Choosing the right Math tuition can sometimes feel harder than solving the questions themselves. Many Singapore parents are trying to figure out whether their child needs help rebuilding Lower Secondary foundations, keeping up with faster school pacing, or getting focused support for E Math and A Math before major exams. Some children understand the concepts but still lose marks through careless working. Others seem fine at home, then freeze when the exam question looks unfamiliar. This guide rounds up 10 secondary Math tuition centres in Singapore, plus a home tuition option, so you can compare teaching style, class format, locations, pricing, and the kind of support each provider offers. If you are looking for secondary tuition that truly matches your child’s pace, learning style, and confidence level, this list gives you a clearer and less overwhelming place to start.
Key Takeaways
The best secondary Math tuition option depends on whether your child needs foundation repair, exam-focused drilling, or more personalised one-to-one guidance.
Different secondary tuition centres offer very different setups, from small-group classroom teaching to home tuition and online lessons.
When comparing Math tuition centres, look beyond fees and consider class size, teaching clarity, question practice, location, and how well the programme fits your child’s syllabus.
MindFlex – Your Best Platform for secondary Math Home Tuition
Overview of Business
MindFlex Tuition Agency is a Singapore home tuition agency that helps parents find suitable tutors for secondary Math tuition without the usual stress of searching on their own. Rather than running a fixed classroom programme, MindFlex matches families with one-to-one tutors who can teach at home or online, depending on your schedule and preference. This can be especially helpful for secondary students who are weak in algebra, struggling to keep up with a faster school pace, or needing targeted help for Sec 3 to Sec 4 E Math and A Math. Because MindFlex works with a large tutor network, parents can request a tutor based on budget, location, lesson timing, tutor profile, and learning needs. The matching service is free for clients, which makes it a practical starting point for families who want personalised secondary Math tuition support before committing.
Why Parents Choose MindFlex?
Parents often turn to MindFlex when group classes are no longer enough, or when their child needs more direct attention. One-to-one tuition gives the tutor time to slow down, revisit weak topics, and correct working line by line, which really matters in secondary Math where small errors can quickly snowball. MindFlex also gives families flexibility to choose from part-time tutors, full-time tutors, or ex/current MOE teachers depending on budget and goals. For children juggling school, CCA, and homework, home or online lessons can save time and reduce the weekly rush. The fast matching process and 7-day coordinator support may also be especially useful for parents who need tuition arranged quickly after disappointing test results.
Excellent customer service from MindFlex Home Tuition Megan. She was very patient, responsive, and took the time to understand my child’s learning needs and goals before recommending a tutor. Megan provided suitable options and helped us find a good English tutor who matched my child’s learning style. The whole process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I appreciate her dedication and prompt follow-up throughout. Highly recommend Megan to parents looking for reliable support in finding the right tutor for their child.
I’m very grateful to MindFlex, especially Alyssa and her team, for their patience and dedication in helping to source a suitable tutor for my son.
This is the 2nd time I look for them to source a tutor. This time round I had more specific requirements, including the tutor’s age group, gender and most importantly, someone who is patient and able to communicate well with students who are weaker in Chinese. Alyssa and the team were understanding, responsive and professional throughout the entire process.
They took the effort to carefully match a tutor who suits my son’s learning needs and personality. I truly appreciate their commitment and excellent service. Highly recommended for parents looking for reliable and attentive tuition support!
I’m very happy with the tutoring service arranged by Alyssa and her team. Both tutors (Xinbo and Ban Cheng) have been great and my child really enjoys the lessons with them. We can already see some improvement, which is very encouraging.
Thank you for being so responsive and helpful throughout the arrangement process. Really appreciate the support and would definitely recommend them to other parents looking for reliable tutors.
Alyssa is a very supportive and reliable coordinator. She helped me secure Tamil tuition assignments smoothly and always communicates clearly and promptly. She is professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. I truly appreciate her effort in matching suitable students and providing assistance when needed. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to working with her again in the future. Radah Kasiramu
Being a tutor, I would like to sincerely thank MindFlex teams for the consistent support and assistance in helping me secure tuition assignments. I truly appreciate the effort of the agents, particularly Cassandra, Alyssa, Megan, Jerlyn and Jane, who put in great effort into the coordination with tutors and parents.
The agents have always been professional and helpful throughout the process. Their support and dedication have made it much easier for me to find suitable students and successfully close assignments.
It is definitely a pleasant experience working with MindFlex. I look forward to work together on more assignments in the future!

My girl especially enjoy the fun challenge of doing the maths questions together. Thanks to Teacher Lay Chin, my daugther''s results improved from F to A in 3 months!! I will strongly recommend Teacher Lay Chin.
It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.
Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.

1. Smartlab Education Centre
Overview of Business
SmartLab Education Centre is an established tuition provider that has supported Singapore students since 1999. Its Secondary Math programmes cover Lower Secondary Mathematics, G2 and G3 Mathematics, E Math and A Math, with lessons aligned to the latest MOE syllabus. SmartLab focuses on building core concepts, critical thinking and problem-solving skills before guiding students towards examination-level application. Complex topics are broken into structured, manageable steps so learners can understand the reasoning behind each method instead of memorising formulas. Students also receive targeted practice and revision to strengthen accuracy, confidence and exam readiness. With several branches and experienced full-time teachers, SmartLab provides structured Mathematics support for students across different secondary levels and academic needs.
Why Parents Choose Smartlab Education Centre?
Parents may choose SmartLab because its Secondary Math programme combines decades of experience with personalised and syllabus-aligned teaching. Tutors identify learning gaps, simplify difficult concepts and provide structured practice based on each student’s progress. The focus on both conceptual understanding and problem-solving can help learners who know formulas but struggle to apply them in unfamiliar questions. SmartLab also reports that 85% of its Mathematics students improve by at least one grade. Multiple branches and varied class schedules make regular lessons more convenient for families seeking consistent secondary Mathematics support.
The lessons are well structured and teachers are open to consultations! After doing some research, smartlab is the most cost efficient in terms of price and quality, with lab provided and up to date teaching. If you are looking for structure and support even with 0 experience, this is the best place to consider imo.Smartlab also has a diverse student pool so study environment wise,it would require more adaptability and flexibility! Personally,I had to take on a new Alevel subject as a private candidate but I was able to manage thanks to Smartlab. Thank you to all the teachers who remained encouraging throughout this journey!
My daughter joined smartlab to prepare for O-levels, she took Science (Chemistry, Biology) and English at the centre. It was months of their guidance, termly assessments and feedbacks from teachers in preparation for the Os. She was able to get A2 in Science. The reward she gets from Smartlab every time she gets an A for the Science term assessment added to her motivation. 😁 She said that she was relying on the notes given to her by her teacher towards the exams and she was so thankful of it that she decided to keep all of it if she may need it in the future. She is so thankful to her teachers in Science, I am so thankful to them as well for keeping her more interested in the subject that she loves and helping her excel on it. As for English she may have not got better result that she wanted still thankful she was able to get passing grade for it.
This is from a parent’s perspective. It was not an easy decision to have my daughter retake her o levels because of the stigma of wasting another year. I knew and so did my daughter from before her prelims that aiming for the result she wanted to get into a school of her choice would be quite impossible. I already started thinking of alternatives and by God’s grace I found out about SmartLab Private School and had a long chat with Tony. After that the path was clear and even when the results were not out, my daughter was registered at the school. 1 year later, the results speak for itself. No tuition this time! Chloe won 2 awards for good performance as well! SmartLab is more than a school, it is a place for those who want direct their own direction in life. Thank you SmartLab for being the light in our lives when we most needed it.
I had a blast the past year studying at smartlab! Every teacher was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Any part of the syllabuses that I did not understand would be explained to me with patience and repeatedly if necessary without them showing any sign of frustration! Texting the teachers was always recommended if clarification on topics was needed. The classrooms were all kept clean and the teachers always came prepared and well equipped for upcoming lessons. They provided us with ample notes and practice papers to ensure no gap in knowledge whatsoever. Thank you to Mr Tay Tien Kiat, Mr Tan Wei Ee, Mr Collin Lim and Principal of the SmartLab Mr Tony Tan for their guidance and support throughout the year! Highly recommended for those considering taking A levels for the first time and for retakers as well!😊
I enrolled at Smartlab last year to prepare for my O Levels as a private candidate at the age of 24. Back when I was 17, I took my N Levels and completely flunked them. I had no interest in studying at all. My grades were English (4), History (Absent) and the rest ungraded (Math, Science, POA). Fast forward to last year, after studying with Smartlab, my O Level results were English (A2), Humanities (Social Studies + History) (B4), Business Studies (B3) and POA (B3). Although I didn’t manage to pass Math (D7), I think I did pretty well considering I hadn’t studied for almost 8 years. Smartlab’s teachers and teaching strategies were very effective, they managed to cover about four years’ worth of content in less than a year. Their resources and structured approach really helped me regain my confidence in studying. Special thanks to Mr. Collin, who taught me English, Social Studies and History. He’s extremely encouraging, patient and always willing to help. I often texted him late at night with questions and he would always reply quickly. Overall, Smartlab’s teaching methods, materials and supportive teachers made a huge difference in my learning journey. I’m very thankful for their guidance and would highly recommend Smartlab to anyone preparing for their O Levels.
Smartlab has truly helped me achieve my dreams! When I joined, I was determined to do well for my O-Levels, and thanks to the supportive teachers and their effective teaching methods, I was able to reach my goals. The environment was always encouraging, and the teachers genuinely cared about helping every student succeed.
Because of the foundation I built at Smartlab, I’m now pursuing my Diploma in Criminology at a private academy — something I’ve always been passionate about. I’m really grateful for the guidance, motivation, and belief that Smartlab gave me throughout my journey.
Thank you, Smartlab, for being such an important part of my success and for always reminding your students to believe in themselves! 🙏🎓✨
Thank you so much, SmartLab, for giving me a second chance to redeem myself for my O-Levels and allowing me to pass all my subjects with flying colours. My chemistry especially, have improved tremendously, from E8 to A2!! After many negative experiences in my former school, SmartLab completely changed my perspective on studying and learning.
The teachers here are incredibly kind, patient, and dedicated — they take the time to explain every concept clearly until you truly understand it. They never make you feel judged or left behind, and their encouragement really motivated me to keep going. You can also approach the teachers anytime after class if you still have any doubts. They also provide really good notes and you even get to do hands-on practice for your Science practical at their lab!
The learning environment is also very conducive — quiet, comfortable, and filled with people who genuinely want to learn and improve themselves. I always felt supported not only academically but also emotionally, which made a huge difference in my confidence and attitude toward my studies.
I’m truly grateful for everything SmartLab has done for me. It’s not just a tuition centre — it’s a place that helped me rebuild my self-belief and rediscover the joy of learning. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to do well and feel supported along the way!

Zenith Education Studio is a large multi-branch tuition provider offering programmes across Primary, Secondary, IP, and Junior College, with a strong secondary Math tuition offering for both Lower Secondary Math and Upper Secondary E Math and A Math. Since 2019, they have grown across Singapore and built a reputation around structured pedagogy, curated notes, and a student-focused environment. For secondary students, this can matter when school Math starts to feel increasingly abstract and exam-heavy, especially once algebra, trigonometry, and A Math topics begin to pile up. Zenith combines classroom teaching with additional consultations and online support, which may help children who need reinforcement outside weekly class time. Their broader scale also means families may have an easier time finding a nearby branch. If you want a secondary Math tuition centre with a polished system, multiple subjects, and a strong academic culture, Zenith is a serious option to compare.
Why Parents Choose Zenith Education Studio?
Parents often look for two things in Math tuition, clear teaching and consistency. Zenith’s appeal lies in turning difficult content into structured notes, guided problem-solving, and focused exam thinking, rather than leaving children to figure patterns out on their own. This can be especially helpful for students who know the chapter but still cannot handle unfamiliar school questions. Their capped class sizes and free consultations may also reassure parents whose child tends to stay quiet in larger classes. On top of that, the wide branch network makes sticking to a weekly secondary tuition routine much easier for busy families.
If you asked me what it means to be a bubbly, food loving critic that is competent and skilled in teaching Chemistry, there’s only one name that comes to mind. OSN - Ong Shi Neng ☃️
Since the first lesson he has been relentless in ensuring quality education, good eats and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Chemistry in Zenith for the past 1.5 years have truly been like no other. The teachers are caring and helpful, reassuring us that we are prepared, organising 24 hour zooms the night before, just so we can feel a bit more secure the day before the exam. It is no surprise that he is one of Zenith’s most beloved tutors. #Notfreepromo Join Zenith for the most fun experience. Coming back to edit this review Once i bag that A! 🦦🦦🦦🦦
I attended Chenfang's E-Math classes from Sec 3 to 4 and it really was an amazing experience to be learning with her!
In Sec 4, I jumped from a C6 for Prelims to a B3 for O's, something I thought I wouldn't be able to achieve. Chenfang helped me to understand what my weak points were through weekly assessments and so I improved steadily. Her classes are also really fun since she makes sure that we are not just studying but enjoying the process! The worksheets at Zenith also helped a lot as there were many diverse types of questions that helped with gradual and thorough understanding, with extras for practice at home! The snacks were also a real help for staying focused in class 🙂
I joined Nick's class in sec 3 for physics and he has helped me get good grades for physics throughout my upper sec and eventually get a1 for o levels. Without Nick I do not think I would have achieved such a good score. He is a very good teacher and makes lessons feel fun and explains concepts very well, I have not been lost or confused once in his lessons throughout my two years with him. I look forward to his classes every week and he made me fall in love with physics.😍😍 He also helps me with physics questions outside of lesson time when I whatsapp him especially when I was preparing for my exams.👍👍👍
I attended Nicholas Koh’s classes when I realised I was failing Chemistry and Physics in my Sec 3 WA2s. He helped pull my grades up from an F9 to an A2 for my O Levels! I truly appreciate his help so much. He is understanding, yet he also challenges me and strongly believes in my potential. His lessons are unlike those of other tutors who simply spoon-feed information instead, he makes sure new concepts are thoroughly drilled into your head so you truly understand them. Thank you Nick you genuinely changed my life. You’re the best!
I was a J2 student taking H2 physics under duncan!! Duncan is honestly one of the best physics tutors I’ve ever had. He answers my questions incredibly fast and always makes sure I fully understand the concepts before moving on. You can tell he really puts in the effort. tbh it feels like he works around the clock just to help his students. He’s super helpful, patient, and you can clearly see that he genuinely loves what he does. Highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve in physics!
Because of laychuns lessons, I feel more confident in econs and I have improved in applying concepts on my own. He is patient, encouraging and genuinely wants his students to do better. Lessons are productive and I always end up learning something useful.
Shi neng has made chem very fun and enjoyable for me, this has made chem seem so much easier in school. He explains concepts very clearly and his lessons are very engaging!
Overall, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to improve and understand the subject better.
Shi Neng chemistry class is so good. Like everyone around me keeps saying chemistry is so hard and honestly I did find Chem hard before joining zenith Chem. However, after I went for June trial for energetics I realised how simple Chem is. Especially he helped me so much in organiche Chem by covering all the foundations and the small tiny details! I rlly recommend this class and I have gotten A /B throughout the time I have been with zenith. It’s also very fun cause he has a sense of humour HAHA !
My time at zenith has been really wonderful and really enjoyable. My chemistry tutor , Shi Neng has been really helpful at helping me understand H2 chemistry and making the journey more fun and bearable. Even with simple and obvious questions , Shi Neng has always been patient and really helpful with explaining chemistry concepts! Even with welfare he has always been very generous and thoughtful. TLDR he is a very thoughtful teacher and I wish I would have joined earlier 😭😭 676767

Max Edge Learning Centre is a long-running Math-focused tuition provider in Tampines that serves students from Primary up to Junior College, with relevant secondary Math tuition options from Sec 1 through Sec 4 for both E Math and A Math. The teaching is closely associated with Mr Gary, whose style is often described as patient, engaging, and effective at simplifying difficult concepts. That matters because many secondary students do not actually dislike Math, they dislike the feeling of being lost after one or two weak chapters. Max Edge teaches topics from scratch and often slightly ahead of the school pace, using structured worksheets and regular practice to build readiness before class tests and exams arrive. For East-side families who want a subject-specialist Math setup with a more personal feel, this secondary Math tuition centre is well worth a look, especially if your child needs clarity and routine rather than flashy extras.
Why Parents Choose Max Edge Learning Centre?
Parents may be drawn to Max Edge when their child needs patient rebuilding rather than pressure. Teaching topics from scratch can be valuable for students who have quietly accumulated gaps over months and are now simply trying to cope in school. The strong emphasis on revision and exam-set questions may also suit children who know the formulas but cannot apply them under timed conditions. Another practical plus is approachability. When students feel embarrassed by weak marks, they often stop asking questions in school. A tutor who is willing to explain again, and again if needed, can make a real difference to confidence as well as marks.
thank you Mr Gary for all the guidance in sec 4. I was quite lost and dejected after my poor performance in both maths in sec 3. Mr Gary helped me refine my fundamentals, motivated me to do constant revision, and helped me to gain a sense of confidence. After a year of hard work, I am delighted to have greatly improved to an a1 in emaths and a2 in amaths. i am very grateful to have Mr Gary as a tutor and will be looking forward to continuing my tuition in jc 😃
Mr Gary helped me greatly to boost my amath from a D7 to an A2. His humour keeps the classroom an engaging and fun place to learn, driving me to show up. His realistic and in-depth style of teaching is perfect for instilling the correct skills and content without anything unnecessary clouding the mind. I strongly recommend this tuition for all amath students as the constant practice keeps skills sharp.
Mr Gary's lessons are very entertaining as he makes Math fun to learn. Thanks to his constant encouragement and support, I managed to score 2 distinctions for Emath and Amath in the span of half a year from F9! His lessons are very helpful, thank you Mr Gary!
Mr. Gary is an adept teacher who knows his subject well, and can explain methods to his students in a clear manner. He is also able to make the lessons lively to better communicate concepts. He’s kind and understanding. I have him to thank for my A1 in Additional Mathematics.
I was a struggling student who attended Mr Gary’s A Math and E Math lessons from 2024-2025. Initially, it took me a while to understand key concepts in both Secondary One & Secondary Two and I was always average in class. After attending Mr Gary’s lessons, everything became so much clearer and I managed to top my class for every math-related assessment ever since. Super thankful and grateful towards Mr Gary. Legit best cher ever!

Teaching Methodology
Lessons provide regular weekly Math practice through 2-hour sessions.
Topics are taught from scratch, which may help children whose foundation has already weakened.
In-house structured worksheets focus on exam-oriented questions rather than random practice.
Difficult concepts are explained in simpler terms before the child is pushed into harder questions.
Teaching often moves slightly ahead of school, which can reduce the panic of first exposure in class.
Online lessons are available, helping students maintain continuity when schedules become tight.
Location and Availability

Price Range
Monthly fees start from $210 for Sec 1 Math, $220 for Sec 2 Math, $230 for Sec 3 E Math or A Math, and $240 for Sec 4 E Math or A Math. Families taking both E Math and A Math can also benefit from a 5% discount.
The Science Academy may be best known for Science, but they also offer secondary Math tuition and are one of the more structured multi-subject academic providers for families who prefer one place for both Math and Science support. Their Math programmes cover Lower Secondary Math, E Math, and A Math, alongside a wider range of secondary science subjects. For parents, this can be helpful when Math struggles do not happen in isolation. A child who feels overwhelmed by formulas, graphs, and application questions may need support across more than one subject. The Science Academy places emphasis on curriculum planning, low teacher-to-student ratios, and a 24/7 e-learning library, which may appeal to families who want a blend of in-class guidance and after-class revision tools. With physical branches and online options, they offer flexibility while keeping a fairly academic and exam-conscious structure for secondary tuition.
Why Parents Choose The Science Academy?
Parents may choose The Science Academy because the Math support does not stop when class ends. The e-learning library can be especially useful for children who need to revisit a topic more than once before it clicks, which is very common in secondary Math. Their lower teacher-to-student ratio may also matter for students who get lost easily in bigger classes but do not need full one-to-one tuition. Another strength is the ahead-of-school curriculum approach. For some children, seeing a chapter before it appears in school lowers anxiety and makes school lessons feel more like reinforcement than first-time exposure under pressure.
Mr Yu is an excellent Chemistry tutor who makes learning both enjoyable and effective. His lessons are engaging and go beyond regular tuition, as he takes time to help us with school questions we struggled with. He explains concepts in a way that is easy to understand and ensures we truly grasp the underlying ideas. His encouragement and guidance have really strengthened my foundation in Chemistry and boosted my performance in class.
Mr Teng’s Physics lessons are always engaging and insightful. He goes beyond standard tuition by not only teaching the syllabus thoroughly but also helping us tackle questions we didn’t understand in school. His explanations are clear and detailed, making even the toughest topics easier to grasp. Thanks to his patience and dedication, I’ve gained more confidence in Physics and developed a stronger interest in the subject.
I have been with TSA for 2 years and Mr Teo is a dedicated teacher who explains concepts to students well. Lessons are interesting as he shares his experiences and he provides feedback, both academic and non-academic, to help us with our future as we grow older. I am now more confident when doing Physics questions, highly recommended.
I have been in Mr Teng's physics class since Sec 2, and i would just like to commend his multitalented adaptability, humour, as well as his absolutely boundless patience in his willingness to explain concepts and questions however many times we may need, and even going above and beyond to link certain points of confusion to other common misconceptions that we need to take note of. On my favourite chicken rearer -- Runxing's -- life, I feel tremendously enlightened with every lesson. Some mornings I walk into the centre feeling like one of three smelly cobblers, and yet I'd leave feeling like the ancient chinese strategist Zhugeliang with the sheer amount of physics knowledge that Mr Teng has siphoned into my cranium. Moreover, with simple, logical explanations and analogies, i find abstract concepts such as electricity easy to understand and memorise. For example, I was tearing my hair out, using the long way to determine the force exerted by two wires on each other as their currents travelled into the paper, when just then, the angellic voice of Mr Teng rang out in the classroom that 'gay wires attract' and I had a revelation on the joys of electricity in that very moment. All in all, I'm very satisfied with my experience in TSA with Mr Teng as my teacher, and highly reccomend his lessons to straggling souls in need, and those of superior knowledge sinultaneously.
Mr Yu has helped me have a deeper understanding of various chemistry and biology concepts. his enthusiasm and jokes keeps classes engaging and interesting, helping me to stay focused. Even though i haven’t been with the centre for long, i have really enjoyed the lessons that i’ve had here and i can see some progress in my sciences!
mr yu has helped me understand chemistry using countless effective strategies and mnemonics that make learning a lot more enjoyable. he readily cracks jokes during lessons which makes the learning process fun and I went from hating and knowing nothing about chemistry to loving every chapter of it. I joined in 2025 as a secondary 4 student and ever since then, my grades went from E8 to B4. I'm grateful for mr yu and tsa for serving as a safe space for me to learn as well as have fun!

Matrix Math is a Mathematics specialist with multiple branches, offering programmes from primary through Secondary 4, including secondary Math tuition for Sec 1, O Level E Math, and O Level A Math. Their brand is built around a structured curriculum and a proprietary approach known as the Matrix Method, designed to help students break down difficult problems more systematically. For secondary students, this can matter when they are no longer losing marks because of simple arithmetic mistakes, but because they do not know how to begin an unfamiliar question. Matrix Math also appears to place strong emphasis on feedback, repetition, and communication with parents, which may appeal to families who want clearer visibility on progress instead of waiting for the next report book surprise. With many branches available, they are one of the more convenient Math tuition centres for parents who are prioritising accessibility alongside a Math-only academic focus.
Why Parents Choose Matrix Math?
Parents often choose Matrix Math for its structured style and broad branch network. The real advantage is not just convenience, but consistency. When a child struggles with secondary Math, random practice rarely solves the problem. They need repeated exposure to the right question types, clear heuristics, and feedback on why their approach went wrong. Matrix Math’s systematic method may suit children who become discouraged when they cannot see patterns in algebraic or word-based problems. Small classes can also make a difference for those who need closer attention but are still comfortable learning in a group rather than through one-to-one tuition.
My child has been with Matrix Math since P2 and we are grateful to have Teacher Liwen to teach my boy in P3. Teacher Liwen is very patient and caring and my son loves to go for her class and will diligently finish the homework every week. We will also receive a weekly update on my child progress which helps us to work on the weaker areas. We hope Teacher Liwen will continue teaching my boy! 🙂
Teacher Liwen is attentive and patient with my daughter. She is also responsible in offering updates and customised feedback. I’m so blessed to have Teacher Liwen in charge of my daughter’s maths class.
My kid has been in Matrix Maths for a few months and I can see that she has developed an interest for maths through these lessons. She adores Teacher Liwen, so thank you Teacher Liwen for sparking her interest in maths! My kid enjoys doing the materials given as homework, perhaps partly also due to the materials being colourful and engaging.
We are very thankful to Matrix Maths and especially Teacher Apple for their dedication and support. My child achieved AL2 for PSLE Maths, and we truly believe the guidance here played a big role in this result.
Teacher Apple is patient, encouraging, and very clear in her explanations. She helped my child build strong foundations and confidence, and we could see steady improvement over time. The centre is organised, responsive, and truly cares about each student’s progress.
Highly recommended for any parent looking for structured, effective, and caring maths support. Thank you, Matrix Maths and Teacher Apple, for your hard work and commitment! 🙏📚✨
My daughter has been attending Matrix Maths (Bedok branch) for the past 2 years. She enjoyed the lessons and learnt alot from Teacher Jeanne! Teacher Jeanne is a very patient, approachable and nice teacher! She made the effort to provide updates in every lesson and forged good relationship with the students. I would highly recommend to attend Teacher Jeanne's classes!
I’ve had a wonderful experience with this math tuition centre. The environment is supportive, structured, and genuinely focused on helping students improve and my son looks forward to lessons every week.
I would especially like to commend Teacher Jeanne. Her dedication, patience, and ability to break down difficult concepts have made a huge difference. She takes the time to keep me updated on my son’s progress, ensure he understands the lesson and feel confident before moving on. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve seen real improvement and growing confidence in my son’s math.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for effective, quality math support!
My son enjoys his classes in Matrix Math. He says Teacher Liwen makes the math topics interesting and engaging. He has become more confident and has started to love math. I’m very happy to see his progress and enthusiasm
My children have seen strong improvement in their Maths under the guidance of Teacher Yi Sheng. He is very patient and clear in his explanation, makes time for questions, gives the needed attention for improvement. One of my children scored A1 in his lower secondary exams. The resources provided by Maths Matrix through additional worksheets, school exam papers and weekly video reviews are extremely helpful. Course administrators are efficient, making it easy for parents. Big kudos to the Maths Matrix team!
This is a great place for learning maths! The tutors are very good at explaining things clearly and making difficult topics easy to understand. They are patient and always willing to help.
The classes are also small so students get lots of attention. Sometimes tutors will give feedback which helps me understand on how to assist my children to practice at home.
Since enrolling my children I’ve seen improvement in their foundation and grades! I highly recommend this tuition centre to anyone who wants to do better in maths!
Lastly we would like to thank Ms Liwen, Ms Jeanne, Ms Carolle and Ms Rachael for all your hard work! We really appreciate everything you do.

Small class sizes allow teachers to give more individualised guidance during problem-solving.
The Matrix Method is used to help children approach difficult questions in a more structured way.
Teaching is tailored to students’ weaker areas rather than using the same pace for everyone.
Constant repetition of key concepts may help children who forget methods soon after learning them.
Homework and additional worksheets provide continued practice beyond lesson time.
Teachers give constructive feedback and may update parents on the child’s progress.
Weekly video reviews support revision at home, which can help with retention before school tests.
Location and Availability
Matrix Math has multiple locations across Singapore, including Marine Parade, Bedok, Queenstown, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Yishun, Bukit Batok, Clementi, Jurong East, Bukit Timah, Toa Payoh, and Bukit Panjang. This wide spread may be especially helpful for parents trying to fit secondary tuition into an already packed weekly routine.
Price Range
Published pricing for regular secondary Math tuition is limited, but families can expect some programme-specific fees such as $710 for Secondary 4 review lessons. As a multi-branch specialist Math provider, Matrix Math may still be worth shortlisting if location and structured teaching matter more to you than having a fully published fee table upfront.
Indigo Education Centre is an MOE-registered tuition provider with a strong academic reputation in Secondary and Junior College education, making it especially relevant for parents comparing serious secondary tuition centres rather than general enrichment brands. Their secondary Math tuition offering covers Sec 1 to Sec 2 G3 Math, IP Math, and Additional Math, and they position their programmes around structured pedagogy, specialist teaching teams, and measurable academic progress. For families, that may matter because secondary Math often becomes a cumulative problem. A child may cope in Sec 1, slide in Sec 2, and then really feel the impact once Upper Secondary content demands stronger algebraic reasoning. Indigo’s system appears designed to support that progression through updated materials, tiered practice, and level-specific teaching. With multiple centres across Singapore and a strong focus on secondary outcomes, they are a solid option for parents seeking long-term academic support.
Why Parents Choose Indigo Education Centre?
Indigo may appeal to parents who want a more structured and outcome-driven secondary Math tuition setup. One practical advantage is that they separate programmes by level and stream, which matters because Lower Secondary G3 Math, IP Math, and Upper Secondary A Math do not require the same pace or depth of teaching. Their specialist-only teaching model may also reassure parents who worry about generic tutors stretching themselves across too many subjects and levels. The wider support system, including parent updates, worked solutions, and consultations, can also reduce tension at home. When a child is already frustrated by Math, parents usually need clearer guidance, not just more worksheets.
Mr Peng is a really cool and interesting teacher who has helped me raise my math grades to a consistent a1 and made the subject one that I enjoy. He teaches us helpful tricks to tackle tricky questions and makes sure that his lessons are engaging and fun. Really thankful to have such a great math teacher who has taught me to love the subject other than just getting good grades! 😀
Mr Peng is a very patient and skilled teacher. His lessons are very interesting and he has shown many ways and tips to solve difficult questions. For myself, even though I started his tuition with a single digit score, he was always more than happy to guide me through questions and ensure that i understood my mistakes. He is also like a buddy to me, therefore his lessons were always very comfortable and enjoyable ! I am super thankful to have him as a tuition teacher and helping me regain my confidence in math !
The lessons were very detailed and it definitely improved my grades for additional math . He taught us well and is very caring too . Mr Peng has been very caring during lessons and he is very passionate when teaching. He has helped me gain more confidence in Mathematics and also made me like math. His classes were engaging and i would recommend people to join his classes!
Mr Peng has never failed to show care and concern for his students throughout the time I've been with him. On top of the comprehensive and extensive resources he provides, he prepares for his lessons well and comes up with interesting ways to help his students understand difficult concepts. His friendly and approachable character allows students to approach him easily, making tuition conducive for learning.
Mr Peng is a passionate and confident teacher. With his strong background, he is able to get his point across very easily. The way he teaches is in depth but yet easy to understand, making learning that much efficient and faster. Outside of class, Mr Peng cares for our well being and ensures we are coping well with our life, even more so than our school teachers. He has been a fantastic role model and an even better teacher. Without his guidance and teachings, it would have been difficult to score in my exams.

Sirius Math is a Mathematics-focused tuition provider offering classes from Primary 3 to Secondary 4, including secondary Math tuition for Sec 1 to Sec 4, E Math, and A Math. Their positioning is straightforward, small-group classes, step-by-step teaching, and close alignment with the MOE syllabus. For parents, that simplicity can actually be a strength. Some children do not need a highly branded or multi-subject environment. They simply need a calm place where someone will explain the chapter clearly, reinforce the basics, and give enough practice for confidence to grow. Sirius Math also places emphasis on mock exams, review sessions, and additional consultation support, which may appeal to families whose child seems to understand during class but falls apart under exam timing. If your priority is a dedicated Math tuition centre with a small-group format and a supportive atmosphere, Sirius Math is worth comparing.
Why Parents Choose Sirius Math?
Parents may like Sirius Math because the setup feels built for children who need confidence as much as content. Secondary Math can become emotionally draining when a child keeps seeing red marks even after trying. A small class with patient explanations and structured working can help reduce that shutdown response. Their emphasis on mock papers and error analysis is also useful because many children think they have a “Math problem” when they actually have a pattern-recognition or exam-timing problem. For students who are anxious, disorganised, or easily discouraged, a warm environment combined with methodical teaching can be more helpful than simply pushing harder.
My eldest girl joined Sirius Mathematics since Secondary 1 as it is near her secondary school. It has been a very good decision for us. SM has helped her consistently maintain her A1 grade every year, and we are very thankful for that. She even scored full marks for her Secondary 2 EOY last year! Very proud of her hahaha
She is now in Secondary 3 taking A Maths, and the teachers have guided her very well through the tougher concepts. What really impressed us is that the school is very good at spotting exam questions and trends. Many of the questions she practised were very similar in style and standard to what came out in school exams.
The environment is nice and conducive for studying, and the teachers are young, friendly and engaging. They are approachable and, most importantly, they really know how to teach. The fees are also quite reasonable for the quality provided.
Overall, we are very happy with her progress and experience. Highly recommended!
The transition from P4 to P5 math is not easy, but Sirius Mathematics has made it smooth and enjoyable for my son. Their worksheets and materials are top notch, and the teachers are patient and supportive. Thanks to their guidance, he managed to score 28/30 for his WA, a huge improvement from his previous scores around 20–22/30, and his Primary 4 EOY score of 67/100. I especially appreciate the free consultation sessions where he can get help with any school questions. He also loves the free-flow snack bar and has made many friends there. The friendly teachers and welcoming environment make it feel like a second school for him. Highly recommended!
We’re truly very grateful to the school. My child scored A1 for both Elementary Math and Additional Math at O-Levels 🎉, and we couldn’t be happier.
A Math had been a real struggle since Secondary 3. There were moments when my child felt very discouraged and even doubted whether an A was possible. But the teachers patiently rebuilt the foundation, clarified confusing concepts, and provided consistent, structured practice. Slowly but surely, everything started to make sense.
The materials are extremely well prepared and very aligned with O-Level standards. The teachers are also very experienced in identifying common O-Level question types and guiding students on how to approach them strategically. Their explanations are clear, systematic and easy to follow, truly top notch.👏
Most importantly, my child regained confidence in Mathematics. We’re very thankful for the dedication and support. Highly recommended for parents looking for strong guidance in both E Math and A Math. 👍
We are extremely grateful to the school. My daughter scored AL1 for her PSLE Mathematics, after starting at AL4 just half a year earlier. The teachers helped her improve by three grade bands within a short period of time, and we are truly touched by the progress she has made.
I used to struggle teaching her maths at home, but the school’s structured guidance helped her develop a genuine understanding of the concepts and master effective exam strategies. More importantly, she has grown to enjoy mathematics and gained much more confidence in the subject.
Highly recommended for parents residing in Tampines. The teachers are experienced, patient and very dedicated.
Very pleased with Sirius Math, especially Ms Chang. After 1 term , my girl Math results improved from 20/30 to 29/30. The premises are new and the free flow of tidbits add the icing to the cake , always making my girl looking forward to the lessons !
I would like to thank Ms Chang for her exceptional teaching and dedication.
My daughter speaks highly of Ms Chang and blessed to be taught by her. Ms Chang explains complex concept clearly, patiently clears doubts, provides constructive feedback and invaluable advice.
Her efforts, patience and commitment have made a significant difference in my daughter’s understanding and learning progress, especially the improvement in her recent exams, has been remarkable.
Many thanks to the admin team too for the great support and prompt assistance, always.
I would highly recommend Ms Chang & Sirius Mathematics.

Overmugged is a tuition provider that serves students from upper primary to Junior College, with relevant secondary Math tuition offerings for Lower Secondary Math, IP Math, Sec 4 E Math, and Sec 4 A Math. Their brand leans into high-energy teaching, targeted exam preparation, and a lively student community rather than a more traditional quiet tuition model. For some families, that can be a meaningful difference. A child who has mentally checked out of Math may respond better to lessons that feel engaging and human instead of yet another dry academic session after a full school day. Overmugged also places weight on consultations, tutor support, and dedicated class time for answering techniques, which matters because many secondary students lose marks not only from weak concepts but from poor interpretation of exam questions. If your child needs motivation alongside Mathematical support, this is one to consider.
Why Parents Choose Overmugged?
Parents may choose Overmugged when their child needs a stronger reset in attitude, not just another stack of notes. Math tuition can backfire if a child feels constantly judged or overwhelmed. Overmugged’s more approachable and community-driven environment may help some students open up and participate again. Their exam-focused structure also matters. In secondary Math, children often know more than their grades suggest, but they misread wording, rush steps, or fail to spot common question patterns. A tuition setup that explicitly teaches answering techniques and offers tutor consultations may help close that gap between what they know and what they finally score.
Tutor explained the science concepts very clearly making it very easy for me to understand. Tutor is engaging during class which helps to make lessons interesting. Revisions before EOY exam helped me to be prepared and confident to do well for Science.
As a parent, I’m deeply grateful for the help and guidance from Mr. Phua to my child who is doing IP3/4 Biology. He was able to understand her personality and learning challenges even before the first tuition session began. Despite the limited class availability, the opportunity he provided became a valuable stepping stone toward better grades.
My child always looks forward to her lessons here — it feels like a happy cave for her. To see her go from “Did I choose the wrong science subject?” to “Maybe one day I’ll become a biology teacher!” truly shows the positive impact Mr. Phua has had on his students.
Once again, thank you OM and Mr. Phua. I’m genuinely impressed and deeply appreciative.
I attended the Sec 3 EOY Intensive Revision for E and A math conducted by Mr Jason Yek. His lessons were engaging and he showed dedication in his teaching throughout the session. I learnt a lot from him and I’m very grateful for his time and effort. Highly recommended if anyone’s looking for an E or A math tutor.
I was happy to attend Ms Olivia’s September revision course as it helped me relearn stuff I wasn’t able to grasp in school (summary my OPP 😿) would recommend hehe

Habitat Learning Centre is a Novena-based tuition provider known for very small class sizes and a personalised teaching culture, with secondary Math tuition available for Lower Secondary Math, Upper Secondary E Math, and Upper Secondary A Math. They also support Science and JC subjects, but for parents searching specifically for Math tuition, one standout feature is the small-group format, often capped at around 4 to 6 students. That can make a meaningful difference for children who are quietly lost, easily distracted, or reluctant to ask questions in larger classes. Habitat also uses a structured K-D-C framework, focusing on knowledge, drill, and checks, which suits a subject like Math where understanding, repetition, and error correction all matter. For families who want close teacher attention and a more personal secondary Math tuition centre rather than a mass-class system, Habitat has strong appeal.
Why Parents Choose Habitat Learning Centre?
Habitat may suit parents whose child needs closer supervision than standard small-group tuition usually provides. In secondary Math, it is common for children to say they understand in class, only for their written steps to reveal major gaps. Habitat’s emphasis on checking every student’s work individually can be valuable because it catches weak reasoning early, before mistakes become habits. The very small class size may also benefit children who need repeated clarification without feeling embarrassed in front of a larger group. For parents who want more communication and a clearer sense of where their child is struggling, Habitat’s personalised setup stands out.
My son needed help for physics in Sec 4 last year. I googled and found Habitat, which was near my area. We decided to join and was taught by Teacher Eunice. My son felt that she and the other teachers were very approachable and therefore was able to help him better understand the concepts. I want to thank teacher Eunice and also Ms Song for your support and attention and best of all for delivering an A1 in physics for J 🙂
Around late 2019, I chanced upon Habitat Learning when I was looking around Novena area for tuition classes for my then Sec 1 daughter. I was hesitant about signing up initially but decided to give them a try in the end. Now looking back, it was certainly the right decision. My daughter received her O Level results today and she did very well overall and particularly in subjects that she had attended classes at Habitat. Ms Song and her team of teachers are genuinely passionate about teaching and helping their students do well in their studies. They are easy to communicate with and the environment is conducive. Would like to give special thanks to Teacher Leon for his great dedication and support for my daughter. I would not hesitate to recommend Habitat Learning to anyone who is looking for experienced and responsible educators to help them excel in their studies.
Updated Feb 2025: My daughter just got her A level results today and we are so happy that she did very well. She scored A for both Chemistry and Maths (subjects that she received enrichment at Habitat Learning Centre) and her result is the biggest testament to Ms Song and teacher Leon for their dedication as an educator. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the work that Ms Song and her team do at Habitat Learning Centre and I hope they continue to inspire and deliver success to every student there.
Our experience with Habitat Learning Centre has been nothing short of remarkable. My daughter, Vanessa Ow, attended their tuition courses in A-math, E-math, Physics, and Chemistry. Since enrolling, her grades have shown a tremendous improvement. Vanessa achieved A1 in A-math and A2 in E-math, Physics, and Chemistry, which is a testament to the centre's exceptional teaching standards.
Vanessa teachers at Habitat Learning Centre are truly dedicated and have a unique ability to inspire their students. Their commitment and passion for teaching have had a profound impact on Vanessa's academic journey. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for their hard work and dedication.
Thank you, Habitat Learning Centre, for your unwavering support and for making a significant difference in Vanessa's education. We highly recommend their services to any parent seeking quality tuition for their children.
The teachers are incredibly helpful, providing clear explanations and tailoring their ways of teaching to fit the students needs. Furthermore, Ms Song is friendly and is dedicated to helping students. Originally, I was struggling with Chemistry in Secondary 3 and got an F9 for my WA1. Fortunately, I was introduced by a friend to Habitat and with the help of my teachers(teacher Eunice and teacher Leon), whom which were attentive to my needs and even answered my questions after lesson hours, I was able to pull my grade to an A2 for my O levels.

Teaching Methodology
Classes are kept very small, often around 4 to 6 students, for closer teacher attention.
The K-D-C framework focuses on Knowledge, Drill, and Checks rather than relying on practice alone.
Concept teaching aims for genuine understanding, so children know why a method works.
Structured drill builds from easier questions to more demanding exam-standard application.
Teachers review student working individually, which may help uncover weak reasoning and presentation issues.
Diagnostic assessments can identify specific learning gaps before regular lessons begin.
For Math, lessons also focus on application and school-aligned progression rather than generic worksheet practice.

Apex Math tuition is a small-group specialist provider focused on Mathematics for secondary students, making it one of the most targeted options on this list for parents searching specifically for secondary Math tuition. Their programmes cover a range of secondary pathways, including O Level, IP, IB, GEP, N Level, and mainstream Secondary 1 to Secondary 5 Math. The teaching is led by Mr Alvin Au, a full-time Math tutor and published author with many years of tutoring experience. For families, this specialist model can be reassuring. Instead of splitting attention across many subjects, Apex is built around one area, helping children strengthen Mathematical foundations, close learning gaps, and handle more advanced questions with confidence. Class sizes are kept small, up to 6 students, which may suit children who need active participation and more direct correction without moving fully into one-to-one private tuition.
Why Parents Choose Apex Math tuition?
Parents may choose Apex Math tuition because it combines subject specialisation with close attention. Secondary Math often requires more than hearing an explanation once. Children need someone to spot exactly where their logic breaks down, whether in algebra manipulation, problem translation, or careless substitution. Mr Alvin Au’s focus on identifying foundational gaps may be helpful for students whose current marks are being dragged down by older weak topics they never properly mastered. The small-group format also creates room for interaction, which matters for children who learn better by discussing steps and getting immediate correction instead of passively listening through a large class.
We have been with Apex tuition for several years and have seen amazing results: our eldest child achieved A1 for A-Math in 2022, and our second daughter has just scored A1 for both E-Math and A-Math in the 2025 O-Levels!
We are incredibly grateful to Mr Alvin for his unwavering dedication and expertise. What truly stands out is the strong foundation built during the lessons; he ensures students deeply understand the concepts, not forgetting the activities and treats during the lessons that kept them motivated. Because of this, Math became my daughter's most confident and enjoyable subject, and she was well-prepared and calm when taking her O-Level Math last year. Thank you Mr Alvin.
Hands down best teacher ever. Not only does Mr Au teaches the solutions of the problem but also makes you understand it so it gets in your head forever and makes new questions easier to solve. Scored A1 for both E and A math from a fail:) also there’s free snacks every lesson!! And before my O levels Mr Au invited every sec4 student to come to the tuition centre for free from 9am-9pm to study, with lunch and dinner and koi given. Most passionate and generous teacher!!!
Mr Au's teaching style is truly the best out of all the tutors I have met. He teaches in a one-to-one style, going through each question with me individually and making sure I can understand before we move on to the next topic/question, and will slow down/speed up to match my pace. In Sec 3, I joined with an F9 for WA1 and was struggling to keep up but Mr Au went through the basics with me again until I understood fully. His worksheets are very useful, with questions of various difficulty and he teaches a lot of mnemonics/calculator tricks that my school teacher does not cover, which I find super unique as other tutors do not do so. He helped me to score a consistent A1-A2 during school tests for both Amath and Emath in Sec 4, and I eventually scored and A1 for Amath & A2 for Emath for the O-levels eventually. Mr Au is really an effective tutor that I would recommend to any student. Thank you Mr Au!!!!
Mr Au is a very meticulous and helpful teacher. We are extremely grateful that our boy Baron attended his lessons for the past 4 years leading up to his O levels. He ensures Baron understands the concept and with a small group size , he can more efficiently grasp the student's gaps in learning and introduce a tailored system for Baron.
More that just a teacher , Mr Au also imparts knowledge and gives guidance to Baron's growing years. His results improved a lot and obtained a B3 in O level which help contribute to him moving on to Polytechnic of his choice.
It has been a blessing for Baron to have such a passionate and caring educator.
the teacher is really helpful and patient, especially when im slow and didn’t dare to ask questions. he finds ways to get classes to be more interactive and tries to cater to every students’ pace by creating cards that we can flip when we want him to check our answers. His method of teaching is also really impressive, such that I got the concepts pretty easily within a few lessons and went from a D7 to an A1 on my class tests and Olevel Amath. He’s teaching more that he should, thank u cher!

How to Choose the Best Secondary Math Tuition for Your Child?
The best secondary Math tuition option is not always the most popular or the most intensive. Very often, it is simply the one that fits your child’s current gaps, learning temperament, and school demands. Before enrolling, it helps to compare a few practical points carefully, especially if you want the support to be sustainable over time.
Match the teaching format to your child, some children do better in small-group discussion classes, while others need one-to-one home tuition so they can ask questions more freely.
Check whether the programme fits the actual Math need, such as Lower Secondary foundation work, E Math exam readiness, A Math problem-solving, or IP pacing.
Look closely at the teaching approach, because clear step-by-step explanation, error correction, and meaningful practice usually matter more than flashy branding.
Consider tutor experience and class size, especially if your child is quiet, easily discouraged, or prone to repeated careless mistakes.
Factor in location, schedule, reviews, and budget, since even a strong secondary Math tuition centre is less helpful if the weekly routine becomes too tiring to maintain.
Every child responds differently to support, and that is exactly why comparing secondary tuition centres carefully matters. A good fit can improve not just marks, but also your child’s confidence, independence, and willingness to keep trying when Math gets harder.
