others understand the content but struggle to interpret questions or present precise scientific explanations. The right Chemistry tuition arrangement should therefore match your teen’s school curriculum, current gaps and confidence, rather than simply add more worksheets to an already demanding week. Use this list to identify suitable options, then discuss lesson pace, assessment preparation and class fit directly with each shortlisted centre.
Key Takeaways
IP Year 3 Chemistry tuition should accommodate school-specific pacing while strengthening conceptual links, scientific reasoning and application to unfamiliar assessment questions.
Compare small-group, online and one-to-one arrangements according to your teen’s confidence, willingness to ask questions and need for individual feedback.
Before enrolling, examine tutor experience, lesson materials, marking support, travel time and fees alongside reviews from families with comparable learning concerns.
MindFlex – Your Best Platform for IP Year 3 Chemistry Home Tuition
Overview of Business
MindFlex Tuition Agency connects Singapore families with private tutors for personalised home or online lessons, including targeted IP Year 3 Chemistry support. Rather than placing every learner into a fixed class programme, they match tutors according to subject needs, school syllabus, schedule, location, budget and preferred tutor profile. This flexibility may suit teens whose IP Chemistry topic sequence differs from that followed by conventional secondary classes. A tutor can concentrate on conceptual gaps, chemical calculations, precise terminology or application questions that repeatedly cause difficulty. Lessons may also follow current schoolwork and upcoming assessments, reducing the risk of tuition moving too far ahead or revising unrelated material. With more than 50,000 active tutors in its network, MindFlex gives parents several possible experience levels and teaching styles to consider.
Why Parents Choose MindFlex?
Parents may choose MindFlex when their teen needs individual attention rather than another fast-moving group class. The free matching service allows families to compare tutor profiles, hourly rates and availability before committing, while coordinators remain available seven days a week. Home lessons can reduce travel around CCA and school commitments, whereas online tuition offers further scheduling flexibility. The TUTOR EXPRESS™ option may also provide suitable profiles within six hours, which can be helpful after an unexpected assessment result or when Chemistry gaps are becoming harder to manage.

1. Overmugged
Overview of Business
Overmugged offers group tuition for Integrated Programme students, including IP Chemistry for the upper IP years that covers the target IP Year 3 stage. Its teaching sequence begins with understanding, moves into guided application, and then develops exam-question practice and answering techniques. Classes for IP learners contain four to twelve students, offering peer interaction while retaining opportunities for progress monitoring and clarification. Notes follow the latest MOE syllabus, although parents should still confirm how lesson pacing aligns with their teen’s particular IP school and Year 3 topic order. Consultations, revision resources and tutor WhatsApp support extend help beyond scheduled lessons when difficult concepts remain unclear. In-person and Zoom arrangements may appeal to families seeking a consistent group programme with some flexibility around school and CCA demands.
Why Parents Choose Overmugged?
Parents may consider Overmugged when their teen needs a structured path from Chemistry concepts to unfamiliar application questions. The four-to-twelve-student format may feel less exposing than one-to-one tuition while still making it easier to ask questions than in a large lecture. Consultations and WhatsApp support are useful when confusion appears during school revision rather than during class itself. Its mix of syllabus-aligned notes, in-class exercises and exam-question practice may also suit learners who understand explanations but struggle to transfer that knowledge into written responses.
Mr Zhi Hao is one of the best teachers I’ve ever met. He’s willing to customise his classes to his students’ learning styles and is not afraid to go out of syllabus to sate his students’ curiosity. He takes the time to answer all questions and dives into the “why” instead of pushing for rote memorisation as most teachers do. Plus, his classes are genuinely fun and he fosters a nice and cozy learning environment where he genuinely connects with and cares for his students. Highly recommend his Chem classes!
Mr Zhi Hao is a very good teacher! His explanations are always very clear and concise, allowing me to understand complex topics easily. He also makes lessons interesting by bringing in applications in real life and is willing to clarify any questions we have. I feel so fulfilled everytime I come for lesson because I can finally understand and enjoy Chemistry! love Overmugged!!
Tutor explained the science concepts very clearly making it very easy for me to understand. Tutor is engaging during class which helps to make lessons interesting. Revisions before EOY exam helped me to be prepared and confident to do well for Science.
As a parent, I’m deeply grateful for the help and guidance from Mr. Phua to my child who is doing IP3/4 Biology. He was able to understand her personality and learning challenges even before the first tuition session began. Despite the limited class availability, the opportunity he provided became a valuable stepping stone toward better grades.
My child always looks forward to her lessons here — it feels like a happy cave for her. To see her go from “Did I choose the wrong science subject?” to “Maybe one day I’ll become a biology teacher!” truly shows the positive impact Mr. Phua has had on his students.
Once again, thank you OM and Mr. Phua. I’m genuinely impressed and deeply appreciative.
I attended the Sec 3 EOY Intensive Revision for E and A math conducted by Mr Jason Yek. His lessons were engaging and he showed dedication in his teaching throughout the session. I learnt a lot from him and I’m very grateful for his time and effort. Highly recommended if anyone’s looking for an E or A math tutor.

Axiom Education is a tuition centre founded in 2014, with a dedicated Year 3-Year 4 IP Chemistry programme relevant to teens entering upper IP science study. Lessons follow a concepts-to-application-to-exam-practice structure, breaking demanding material into manageable explanations before students tackle increasingly challenging questions. Classes contain three to eight students, which may give quieter learners more room to seek clarification and receive targeted feedback. Weekly lessons include structured notes, while recorded classes can support students who miss a session and cannot reschedule within that week. A free thirty-minute one-to-one consultation may also be available after an absence where needed. Since IP curricula vary between schools, parents should ask how Axiom maps its Chemistry sequence to their teen’s present school topics and assessment timetable.
Why Parents Choose Axiom Education?
Parents often shortlist Axiom Education because its three-to-eight-student classes balance individual attention with the discussion benefits of group learning. The progressive lesson format may suit teens who can memorise definitions but become uncertain when concepts appear inside unfamiliar scenarios. Recorded lessons and possible consultation support reduce the disruption caused by school events, illness or CCA clashes. Families may also value curriculum oversight from founder Ashley Tan, who has nearly two decades of education experience and supervises lesson planning across the subjects taught.
econs is one of my least confident subjects but axiom has helped so much with helping me feel more prepared!! the materials and questions provided are always great, and the tutors are great at explaining even complicated topics 🙂
Ashley has been teaching me math since Y2 and has played an instrumental role in helping me to improve my grades. His comprehensive notes, clear teaching style and willingness to help me understand every concept are a few reasons why he is so good at what he does. I’m very grateful to axiom for improving my math skills and beyond that, being a place where I can have fun learning with my friends.
Axiom is GOATEDD The notes are good, Ashley is a really good and funny teacher and we get food every first week of the month🫰🏼🫰🏼 It’s a great community:)
Axiom is such a great tuition centre! They have a great learning environment and patient teachers to guide me through my journey in IB math. I see real results as my grades got pulled up from a 5 to a 7 after attending lessons here!
The classes are kept small and focused, meaning tutors can focus on each individual students weaknesses. My chemistry tutor is very approachable and is eager to explain concepts I don't fully grasp. I ❤️ AXIOM🔥🔥
Both my boys have so far benefited for being at Axiom. After just one term, there has been a marked improvement in grades and, more importantly, a visible boost in confidence toward the subject matter. (Sec 3/4 Phy, Chem and A-Maths)
They don’t just "tutor"; they identify specific knowledge gaps and bridge them effectively with solid teaching materials.
The instructors make complex concepts digestible and less intimidating.
Appreciate as well the flexibility of make up class options.

Mr Khemistry is a Chemistry-focused tuition centre with a programme explicitly covering IP Year 3 and IP Year 4 Chemistry. Its IP model progresses through Concept, Application and Exam Simulation, giving teens a defined route from understanding content to performing under assessment conditions. Visual aids, curated worksheets, targeted practice and real-time feedback may suit learners who find dense Chemistry notes difficult to process independently. Timed mock papers and examiner-style comments then draw attention to reasoning gaps, incomplete explanations and avoidable presentation errors. Founder Teacher Eric has over twenty years of teaching experience, a Pure Chemistry degree from NUS and former MOE Junior College teaching experience. Onsite, Zoom and recorded options provide different levels of interaction and flexibility, although families should confirm the class that matches their teen’s school sequence.
Why Parents Choose Mr Khemistry?
Parents may choose Mr Khemistry for its clear specialisation in Chemistry and directly supported IP Year 3 programme. The staged model can help teens who know isolated facts but struggle to connect concepts when questions combine several ideas. Examiner-style feedback and timed simulations may also reveal whether lost marks come from weak understanding, rushed interpretation or imprecise wording. Recorded access and WhatsApp consultations offer useful continuity between lessons, particularly during busy assessment periods when schoolwork produces questions outside normal class hours.
Mr Kua has always been so nurturing and patient to me. Through my time with him, I found chemistry as a subject truly enjoyable and fun to learn as he gamifies his lessons. He never fails to answer my doubts about certain questions beyond the classroom. Thank you, Mr Kua!

Future Academy is a small-group tuition centre founded in 2015 by former top-school educators Ms Yvonne Chen and Mr Jason Lau. Its IP offering includes Chemistry for IP Year 3-4, alongside other subjects across the first four IP years. Chemistry teaching can follow school-specific pacing where possible, an important consideration because IP schools may introduce topics and assess them in different sequences. Lessons incorporate inquiry-based questions, experimental design, data analysis, practical write-ups and feedback, extending support beyond factual recall. A maximum one-to-six teacher-to-student ratio gives tutors room to notice whether a teen is misreading data or applying concepts mechanically. Onsite, hybrid and live online formats may suit families who need consistent instruction without allowing travel or occasional timetable clashes to interrupt learning.
Why Parents Choose Future Academy?
Parents may consider Future Academy when their teen needs closer feedback than a larger Chemistry class usually permits. The maximum one-to-six ratio may encourage hesitant learners to ask questions before misunderstandings become embedded across connected topics. School-aligned pacing, where possible, is particularly relevant for IP Year 3 tuition because curricula are not identical across institutions. Hybrid flexibility can also preserve lesson continuity during demanding school weeks, while immediate feedback on experimental reasoning and written work may help identify errors that independent worksheet practice leaves unnoticed.
Ms Chen is very knowledgeable, super responsible and supportive towards my son’s learning journey in Math.Highly recommended to the students who needs guidance and support in Math
My tutor is nice caring and supportive and she’s a very good teacher and help brush up my math. She goes the extra mile in guiding me. Highly recommended.
I go to tuition here for Math lessons. Ms Yvonne Chen is very helpful and patient with her students and always stops to ensure everyone understands the content fully before continuing. Under her guidance and help my math results have steadily improved and i strongly recommend anyone looking for tuition to attend Future Academy.
I attended class here when my GPA for math was very bad. In Y2 I managed to get a 4.0 after one year of lessons! Very grateful for the entertaining and enriching lessons. There is also good use of digital tools to enhance learning, even if one cannot make it physically, they are able to attend the lesson online in a way that is equally educational.
It is amazing, the teachers are great there and I really enjoyed it. I really recommend it because it helped me with my math a lot and it is a very good place to learn. I think it was very good that I chose to go here because it was so worth it. I felt very safe and I could ask any question, and they would help explain how to get to the answers. I think that it was very amazing that they print sheets for you to work on based on what your doing and I think that was a thing I had never seen before. I think they have amazing teachers and the teachers would sit down with you and explain each question you did not understand. It really helped me improve in math and I think it got me more confident in myself and not wondering if I was right, and instead knowing I am right. It was really great and I think Ms. Chen is a great teacher.
Excellent and all-rounded tuition centre. Provides tuition of a variety of subjects with highly dedicated and amazing teachers! They are extremely helpful and do their best to help you whatever problem you have. The teachers’ teaching style is unique and they can adjust the lessons to the topics that you are facing difficulty in.

Ingel Soong Tuition Centre provides small-group and private tuition in Chemistry, Math and Physics across IP and several other academic pathways. IP Chemistry is supported broadly, making it relevant for parents seeking help at IP Year 3, although families should confirm the current group’s year and topic sequence. Every lesson is personally taught by Ingel, who has over fourteen years of teaching experience and holds a First Class Honours degree in NUS Engineering Science. His Ingelious Method builds knowledge from first principles, integrates syllabus ideas into a larger conceptual picture and draws attention to commonly penalised details. Memorable analogies and examination-answering techniques then help students apply technical keywords more accurately. This boutique approach may suit teens who need concepts connected carefully rather than covered through high-volume drilling alone.
Why Parents Choose Ingel Soong Tuition Centre?
Parents may shortlist Ingel Soong Tuition Centre when teaching consistency matters, since Ingel personally conducts all lessons. First-principles explanations can support teens who have memorised Chemistry rules without understanding why they work, a weakness that often appears during unfamiliar applications. Small classes also make it easier to ask follow-up questions and adjust the lesson pace around genuine understanding. Access through WhatsApp or Telegram may help learners resolve specific doubts between sessions instead of waiting until misconceptions affect the next topic.
Both my sons are under Ingel Soong’s tutelage, and we are very thankful for his guidance. He is extremely patient, kind, and explains concepts in a very clear and structured way, making even challenging topics easy to understand.
He has taught them JC H2 Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, as well as Engineering Mathematics and chemical engineering in the Diploma in Chemical Engineering. What truly stands out is how he breaks down complex theories and calculations into simple, logical steps. He ensures they genuinely understand the concepts rather than just memorising formulas.
He is highly knowledgeable, yet very approachable. My sons feel comfortable asking questions, and we have seen clear improvement in their confidence and understanding. I would highly recommend him to any student taking JC math and science subjects or diploma engineering subjects.
Ingel has a exceptional dedication to teaching, going above and beyond to ensure I have a clear understanding of the topics. His way of work and teaching are of outstanding quality. Most impressively, he was able to teach with remarkable efficiency, and cover all topics within 24 hours. A truly commendable experience.
Ingel is a responsible and flexible tutor. He works closely with parents to deliver results. It's great to see tremendous improvement on my child from his teachings. At the same time, providing an enjoyable lesson for his students.
Ingel is a fantastic tutor! He provides clear and thorough guidance, making sure I understand each concept fully before moving on. He method of teaching is both effective and engaging. His patience and dedication make a huge difference in my learning experience. I truly appreciate his support and highly recommend him!
had an amazing experience with Ingel! He provided invaluable guidance and support throughout my schoolwork, particularly in a few challenging modules. Ingel was incredibly responsive, thorough, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure I understood the concepts.
What stood out most was his ability to break things down with clear, step-by-step guidance, making complex topics much easier to grasp. Whenever I felt unsure, he was patient and happy to walk me through until I felt confident.
Thanks to Ingel’s dedication and effective teaching methods, my grades improved significantly — jumping from a C to an A! I’m truly grateful for his help and highly recommend him to anyone looking for academic support.
Thank you so much, Ingel!

Pamela’s Place is a Bukit Timah tuition centre specialising in Biology and Chemistry, including IP Chemistry for students who need help with deeper concepts and application-heavy questions. Drawing on more than 12 years of teaching experience and experience with over 500 students, the centre focuses on small-group instruction, personalised guidance, and careful identification of learning gaps. IP Year 3 students receive notes, worksheets, quizzes, homework, and consultation support beyond their scheduled lessons. Cross-topic revision and challenging questions may be helpful when a teen understands separate chapters but finds it difficult to connect ideas during school assessments. With no more than seven students in each class, the tutor can monitor misconceptions and adjust explanations more closely. This may suit families seeking IP Year 3 Chemistry tuition that builds conceptual clarity, regular practice, and answering techniques rather than depending mainly on memorisation.
Why Parents Choose Pamela’s Place
Parents may consider Pamela’s Place when their teen needs closer guidance than a larger IP Year 3 Chemistry class might provide. Small groups encourage students to participate actively, while personalised feedback may uncover misconceptions before these affect later Chemistry topics. Cross-topic questions also support students handling deeper application tasks rather than straightforward recall exercises. Consultations and WhatsApp support give students another way to ask questions between lessons, which may help during busy school weeks. Trial lessons allow families to assess the teaching pace and suitability before making a longer commitment.
I am extremely grateful to Ms Pam, for the huge improvement in my Biology and Chemistry results. In Sec 3 EOYs, I was scoring C6 for Biology and D7 for Chemistry, which honestly made me very worried about my O Levels. That was when I decided to join Ms Pam’s classes, which turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for my O Levels!
Ms Pam’s teaching is very structured, clear, and effective. She explains concepts patiently, breaks down difficult topics into simple, understandable parts, and constantly reinforces key ideas (through constant active recall in class) to ensure strong understanding. Her lessons helped me identify my weak areas, clarify misconceptions, and truly understand the content for our syllabus, especially for Biology.
Because of her guidance and consistent practice, my grades improved significantly! I eventually achieved A2 for Biology and B3 for Chemistry in the O Levels. This improvement from C6 and D7 sounds crazy, but Ms Pam made it achievable with her dedication, encouragement, and teaching methods.
I highly recommend Pamela’s Place to anyone struggling with Biology or Chemistry. If you are willing to put in the effort, Ms Pam will definitely help you see real improvement and results. 🙂
Ms Pam is a very fun and interactive tutor. She illustrates pure biology concepts very simply and constantly makes us remember the important ones so we can ace our exams (I got A2 For PB)
Overall, really recommend Ms Pam, she is also very kind and approachable! You can without a doubt understand what you are struggling with and solve those issues!
Ms Pam will help you improve. Results may not be immediate but you will feel more confident that you know what your answering is factual. Thus she’s really good at implanting content into your mind. Her practise papers’ questions have actually come out in my quizzes before, I’m from EJ btw. When you ask her questions over WhatsApp she will reply you ASAP and oftentimes they are quite detailed. It really goes to show how dedicated of a teacher she is. However you also have to put in the work also lah, a levels is a marathon. Oh also she gave this really good cold brew coffee before it was bussing frfr. So I started studying with her in J1 but I still U-graded the whole of J1. In J2 for mid years I got a U again but in prelims I finally got a S. And A levels surprise surprise I got a B! So like trust the process, do the things she tell you like really prepare when she starts saying go study. Will save ur grades and ur motivation. GL pookies
Like to extend our thanks to Teacher Pamela. My girl did well for A Level H2 Biology. She only went to Teacher Pamela in July 2024 with a weak mid year result. The run way was very short, with less than 5 mths to prep for the final exam. The notes & the intensive drills from classes helped to boost her confidence & improved her grades tremendously.
Highly recommended for students who is preparing for O & A level exams to get coaching from Teacher Pamela !
words cannot fully express how thankful i am for Ms Pamela. when i first started tuition, i was struggling not just with the concepts but with believing in myself. but Ms Pamela has been more than just a tutor—she’s been a source of constant encouragement and support. she took the time to pinpoint my areas of weakness and never made me feel ashamed of my difficulties but instead worked patiently with me to address each struggle i had. her notes are concise and comprehensive, making learning much more efficient. my grades have improved by leaps and bounds, and my self-belief has grown stronger. now i feel confident tackling problems that once seemed impossible, and i’m able to elaborate with effort 🤓☝️ thanks Ms Pamela! #favouritestudent

Indigo Education Centre is an MOE-registered tuition organisation established in 2011, with a dedicated IP Chemistry course for IP Year 3-4 students. Its integrated lecture-tutorial approach introduces concepts and moves quickly into immediate application, reducing the gap between understanding an explanation and using it independently. Syllabus-aligned notes, power summaries, conceptual multiple-choice questions and tiered structured questions organise revision across different difficulty levels. Consolidated exercises then allow teens to connect material after individual ideas have been practised. The IP Chemistry page reports an 81.82% distinction rate for 2024, though parents should consider their teen’s starting point and learning habits rather than treating cohort results as a promise. With several locations and online lesson availability, Indigo may suit families seeking an established programme with structured resources and scheduling choice.
Why Parents Choose Indigo Education Centre?
Parents may choose Indigo Education Centre when their teen benefits from a highly organised Chemistry lesson sequence and carefully tiered practice. Immediate application can show whether a concept has genuinely been understood, instead of allowing passive familiarity to feel like mastery. Power summaries may make revision less overwhelming during busy school weeks, while consolidated exercises support cross-topic connections. Multiple branches and online availability can also reduce logistical strain, although families should confirm which locations currently offer the relevant IP Year 3 Chemistry timetable.

AskMrChan provides specialised Chemistry tuition, including a clearly defined IP Year 3-4 programme designed around conceptual depth and advanced thinking. Lessons use structured examples, data interpretation, application-based questions and cross-topic connections, all relevant when IP assessments move beyond straightforward recall. Recorded classes allow teens to revisit explanations at their own pace, which may help when several linked ideas were introduced quickly at school. Chemistry tutorials, question banks and videos provide further material for focused practice outside class. Mr Chan reports more than twelve years of MOE teaching experience and over eighteen years of combined school and private tutoring experience. Small-group teaching may suit learners who want direct access to an experienced Chemistry tutor while retaining the energy and shared discussion of a class.
Why Parents Choose AskMrChan?
Parents may consider AskMrChan when their teen needs Chemistry support built specifically around IP depth rather than a general upper secondary class. Data interpretation and cross-topic questions can expose whether knowledge is flexible enough for unfamiliar assessment contexts. Recorded lessons are useful for reviewing dense explanations, while the digital resource bank gives teens focused material between classes. The stated maximum of ten to twelve students may also provide more access to clarification than a lecture-sized programme, without removing opportunities to learn from classmates’ questions.
We are incredibly grateful for Mr Chan's dedication, patience, and commitment to delivering exceptional Chemistry teaching to both my daughters. Your lessons are engaging, clear, and effective, and the thoughtful gesture of available snacks for the kids truly reflects how much you care about your students. Mr Chan is an outstanding educator, and I highly, highly recommend him to anyone seeking a top notch Chemistry tutor.

Winners Education is a Bishan-based Chemistry specialist that has worked with learners across IP Year 1-4 since 1999. Lessons are conducted by Sean Chua, an invited author of O-Level Chemistry and A-Level H2 Chemistry Ten Year Series books with over twenty years of coaching experience. His approach prioritises understanding over rote memorisation, using everyday and industrial analogies to make abstract processes easier to interpret. Concise notes, keyword emphasis, flowcharts and questions arranged by topic and challenge level support systematic revision. Teens may clarify doubts before, during and after class, while parents receive periodic updates on quiz results, exam-paper analysis and learning strategy. Reported IP testimonials include substantial improvements, although individual progress will still depend on attendance, effort and programme fit.
Why Parents Choose Winners Education?
Parents may shortlist Winners Education for its long-standing Chemistry specialisation and direct access to an experienced subject tutor. Everyday analogies may help teens who find symbolic equations and invisible particle-level processes too abstract, while concise materials can prevent revision from becoming cluttered. Regular quizzes give families clearer evidence of whether concepts are settling, rather than relying only on occasional school results. Parent updates and direct question support may also suit households seeking visibility without turning every revision session into a stressful parent-teen discussion.
Mr Chua is a dedicated and patient teacher that helped me make a big jump in my grades for my A levels. I initially focused a lot on memorising but after attending Mr Chua’s lessons I learnt that I had to focus more on my basics and fundamentals. His HOTQ workshop nearing the A levels was especially helpful for me as it consolidated all the basic concepts and keywords that I needed to know, and he taught them with mind maps and carefully selected questions. I recommend Winners Education to students that want a push in their chemistry grades!
Before joining Winner’s Education, my son barely understood Chemistry and scored only a C6 in his Sec 3 EOY, despite putting in a lot of effort and one-on-one home tuition.
After enrolling in Winner’s Chemistry classes with Mr. Chua, he improved by leaps and bounds. He started enjoying the subject—even tough topics like Organic Chemistry became a breeze. Mr. Chua emphasizes deep understanding over rote memorization, using first-class teaching methods that make Chemistry fun and accessible. I noticed my son was no longer stressed by it, increased in confidence, spent very little time revising outside class, and still achieved an A1.
In fact, he only attended Mr. Chua's classes, did Mr Chua’s weekly assignments (takes only 10-15 mins to do each assignment), and practiced TYS—and that was enough for an A1. No additional textbooks, guidebooks, assessment books, school materials or prelim papers from other schools were needed; Mr Chua’s notes, assignments and TYS (answers written by Mr Chua) cover everything required for O Levels. As my son puts it, Mr. Chua’s approach is all about understanding, not memorizing. Mr. Chua’s methods significantly reduced the time my son spent revising Chemistry and removed A LOT of stress from O-Level exam preparation, freeing up time for him to focus on other memory-heavy subjects like history.
Best of all, it wasn’t just about the A1 — it was a huge relief to see my son genuinely enjoy Chemistry, free from stress, and develop a solid grasp of it. If you need help with Chemistry, look no further — Mr. Chua is the best Chemistry teacher!
I’m really thankful to Mr Chua from Winners Education for completely changing the way I see Chemistry. I went from a C6 in my Sec 3 EOYs to an A1 in O-Level Chemistry, and I also gained interest in the subject along the way. Mr Chua’s teaching is very clear and easy to understand. He focuses on understanding instead of memorising, so Chemistry doesn’t feel like a subject you need to mug for. His notes are so well-organised and his explanations are so clear that I barely had to study much outside of class, everything just made sense. He also uses simple analogies to explain difficult concepts, which really helped me remember and apply what I learned during exams. Because of his teaching, Chemistry became much less stressful and even somewhat enjoyable. I would highly recommend Mr Chua and Winners Education to anyone who wants to truly understand Chemistry and improve their results.
i was getting d7 for chemistry in secondary 2 and realised that i needed intervention. after finding out about winners through my older brother, i promptly signed up for winners secondary 3 class. i attended winners for 2 years and mr chua's classes have provided me with more than sufficient guidance and support that i needed to ace chemistry. the notes provided were succinct and easy for me to understand. mr chua was also very easy to contact and i could clarity my doubts with him anytime. i enjoyed how mr chua made use of mnemonic devices, making it easier for me to recall information. from achieving a stagnant d7 for chemistry in secondary 2, my grades improved to a b4 in upper secondary and to a b3 for my prelims. finally i was able to achieve an a1 in chemistry for my recent o levels. thanks mr chua 🙂
Joining Winners Education made learning chemistry so much easier and fun for me. Mr Chua breaks down concepts so it’s easier to understand. I also have to memorise lesser, since I understand the concepts more thoroughly. Mr Chua also makes lessons very engaging and interesting! Winners ed not only helped me to maintain my A2 in chem but also helped me to enjoy the process of learning chem 🙂
My son started with Winners Education under Mr Chua after his first Weighted Assessment in secondary school, where he scored a C6 for Pure Chemistry—just a borderline pass. With Mr Chua’s guidance and clear explanations, his confidence and understanding steadily improved. He collected his O-Level results today with an A2 for Pure Chemistry. This remarkable improvement was achieved within just 9 months. I am grateful for the positive impact Mr Chua and Winners Education have made on his learning journey.
My son joined at the start of Sec 3 Term 4 (12 weeks before SA2 exam) with a D7 for his Chemistry SA1 exam. The transformation in just 12 lessons has been incredible—he achieved a B4 in his SA2 exam!
What impressed me most is his feedback on Mr. Chua’s teaching. When I ask if anyone raises questions in Mr Chua’s class, he says there’s no need because Mr. Chua explains everything so explicitly and clearly from the start.
The best part is seeing his confidence return—he went from being completely lost in school to being able to confidently participate in lessons. Thank you, Mr. Chua, for the amazing breakthrough!

Seb Academy is a Chemistry tuition centre led by founder Mr Sebastian Lim, with a dedicated IP Year 3-4 Chemistry programme. Classes are divided according to syllabus sequence to accommodate differences among IP schools, a useful feature when topic order and assessment timing do not align neatly. Curated resources support concept linking, while guidance for projects and investigative reports extends beyond conventional question drilling. Practical tuition includes guided experiments, mock assessments, grading and individual feedback for skills such as data handling and planning. The wider programme also uses interactive lessons, homework marking, consultations and a student portal to sustain practice between classes. With Bishan and Bukit Timah branches, Seb Academy may suit families seeking subject specialisation together with explicit attention to school-specific IP Chemistry demands.
Why Parents Choose Seb Academy?
Parents may choose Seb Academy because its IP Chemistry classes account for differing school syllabus sequences rather than assuming every teen studies identical topics simultaneously. Curated materials and concept-linking can help learners organise advanced ideas that otherwise feel fragmented. Practical and investigative guidance may appeal when a teen understands theory but struggles to interpret observations, process data or justify conclusions. Consultation access, homework feedback and portal resources also provide several opportunities to correct misunderstandings before they reappear in school assessments.
Mr Lim is a very passionate and enthusiastic teacher who does his best to ensure that his students understand the topics taught. Before exams, he provides complimentary online classes and consultations to help us revise, run through challenging questions and clarify our doubts. Moreover, he provides his students with comprehensive, colour coded notes that make our revision easier for us. Whenever students have questions, they can message him via WhatsApp and will receive a prompt response from him. Thanks to his patient guidance and support, I managed to obtain a distinction for my chemistry in O levels.
seb academy gives so many high-quality resources to prepare students for the chemistry o levels and great support for any questions or queries one may have about chemistry. lessons were fun and enjoyable and the consistent use of kahoot in class also kept it light-hearted while also testing my knowledge of the topic, which i found a big help. the worksheets given out were truly one of a kind because of their detailed explanations, and because of that i was truly able to understand and not just blindly memorise chemistry. because of mr lim’s lessons, i started to appreciate chemistry as a whole instead of seeing it as a hassle to learn and study. thank you mr lim for the constant support and the incredible teaching!
Am a parent of a O level student who just received her results. Wanna appreciate Mr Lim for his enthusiasm, patience and heartfelt mentoring which took my girl from a C5/6 at Sec 3 to an A2 at O levels. So much patience was seen in encouraging my child, and time taken to engage/work together with me to help my child. It’s been an awesome ride, with a fantastic teacher who makes things so fun for the kids that my girl willingly treks 40mins for tuition! Thanks once again Mr Lim!
My son achieved an A1 for his O level Chemistry (he’s not been a consistent A grade student) and I attribute a big part of this to Sebastian and the fantastic tutor he is and the excellent support provided leading up to and during the exam season. In terms of teaching, Sebastian is able to break down difficult concepts and explain it in a way which is easy to understand. Concepts which were taught in school which my son did not understand were clarified once Sebastian taught these. I have been very impressed with how professional, proactive and dedicated Sebastian is - the amount of support and resource provided is fantastic and my son did not lack anything. In fact, he probably had too much provided to him (but who’s complaining?). From charting out detailed revision plans to organizing daily morning revision boost sessions to planning final review sessions prior to each paper, my son was fully supported throughout his O level exam journey and I couldn’t have asked for more. In addition, Sebastian always goes the extra mile to create/compile exclusive resources to ensure his students are very well positioned (eg., chemistry bible and curated summaries and compilations etc). Seeing how well my son was supported and resourced was extremely reassuring to me. Further, I really appreciated the fact that Sebastian always made time for my son to consult (this does not happen with all tutors) hence I felt very confident leaving my son in Sebastian’s good hands. Sebastian really is the GOAT for secondary school Chemistry! Thank you Sebastian for everything you have done! You are such an amazing and committed tutor! You have set the bar so high that I now have the challenge of scouting a clone of you for my son’s A levels Chemistry. I highly highly recommend Sebastian for his Chemistry program! 👍👍👍
We are really glad that Teacher Sebastian has consistently helped us in Chem throughout the entire sec 4 academic year. His efforts of giving individual reports on the kid's progress and looping in the parents as part of the journey was really inspiring. We felt connected and truly engaged to encourage our son to work together for the results that he strives for. The revision materials closer to exams were also very useful. Sincerely grateful for the efforts put in!

How to Choose the Best IP Year 3 Chemistry Tuition for Your Child?
The best IP Year 3 Chemistry tuition depends on why your teen is struggling and how support fits their school curriculum. A programme that suits an independent learner may frustrate someone who needs patient, repeated explanation. Consider the following points before committing to a term.
Match lessons to current learning gaps, whether your teen needs concept rebuilding, calculation practice, practical reasoning or clearer structured responses.
Confirm the IP curriculum alignment carefully, because schools may teach Chemistry topics in different sequences and assess them with differing depth.
Compare formats with your teen’s habits, weighing one-to-one attention against small-group discussion, peer questions and the independence required online.
Examine experience and feedback practices closely, including how mistakes are diagnosed, written work is marked and questions receive support between lessons.
Balance class size, travel and timing, since a strong programme becomes less useful when exhaustion or repeated timetable clashes disrupt attendance.
Review fees and parent feedback together, using recent reviews as context while judging affordability, lesson length, materials and ongoing commitments.
A trial lesson or detailed consultation can reveal more than promotional claims alone. Observe whether the tutor explains unfamiliar ideas clearly, checks genuine understanding and responds constructively when your teen is uncertain. The strongest choice is not automatically the largest or most expensive IP Chemistry tuition centre, but the arrangement your teen can attend consistently and use productively.
