They have really cute items and they gave us a voucher as they know that we enjoys art alot!. they have oil painting and have materials provided and alot of interesting lessons for kids between 5-9Years old and for teenagers like me too which it is very nice! there is one at chinatown and Dhoby Ghaut.
during the heritage fest outlet is really nice, they have ample tables for us to use during watercolour painting
The two complimentary classes of foundational tree drawing and urban sketching is highly recommended for many beginners who have little or no background. This was given in response that the culture credits urban sketching class is not suitable for people who want to learn art in depth.
The teacher Wu is very patient, explains the strokes through words and demonstrations, and there is sufficient room for executing the techniques on the spot.
Materials are provided on the spot, trees of various shapes are practiced. Also, a few buildings and some techniques were tried out.
There is also motivation to apply the techniques and the application is doable.
However, sometimes the teacher can be really busy so it can help to remind the teacher that I am done so that the teacher doesn’t take too long to come back to me.
Also, the centre is pretty busy so they might not always reply promptly. I suggest that expanding research outside is crucial, such as pertaining to what type of markers or canvas to get etc.
Overall, I think this class is worth recommending to complete beginners and people with little background to go in depth and also have fun.
Through SG culture pass I took an incredibly enjoyable sketching class with the Visual Arts Centre. There were a couple of other attendees in the class with me and I was supervised by the attending artist instructor, Jade. She has an encouraging teaching style and made gentle tactful suggestions on how to improve my eye, how to hold the pencils, hatch lines, discern the contours of shadows, and proportion the objects in the fore and background. I was able to produce a sketch that both she and I were satisfied with! All materials were provided which made it a convenient class. The environment was air conditioned and there was classical music playing in the background. Meditative and nourishing for the soul.
Just completed an incredible creative learning journey art tour in Manila led by Jeffrey and lola, and I couldn't be more impressed!
Both of them were exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate, bringing the local art scene to life with their insights and enthusiasm. The tour was perfectly paced - we had ample time at each location to truly appreciate the artwork without feeling rushed. I particularly loved learning about the stories behind the pieces and how they beautifully reflect Filipino culture and history. Jeffrey and lola's expertise really enhanced our understanding of the contemporary art movement in the Philippines.
Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious about Manila's vibrant creative scene, this tour is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the culture. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Filipino contemporary art and several new favourite artists to follow.
Fantastic Calligraphy and ink painting class with WU . Beautiful Professional and kind staff. I had a wonderful morning . There was a great Ceramics Exhibition next door .Thank you so much. Emer

I have been painting at this studio for the past 1.5 years, and it has been such a wonderful place to explore and develop my artistic skills. I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with different mediums, including acrylic, oil, watercolour, and even gouache! I’ve also had the chance to join quite a few palette knife painting workshops, which have allowed me to explore new techniques and expand my artistic horizons.
The studio owner, Jae, has such a cheerful and positive personality. She is a joy to be around and learn from, and her hilarious jokes always make every session something to look forward to. With her guidance and encouragement, I’ve been able to take on more complex artworks that I would never have dreamed of creating just a few years ago.
I was recommended to Artify by another parent who told me that her kid is fidgety and requires an environment which is not structured and teachers who can understand and be patient. She didn’t do well in another art school and they found Artify which turned out great. Our experience is positive as well. My 5-year old kid’s first acrylic painting at a 1.5 hour trial session blew my breath away (note that he has never taken such classes before). Not only can Teacher Prisha guide him on a technical level within a short amount of time, she is also patient and allows space for mistakes without over-correcting the child. She explained that even though the proportions may not be right, sometimes there is no need to correct it because over-correcting a child would lead to the child losing confidence and being unable to be creative and produce their own art in future.
Owner Teacher Jae explained that the philosophy of the school is child-led. The child leads the subject and the teachers follow their journey to guide them. The art teachers here also have full time jobs and they come here to teach out of passion. This can bring a different perspective of life to art and to teaching.
They also have interesting holiday programmes such as linocut printing which introduces young children to different art mediums and forms and techniques.
I had such a fun time at Artify Studio! The place feels cozy and welcoming, with plenty of refreshments and the instructor, Jae, is friendly and patient. She guides you along if you are feeling stuck but also gives you the freedom to paint in your own style, which I loved. Everything you need (canvas, paint, brushes etc) is provided, so you can just relax and enjoy the session.
I walked away not only with a painting I’m proud of, but also feeling refreshed and inspired. Definitely recommend Artify Studio if you’re looking for a chill, creative way to spend a few hours!
Love the experience. I came alone just to try out their guided art jam session. Everyone in the class seems to know one another lol, some came with their friends, others are probably long time students, etc. It was my first time going for such an activity. I didn't have any experience in painting whatsoever haha, just wanted to try something different. The instructor was quick and very clear in her direction to create the artwork. I was left to do the artwork alone, and I truly like how I have my own space to work on the art, no pressure. (it's not like a tutor will sit beside you while you draw, lol). I got lost sometimes when I completed certain steps in the artwork and had to wait for the instructor because one instructor jumps around several students, but that's alright for me. Canvas and Paints were provided, including what colour to use etc, so that's worth the money. I was asked to choose a reference to follow in creating the artwork. Each reference requires different kinds of technique (lol didn't know that at first), I ended up creating the artwork using a sponge to make the background effect, which was cool. The whole session was 2hr 30mins but I exceeded slightly more than that, haha. Thankfully we're not forced to stop working lol. I definitely recommend coming to try some art painting, and it is always good to ask how the artwork is created first before deciding what to paint so you get the rough idea of the painting process (and challenges), and also ask what canvas size is available before you start (I was given the largest one lol). I got to bring back my artwork but now I have no idea where to put it, haha. One advice for first timer, pls wear socks or use their slippers, no shoes allowed lol - I didn't know that.
My 4yr old daughter has been going for art classes here since about a year ago and she's really benefited from it! I see she's picked up the basics of art quite well.
The patient and passionate teachers made it easy and fun for the kids to learn, breaking down the methods into easily understood steps. We get to bring home a 'masterpiece' almost every other week.
Super lovely art studio at Textile Center. The instructor was very patient teaching us how to draw step by step and helping us when we made some oopsy mistakes 🙂
It was truly a great experience. I would definitely come back and try other paintings 🙂
My first time trying out the palate knife painting. It was evening class but Jae our instructor was very vibrant, enthusiastic n humorous without being extremely extra. Good enough energy for us who came after whole day work 😀 I also enjoyed her history telling about acrylic paint. Interesting! Jae explained all the step by step techniques slowly n with patience. Truly enjoyed it. Will sign up for more workshops. Great location n great price. Thank u!

Strokearts is a fabulous place to learn any art you desire to learn. I'm an adult currently learning Madhubani art and Lippon art from Shivali, and it has been a wonderful experience. Shivali is an excellent teacher - patient, knowledgeable and truly passionate about the art forms. I really appreciate how also she shares the background and history behind each art, which makes the learning even more meaningful. Highly recommended for anyone interested in any art form .
My 13yo child had a fantastic experience with the holiday art program! The 8-hr acrylic painting session on an A1 canvas was incredibly fun and inspiring. It was wonderful to see my child fully engaged, exploring colours, textures and techniques with confidence. The instructor was patient and encouraging, creating a supportive space for creativity to flourish. Our child came home proud of her artwork and excited to paint more - highly recommend this program for budding young artists!
I thoroughly enjoyed doing my koi fish madhubani painting under Shivali’s guidance. From the time we discussed what to draw and how to draw, Shivali was really open to my ideas and that’s motivated me to get this right to perfection. She lets the student share what they want before telling them what to do. I enjoyed every bit of color in my painting and was so satisfied to bring it to life. The little details to the color combinations, the chit chats we had, it was a fulfilling experience. Many more to go!!!
Shivali Mathur is a wonderful artist and art educator. Her knowledge of her subject is wide and deep. I have been to many of her art workshops and she has never failed to make it memorable for me. Would recommend her workshops and regular art courses to anyone who wants to enhance their skills.
Strokearts is spreading love for Arts for young and old alike. They are strong in Indian traditional art form and abstract too. Shivali and team inspire students and ignite love and passion fuelling the creativity and cognitive skills of learners. Wish that they continue spreading the love and joy for Art!

My child was very happy doing art there. I peep a few times. Was glad to see that she didn't throw tantrum and was responsible for her artwork such as drying it up with a hair dryer.
We’re very thankful to Artlette Thomson for being part of my daughter’s journey since Primary 1. Over the years, we’ve seen steady improvement in her artistic skills and confidence. The teachers are patient, encouraging, and truly care about nurturing each child’s creativity. My daughter always enjoys her lessons, and we really appreciate the supportive and inspiring environment.
Teacher Pearlyn is very skilled, patient and artistic. She has conducted the lesson very well such that I truly enjoy every moment of learning water colour with her. I am very happy and satisfied with the artwork that Teacher Pearlyn has taught me.
I used the culture pass to sign up for a watercolor painting lesson. It's 2.5 hours and we can choose to do one A4 art piece or two smaller ones following samples shown to us. The instructor Pearlyn was very attentive, patient and encouraging. I enjoyed the session very much.

7 and 3 year old children trying art jamming for the first time. Staff was very helpful and friendly from the get-go of WhatsApp booking to actual painting activity done in-store. Peaceful place to try art painting on a bear, canvas or tote bag. 2hr session.
Tip: Don't go for a complicated artwork so u have more time to paint and touch up. Downside was that we had to draw our own pics and that took up an hr. There's no guidance so be mindful to prep your artwork before you reach there.
Feedback to staff about having template drawings in future so kids can manage easier.
Otherwise, generally a good activity to harness patience and colours mixing skills for your children.
Truly enjoyed my art lessons especially with the friendly n knowledgeable n helpful teacher Kwan, who constantly went above n beyond in providing valuablr advises, tools n assistance!! The studio was very beautiful, cozy and bright, perfect for the class. It was an honour to meet the founder of the brand, who creates so many wonderful products. She was very patient and gave us a lot of guidance as it was our first time using the Procreate app. It was a truly memorable experience, great for family bonding, and I will be back for more of her workshops!
It was a cosy and wonderful experience at Papercranes! Teacher Aeri was incredibly friendly and patient with us. Besides guiding us through the basics of Procreate, she also ensured that we had a meaningful and enjoyable experience, making sure we were happy with our final creations. I would definitely sign up for her future courses again!
Attended the watercolour flower workshop (beginner) and enjoyed it so much! Class size was small, very personal, materials and notes to take home, light music in the background. Thanks Aeri for teaching us a beautiful art!
Teacher Aeri was really patient with us and helped us to put our ideas into Procreate through appropriate scaffolding. Studio was very easy to find - just beside MacPherson MRT station. The studio was very pretty and conducive for our session. Looking forward to receiving our very own onigiri wristlets with our own designs. Great for parent-child bonding!
I visited the shop today and it is really nice, beautifully arranged. Owner runs the shop by herself and she is friendly, also helpful. I literally loved all the designs it had, but I settled for 2024 planner book and a birthday card. Prices are little high but you’ll not be disappointed for the quality they render. My kid has been attending workshops at Achievers Arts during the school holidays. The teachers are friendly and caring, and the centre provides a relaxing environment for children who genuinely love art. Thank you again!
Signed my girl up for classes at Achievers Arts, and I’m really happy with the experience so far. The staff were very friendly, patient, and helpful. They explained everything in detail and made me feel comfortable from the start.
What I really like about this art class is that they genuinely focus on teaching proper sketching, drawing foundations, and techniques, not just simple colouring activities. You can tell they are serious about helping children build real art skills step by step.
Most importantly, my girl truly enjoys attending the class, which makes me very happy as a parent. Looking forward to seeing her improve more here!
I have been sending my elder daughter to their holiday camps. And now my younger one is joining in the fun as well as I sign them up for regular lessons. I can see there are some areas that the teacher helped with their work (due to their age) but they let the kids do enough that they are able to feel the sense of achievement. Both of them liked the teachers and they feel proud of their work after each lesson.
My child recently attended a trial lesson at Achievers and absolutely enjoyed it! The teacher was patient, engaging, and made the lesson interesting and interactive. The class environment felt positive and encouraging, which helped my child feel comfortable right away.

Just completed my essential water colour painting class for urban sketchers. Jeff is a very pleasant n merticulous teacher who goes in all ways to explain in simplified detailed manner on water colour painting concepts. Each lesson comes with our actual practice session too. Highly recommend any beginners like me to attend his lessons.
I got to know of Jeffrey’s watercolour course through words of mouth. My cousin introduced it to me during a family gathering.
I’m thankful to have Jeffrey as our instructor. He is knowledgeable, kind, patient and is so willing to pass on what he knows to others. Lessons are comprehensive and the learners will also learn about the basic of colour theory other than watercolour techniques.
From this course, I have more confidence to paint freely and explore art. Thank you for doing what you do!
Just finished Watercolour Essential Course with Jeff & really happy to learn so much. Jeff curated the course to be very organised & systematic. From painting cubes to building, circles to trees. He used cotton wools on acrylic plate to illustrate clouds to us. He opened our eyes to things around us which allows us to visualise how to paint. We progress from zero to painting outdoors.
This is a course that has given me a good grounding in the fundamentals of water colour which I was unable to grasp from various other water colour classes. Jeffrey's teaching is well structured with clear deliveries and effective practicals. I enjoyed the sessions and the good company of course mates.
