Free Request For Tuition

Primary 4 is often the stage when Maths starts to feel less straightforward for many children. Word problems become more layered, working backwards and fractions call for stronger logic, and some children who once seemed comfortable suddenly start hesitating, guessing, or making the same careless mistakes again and again. If you are comparing Primary 4 Math Tuition options in Singapore, the real question is not simply which class is popular, but which setup will suit your child’s pace, confidence level, and learning gaps. This guide rounds up 10 Primary 4 tuition centres and one home tuition platform for parents who want practical help choosing between group classes, specialist maths tuition, and personalised primary tuition support.

Key Takeaways

  • Good Primary 4 Math Tuition should strengthen problem-solving habits, not just help children do sums faster.
  • The best Primary 4 tuition centre for your child depends on class size, teaching style, location, and how much individual support they need.
  • Some families may prefer a primary maths tuition centre, while others may benefit more from one-to-one home tuition for closer guidance.

MindFlex – Your Best Platform for Primary 4 Math Home Tuition

MindFlex - Your Best Platform for Primary 4 Math Home Tuition

Overview of Business

MindFlex Tuition Agency is a Singapore-based home tuition agency that helps families find suitable one-to-one tutors for Primary 4 Math Tuition, either at home or online. Rather than running a fixed classroom programme, MindFlex matches parents with tutors based on the child’s level, learning pace, weaker topics, preferred schedule, location, and budget. This can be especially helpful for Primary 4 children who need step-by-step explanations, more practice with word problems, or patient correction of careless mistakes before those gaps grow bigger in Primary 5. MindFlex supports a wide range of learners across Singapore and gives parents access to a large tutor network, including part-time tutors, full-time tutors, and ex or current MOE teachers. For families who do not want the stress of searching tutor by tutor on their own, MindFlex offers a practical and convenient way to shortlist suitable Primary Maths tutors more quickly.

Why Parents Choose MindFlex?

Parents often turn to MindFlex when they want a more personalised Primary 4 tuition arrangement than a standard group class can provide. One-to-one lessons can move at the child’s pace, which really matters when a child takes longer to grasp methods, stays quiet in class, or keeps repeating the same Maths mistakes. MindFlex also suits busy families because lessons can be arranged at home or online, which helps cut down on travel time. Their free matching service makes it easier for parents to compare tutor profiles first, and the quicker recommendation process can be useful when support is needed soon after weaker school results or a sudden drop in confidence.

I’m very grateful to MindFlex, especially Alyssa and her team, for their patience and dedication in helping to source a suitable tutor for my son.

This is the 2nd time I look for them to source a tutor. This time round I had more specific requirements, including the tutor’s age group, gender and most importantly, someone who is patient and able to communicate well with students who are weaker in Chinese. Alyssa and the team were understanding, responsive and professional throughout the entire process.

They took the effort to carefully match a tutor who suits my son’s learning needs and personality. I truly appreciate their commitment and excellent service. Highly recommended for parents looking for reliable and attentive tuition support!

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. 1. SuperMath Discovery

1. SuperMath Discovery

Overview of Business

SuperMath Discovery is a specialist maths tuition provider with more than 18 years of experience teaching Primary and Secondary students. For families looking specifically at Primary 4 Math Tuition, SuperMath stands out for its structured Primary Maths programme, small classes, and clear focus on problem-solving. Their P4 classes introduce common upper-primary strategies such as working backwards and assumption method, while also strengthening geometry and calculation accuracy. This matters because Primary 4 is often when children move from straightforward procedures to more demanding reasoning questions. SuperMath also uses an app that gives parents updates on performance and areas for improvement, which can be reassuring if you are unsure whether your child is really keeping up. With a themed classroom environment, targeted worksheets, and close teacher interaction, SuperMath aims to make Maths feel less intimidating while still preparing children for tougher upper-primary work ahead.

Why Parents Choose SuperMath Discovery?

Parents may find SuperMath appealing when their child needs more than repetitive drilling. Their Primary 4 approach combines heuristics, visual reasoning, and daily practice, which may help children who freeze during problem sums or rush through calculations carelessly. The smaller class setup can also benefit quieter children who need prompting before they ask questions. Another plus is the regular parent communication through the app, since many parents want an early sense of whether mistakes are turning into habits. SuperMath also gives children access to strong materials and timely feedback, which can matter if a child seems to be coping in school now but may struggle more once Primary 5 topics build on weak foundations.

My daughter Lauren is Primary 6 and started attending Supermath in May this year. Before that, she was struggling with her math homework even after lessons at another center. Since joining Supermath, the change has been remarkable. She has become much more confident in problem solving and no longer faces the issue of not being able to complete her work after class.

Within just three months, Lauren’s math grade improved from AL 6 to AL 4. This progress is the result of the dedicated teaching and guidance from the Supermath team. She is challenged to push her limits and is now motivated to aim for AL 1.

A big thank you to Teacher Daniel and Teacher Serene for your patient and committed teaching.

2. Zenith Education Studio

2. Zenith Education Studio

Overview of Business

Zenith Education Studio offers primary, secondary, and Junior College tuition through a large network of branches across Singapore. For Primary 4 Math Tuition, Zenith provides a structured Primary programme backed by curated materials, capped class sizes, and a teaching style that aims to build both conceptual understanding and organised exam thinking. This can be useful for children who know some methods but struggle to explain their steps clearly or apply them in unfamiliar problem sums. Since Primary 4 is often when maths confidence starts to split, with some children coping well and others quietly beginning to fall behind, a systematic programme can give parents more visibility. Zenith’s broad footprint may also appeal to families who want convenience near home, and the availability of free trial classes makes it easier to see whether the class pace, teacher style, and environment feel suitable before committing.

Why Parents Choose Zenith Education Studio?

Zenith may appeal to parents who want a polished Primary Maths tuition centre with strong structure and accessible support. Their capped classes can help children who need more attention than they get in school, while curated notes and problem-solving drills may support those who understand concepts but struggle to transfer them to tests. The multiple branches are also a practical advantage for families juggling school, enrichment, and transport. Zenith offers individual consultations and online support too, which may matter if your child only realises their confusion after class. For parents who want a balance of academic rigour, convenience, and a more supportive tuition culture, Zenith can feel like a reassuring option.

If you asked me what it means to be a bubbly, food loving critic that is competent and skilled in teaching Chemistry, there’s only one name that comes to mind. OSN - Ong Shi Neng ☃️

Since the first lesson he has been relentless in ensuring quality education, good eats and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Chemistry in Zenith for the past 1.5 years have truly been like no other. The teachers are caring and helpful, reassuring us that we are prepared, organising 24 hour zooms the night before, just so we can feel a bit more secure the day before the exam. It is no surprise that he is one of Zenith’s most beloved tutors. #Notfreepromo

I attended Chenfang's E-Math classes from Sec 3 to 4 and it really was an amazing experience to be learning with her!

In Sec 4, I jumped from a C6 for Prelims to a B3 for O's, something I thought I wouldn't be able to achieve. Chenfang helped me to understand what my weak points were through weekly assessments and so I improved steadily. Her classes are also really fun since she makes sure that we are not just studying but enjoying the process!
The worksheets at Zenith also helped a lot as there were many diverse types of questions that helped with gradual and thorough understanding, with extras for practice at home! The snacks were also a real help for staying focused in class 🙂

I joined Nick's class in sec 3 for physics and he has helped me get good grades for physics throughout my upper sec and eventually get a1 for o levels. Without Nick I do not think I would have achieved such a good score. He is a very good teacher and makes lessons feel fun and explains concepts very well, I have not been lost or confused once in his lessons throughout my two years with him. I look forward to his classes every week and he made me fall in love with physics.😍😍 He also helps me with physics questions outside of lesson time when I whatsapp him especially when I was preparing for my exams.👍👍👍

I attended Nicholas Koh’s classes when I realised I was failing Chemistry and Physics in my Sec 3 WA2s. He helped pull my grades up from an F9 to an A2 for my O Levels! I truly appreciate his help so much. He is understanding, yet he also challenges me and strongly believes in my potential. His lessons are unlike those of other tutors who simply spoon-feed information instead, he makes sure new concepts are thoroughly drilled into your head so you truly understand them. 3. Edufirst Learning Centre

3. Edufirst Learning Centre

Overview of Business

Edufirst Learning Centre is a long-running tuition provider with a broad Primary and Secondary offering and 26 outlets across Singapore. For Primary 4 Math Tuition, Edufirst may appeal to parents who want a smaller-group setting rather than a large class environment. Their classes typically run with 4 to 8 students, which can make a real difference for children who hesitate to speak up, lose focus easily, or need repeated explanation before a method sinks in. Edufirst also positions itself around personalised and holistic learning, with tutors and curriculum specialists preparing materials aligned to the MOE syllabus. At Primary 4, this matters because children often start meeting more abstract concepts and problem sums that expose weak foundations from earlier years. With online and face-to-face options, homework clinics, and regular parent feedback, Edufirst offers a practical Primary tuition setup for families who want steady support over time.

Why Parents Choose Edufirst Learning Centre?

Many parents like Edufirst because the small group size can give a child enough attention without moving fully into one-to-one tuition. That may be especially useful for a Primary 4 child who is not failing badly, but is gradually becoming unsure of fractions, word problems, or multi-step working. The free homework clinics are another practical benefit, because weaker children often get stuck when revising alone between lessons. Parents also tend to value regular feedback, since it takes away some of the guessing about whether tuition is helping. For families seeking affordable Primary 4 tuition centres with many branches and a personalised teaching approach, Edufirst is worth considering.

I discovered this Student Care Centre (SCC) sprouted up in the Geylang East neighbourhood and I really find that they have the heart to care for our children. They take the effort to cook healthy and good lunch and also cater extra for the children in case they are hungry.

As for tuition, I personally find teachers Rui Le and Charlotte will make the effort to set individualized questions for my kids to prep them for their Weighted Assessment (WA).

So keep up the good work!

My boy joined Edufirst since he started Primary 1 last year. The centre manager Wendy and teacher Eugene take strong ownership in running the centre effectively and pushing the students academically. From checking and guiding the students’ work to making them learn their spelling. They also give the students extra worksheets and practice to uphold learning standards. Teacher Eugene even requested that I continue to send my boy to the centre regularly, during the school holidays, so that he can maintain his Chinese learning progress. They provide prompt feedback to parents always. Very thankful to have such responsible centre manager and teachers.

4. Sirius Math

4. Sirius Math

Overview of Business

Sirius Math is a specialist Mathematics tuition provider that teaches from Primary 3 to Primary 6 and Secondary levels. For parents searching specifically for Primary 4 Math Tuition, Sirius Math offers a focused option rather than a broad multi-subject setup. Their programme is built around small classes, structured explanations, and MOE-aligned content, which may suit children who need clearer sequencing and more guided practice. Primary 4 can be a turning point, because children are expected to manage more complex problem-solving while still staying accurate in routine calculations. Sirius Math addresses this through step-by-step teaching, regular reviews, and mock-style practice. The atmosphere also seems designed to reduce anxiety, which can matter when a child already sees themselves as bad at Maths. For families in the east, Sirius Math may be an attractive choice as a specialised Primary Maths tuition centre with a strong confidence-building angle.

Why Parents Choose Sirius Math?

Parents may appreciate Sirius Math if their child needs a calm, systematic approach rather than high-pressure drilling. The small-group format allows teachers to notice when a child is copying methods without really understanding them, which is quite common in Primary 4. Regular review sessions and detailed feedback can also help children retain topics instead of forgetting them after each school test. Another plus is the specialist focus on Mathematics alone, which may suit parents who prefer tutors with deeper subject concentration. If your child has started becoming anxious about Maths or keeps making the same errors despite practice, Sirius Math’s patient and structured style may feel like a better fit.

My eldest girl joined Sirius Mathematics since Secondary 1 as it is near her secondary school. It has been a very good decision for us. SM has helped her consistently maintain her A1 grade every year, and we are very thankful for that. She even scored full marks for her Secondary 2 EOY last year! Very proud of her hahaha

She is now in Secondary 3 taking A Maths, and the teachers have guided her very well through the tougher concepts. What really impressed us is that the school is very good at spotting exam questions and trends. Many of the questions she practised were very similar in style and standard to what came out in school exams.

The environment is nice and conducive for studying, and the teachers are young, friendly and engaging. They are approachable and, most importantly, they really know how to teach. The fees are also quite reasonable for the quality provided.

Overall, we are very happy with her progress and experience. Highly recommended!

The transition from P4 to P5 math is not easy, but Sirius Mathematics has made it smooth and enjoyable for my son. Their worksheets and materials are top notch, and the teachers are patient and supportive. Thanks to their guidance, he managed to score 28/30 for his WA, a huge improvement from his previous scores around 20–22/30, and his Primary 4 EOY score of 67/100. I especially appreciate the free consultation sessions where he can get help with any school questions. He also loves the free-flow snack bar and has made many friends there. The friendly teachers and welcoming environment make it feel like a second school for him. Highly recommended!

We’re truly very grateful to the school. My child scored A1 for both Elementary Math and Additional Math at O-Levels 🎉, and we couldn’t be happier.

A Math had been a real struggle since Secondary 3. There were moments when my child felt very discouraged and even doubted whether an A was possible. But the teachers patiently rebuilt the foundation, clarified confusing concepts, and provided consistent, structured practice. Slowly but surely, everything started to make sense.

The materials are extremely well prepared and very aligned with O-Level standards. The teachers are also very experienced in identifying common O-Level question types and guiding students on how to approach them strategically. Their explanations are clear, systematic and easy to follow, truly top notch.👏

Most importantly, my child regained confidence in Mathematics. We’re very thankful for the dedication and support. Highly recommended for parents looking for strong guidance in both E Math and A Math. 👍

We are extremely grateful to the school. My daughter scored AL1 for her PSLE Mathematics, after starting at AL4 just half a year earlier. The teachers helped her improve by three grade bands within a short period of time, and we are truly touched by the progress she has made.

I used to struggle teaching her maths at home, but the school’s structured guidance helped her develop a genuine understanding of the concepts and master effective exam strategies. More importantly, she has grown to enjoy mathematics and gained much more confidence in the subject.

Highly recommended for parents residing in Tampines. The teachers are experienced, patient and very dedicated.

5. Terry Chew Academy

5. Terry Chew Academy

Overview of Business

Terry Chew Academy is a mathematics specialist founded by well-known Math Olympiad author Terry Chew. While the academy is recognised for Olympiad training, it also offers mainstream Primary Maths support for children from Primary 4 to Primary 6. For parents considering Primary 4 Math Tuition, Terry Chew Academy may suit children who are ready to strengthen reasoning early, rather than waiting until Primary 5 or PSLE year to tackle harder problem sums. Their Primary programme uses a structured critical thinking framework and small ability-based classes, with coaches trained directly in the academy’s methods. This can be helpful for children who cope with routine sums but get stuck once questions become unfamiliar. The approach is not just about pushing tougher questions for the sake of it. Used well, it may help Primary 4 children build flexible thinking, stronger heuristics, and more confidence before upper-primary pressure starts to build.

Why Parents Choose Terry Chew Academy?

Parents often consider Terry Chew Academy when they want more than standard worksheet drilling. The academy’s focus on critical thinking and problem-solving tools may help a child who is beginning to plateau despite doing many practice papers. Small classes and progress tracking can also be useful when parents want clearer visibility on whether a child is truly understanding concepts or simply memorising methods. For stronger Primary 4 children, the teaching may provide stretch without waiting for PSLE year. For weaker children, the structured roadmap and targeted callback sessions may help patch weaker spots before they grow into deeper frustration in Primary 5 and Primary 6.

I’ve been attending Terry Chew since grade 7. They have great coaches and I like their problem solving methods. Learning Olympiad maths not only improves your maths but also your critical thinking skills and logical reasoning which also helps you especially on economics subjects. My economics teacher always compliments my critical thinking skills. Thanks Terry Chew for great lessons!

Very experienced math olympiad coaches who are patient and willing to work with kids of all levels of ability (not just the gifted kids). Coach Catherine has been doing a great job so far, and I hope she stays... My son loves it that there is no homework/assignments after each class, and as a parent, I love the convenience of online (small group) class.

However I would not recommend joining hybrid class option where there is a mix of online+onsite students in the same class, as the onsite kids are typically noisy/attention-seeking and the coach was unable to control them. Such disruptive onsite students were also not booted out of the class, and every few minutes the coach would yell at them, turning the class into a circus! If an online student was disruptive, he can he muted on zoom, therefore it was unfair that disruptive onsite students were not punished and continued to be a nuisance every week! If there wasn't the option of non-hybrid/ fully online class, I would not have continued.

Before:
I used to score 85 marks in Primary 4 and my grades dropped to 50 marks in Primary 5. I felt that math was difficult and I did not feel like practising.

During:
While attending the Math Mastery course, I was taught concepts from topics like excess & shortage, area & perimeter and more. Some strategies to solve problems quickly and effectively were also taught. I found the lessons challenging but easy to understand.

After:
By the end of the course, I feel much more confident in mathematics and started to love the subject. I am now striving to build up my critical thinking skills and score an A* in the school Exam!

Subjects Offered

  • Primary Math (P4-P6)

Teaching Methodology

  • The academy uses the RA*CE Framework, a critical thinking method developed to help children connect ideas across topics.
  • Primary Maths classes are ability-based, which may help children learn with peers at a more suitable pace.
  • Small group classes usually have 8 to 10 students.
  • Coaches teach heuristics relevant to upper-primary Maths, including assumption method and working backwards.
  • Progress tracking is used to identify learning gaps and shape a customised roadmap.
  • Callback sessions may be arranged to target weak topics without additional charges when recommended.

Location and Availability

Classes are based at Goldhill Shopping Centre in Novena, and live online coaching is also available. This gives families the choice between in-person lessons and a home-based option.

Price Range

Primary Maths fees start from $960 per term for 12 weekly lessons. Families may also need to factor in a $70 registration fee, a $100 refundable deposit, and trial fees equivalent to one lesson.

6. Miracle Math

6. Miracle Math

Overview of Business

Miracle Math is an MOE-registered maths tuition provider that teaches Primary, Secondary, IP, and Junior College students, with physical classes in Bedok and Tampines plus online options. For Primary 4 Math Tuition, Miracle Math may appeal to parents who want a specialist maths environment but still prefer small-group learning rather than one-to-one tuition. Their teaching approach focuses on conceptual understanding, personalised pacing, and regular revision of earlier topics, which is particularly useful at Primary 4, where children often look fine on recent topics but still carry hidden gaps from lower Primary. The group sizes are kept small, and the team aims to break difficult ideas into manageable chunks. That can help children who feel overwhelmed once questions become multi-step. For east-side families, Miracle Math offers a targeted Primary Maths tuition setup with both onsite and online flexibility.

Why Parents Choose Miracle Math?

Parents may like Miracle Math because it balances group interaction with individual support. A child who needs encouragement to ask questions may benefit from the small classes, while the customised game plan can help if weaknesses are specific, such as fractions, geometry, or careless presentation. The emphasis on understanding the why behind methods may also suit children who can copy workings in school but cannot apply them independently later. Some families also value the concurrent online option, especially if weekday travel is tiring. For parents worried that their child’s confidence is slipping quietly in Primary 4, Miracle Math’s supportive and structured style may feel reassuring.

Before joining miracle math, I was consistently failing my math, always scoring an F9 or D7. However, after joining them, my grades gradually improved, and eventually managing to score a B3 for my O levels. The teachers are also really nice and supportive of you even if you don't understand concepts. They teach in ways that cater to your needs and help you to understand the topics clearly. I recommend joining this tuition centre 😁.

I joined Miracle Math since Sec one and continued all the way untill I had to take my O Levels.

At first, I found math challenging and thought there was no way I could ever do well in the subject. However, as I continued with the tution and with patience from the teacher, I started to improve. Over time, I not only understood better, but also started to find Math fun!

The teacher always made sure to give every student a chance to answer questions, building my understanding and confidence. We also had timed assesments sheduled closer to the exam period, while still having time to improve before the actual exams.

I eventually scored better then what I had expected at the begining for my O Levels. Overall, It was a great experience here and I don't think I could've achieved it without Miracle Math!

i joined miracle math at the end of sec 1 after failing my weighted assessments throughout the year. simply passing or scoring an A or B seemed like a goal out of reach. with the help of my tutor who explained each concept clearly in engaging ways that i could process and understand, i began to see my grades improving and my confidence in math grew. fast forward to sec 3, my math improved and i began to score consistent A1s. i also enrolled in the amath class, but i was scoring Bs throughout my sec 3 year. however, with consistent practice and timed assessments throughout nearing exam season, i learnt from my mistakes and got used to timed exam conditions. i scored A1 for math and A2 for my amath o levels. thank you miracle math for the guidance throughout these years 🙂

I joined Miracle Math in 2024 in Secondary 3. At the time, I was close to failing both my E-Math and A-Math as I struggled for quite a while as I was understanding new concepts and skills. Miracle Math taught me everything I needed to know by meticulously going through each step and each process at a pace that really suited my style of learning. In the end, I managed to score a double distinction for my E-Math and A-Math O-Levels and I also achieved a raw L1R4 score of 8 points, a feat I have never accomplished before. Miracle Math is truly a place where Miracles take place.

7. Kumon

7. Kumon

Overview of Business

Kumon is one of the most established enrichment brands in Singapore, offering Maths, English, and Chinese across a large islandwide network. For parents considering Primary 4 Math Tuition, Kumon is quite different from a typical Primary Maths tuition centre. Its method centres on self-learning through small-step worksheets, daily practice, and instructor guidance rather than full teacher-led explanation throughout the lesson. This may suit children who need stronger number fluency, steadier work habits, and more confidence completing work independently. At Primary 4, some children are not weak in concepts so much as inconsistent in basics, speed, and focus. Kumon can help address that pattern if the child is willing to work regularly at home. Families looking for direct heuristics coaching or explicit school-style word-problem teaching, however, may want to think carefully about whether the Kumon approach fits their child’s current needs and temperament.

Why Parents Choose Kumon?

Parents often choose Kumon when their child needs stronger learning discipline and more consistent Maths habits. The daily worksheet routine can be useful for Primary 4 children who are careless, slow in calculations, or too dependent on adult help when they get stuck. Because children work by ability rather than age alone, some may rebuild weaker areas without the embarrassment of comparing themselves with classmates. The wide branch network is also convenient for busy families. Still, Kumon tends to suit children who can cope with regular independent practice, so it may be a better fit for some learning personalities than others.

8. Matrix Math

8. Matrix Math

Overview of Business

Matrix Math is a specialist Mathematics tuition provider serving students from Primary 2 to Secondary 4. For Primary 4 Math Tuition, Matrix Math may attract parents who want a dedicated maths-only programme with a structured approach to problem sums. Their curriculum is built around the proprietary Matrix Method, with small classes, regular feedback, and materials designed to help children tackle challenging questions more confidently. This can matter in Primary 4, where many children still manage routine procedures but start stumbling once questions require planning and heuristics. Matrix Math also seems to maintain close communication with parents, which is helpful when a child appears to be trying hard but results remain uneven. With multiple branches across Singapore, Matrix Math offers convenience alongside a specialist focus. For families who want a Primary Maths tuition centre rather than a general subject provider, it is a practical option to compare.

Why Parents Choose Matrix Math?

Parents may choose Matrix Math because the teaching is geared towards difficult problem sums rather than only routine drills. That can help a Primary 4 child who scores reasonably on straightforward questions but starts to break down when the wording becomes more complex. The small-class attention and tailored feedback may also be useful for children who need teachers to spot exactly where their reasoning goes off track. Another benefit is the regular communication with parents, since it helps home support feel more targeted instead of reactive. If you want specialist maths tuition with several branch choices, Matrix Math is one of the more convenient options to look at.

9. Concept Math

9. Concept Math

Overview of Business

Concept Math focuses on Primary-level Mathematics tuition and PSLE preparation, making it highly relevant for parents searching specifically for Primary 4 Math Tuition. Their upper-primary programme is designed around conceptual understanding, small-group learning, and regular updates to match MOE syllabus changes. For Primary 4 children, this matters because many begin to struggle not from lack of effort, but from weak number sense and difficulty transferring concepts across topics. Concept Math aims to address that by teaching the deeper ideas connecting different question types, rather than coaching children to memorise fixed steps. Lessons use model drawing and guided breakdowns, while parents receive short debriefs after each class. That level of communication may be especially helpful if you are trying to support your child at home but are unsure what exactly they are missing. With physical and Zoom options, Concept Math offers a focused Primary Maths tuition setup.

Why Parents Choose Concept Math?

Parents may appreciate Concept Math when their child seems to understand today’s topic in isolation but cannot link it to earlier work. The concept-led approach can help children make sense of why methods work, which often matters more in Primary 4 than simply finishing extra worksheets. Small classes also allow teachers to catch misconceptions early, before a child settles into wrong habits. The e-resources portal gives children another way to revise if they forget what was taught in class, and the lesson debriefs help parents know what to reinforce at home without turning revision into guesswork or nagging.

My daughter (11) has been enrolled with Concept Math Novena since she was 6 years old. She enjoys the Math classes at CM and it has helped her maths greatly. CM Novena has good teachers (most ex-MoE) who are very familiar with the PsLE syllabus. At lower pri classes, they use simple & easy to understand methods to introduce the various models as a foundation. At upper pri levels, they use focused techniques to reinforce key concepts and a SMART framework which will help the kids during exams. They have helped many kids attain good results in Maths and my daughter’s maths mastery has improved greatly and she is now much better than me at problem solving! This year, I also enrolled my son (8) to begin his CM journey!

10. The Nuggets Academy

10. The Nuggets Academy

Overview of Business

The Nuggets Academy is a Hougang-based tuition provider offering Primary and Secondary Maths, Science, and English, with a strong emphasis on small groups and confidence-building. For Primary 4 Math Tuition, they may suit parents whose child has started feeling discouraged by the subject and needs patient rebuilding rather than simply more worksheets. Their Maths lessons are designed in bite-sized modules over 1 hour 45 minutes, which gives time for explanation, guided practice, and correction in the same session. This can be helpful for Primary 4 children who need concepts broken down more slowly before they can apply them to problem sums. The academy also focuses on customised learning plans and close support, including online options for some Primary levels. For families who value a nurturing tone and very small group teaching, The Nuggets Academy offers a more hands-on Primary tuition environment than many larger chains.

Why Parents Choose The Nuggets Academy ?

Parents often look at The Nuggets Academy when their child’s issue is not only marks, but also confidence. Some Primary 4 children become tense the moment they see a long word problem, even when they know the basics. The small class size can make it easier for them to ask questions without feeling embarrassed, and the longer lesson format allows teachers to slow down when needed. The focus on heuristics is also useful at this stage, since problem sums become more demanding in upper Primary. For parents who want warm, close guidance with regular progress updates, this setup may feel more personal and supportive.

My child attends math lessons at The Nuggets Academy under the Bloom Programme and the Problem Sum Masterclass.

She has found math challenging and often lacked confidence and motivation in the subject. Since learning under Teacher Sandra, I have gradually seen a positive change in her confidence and attitude. She is now more willing to try questions and approaches math with less anxiety.

In the past, my child did not enjoy math tuition and was usually reluctant to attend extra classes. However, The Nuggets Academy is the only place she doesn’t mind going twice a week, which speaks alot of the supportive learning environment they have created.

Teacher Sandra explains concepts in a clear and structured way, and I appreciate her patient and encouraging approach with the students. She creates a safe space where children feel supported regardless of their starting point, and this has helped my child feel more comfortable asking questions and staying engaged during lessons.

As a parent, I also appreciate the regular progress updates from Teacher Sandra, which help me better understand how my child is doing.

I would recommend The Nuggets Academy to parents looking for math tuition in Singapore, especially for primary math tuition. It has helped my child build a stronger foundation and, more importantly, greater confidence in learning math.

My son is currently enrolled in Maths Nuggets, PSLE maths class 2026. He initially started off in the holiday programme/math booster class during term 3 & 4, 2024. At that time, he was in primary 4. Back then, before joining The Nuggets Academy, i was actively searching for a math tuition centre for him. Adam had some issues, he had some difficulty with solving problem sums, thus affected his confidence which then led to also careless mistakes. I took a chance and enrolled him in Maths Nuggets.

However, at the end of primary 4 and also throughout primary 5, i started to notice that he had many improvements. All positive! His confidence has grown, he is quicker in his work and also he is able to solve most sums. He also enjoys his lessons a lot and looks forward to going for lessons. He is very fond of all the teachers that have taught him as well.

What made me choose The Nuggets Academy is that they only have small group lessons. So that Adam is able to focus better and have personalised attention. Because of all these positive outcomes, as a parent, i feel relieved and a trust is formed. The teachers or staff answer my queries promptly and give detailed information on Adam’s progress. I would definitely recommend this centre to any child and parent!

Before joining Nuggets, my girl did not have much interest in Maths. Starting from P3, Maths concepts became increasingly difficult for her to understand, and as her confidence dropped, so did her interest in the subject.

After being tutored by Tr Sandra, she is now able to handle Maths with much more confidence — which has also led to better EOY results. Not only have her grades improved, she no longer feels that Maths is a difficult subject. She even requests extra practice papers from her school teacher so she can practise on her own.

What I appreciate about the school is the small class size, with only 4–6 students per teacher. The teachers also provide frequent updates on each child’s learning progress, which helps us stay informed and involved.

All my kids truly enjoy their time at Nuggets Academy.

My boys especially looks forward to the classes because they enjoy collecting points and redeeming rewards that they like. 😅

The lessons must be very well-taught each week — my boy only did two test papers that I gave him the night before the examination, yet he managed to score 90/100 — amazing results! 🎉

A special thanks to Tr Jia Hao for also taking the time to give extra lessons to my O level boy.

We really appreciate your commitment and dedication to helping the boys learn and grow. 🙏

My daughters have been going to MathNugget for almost 2 years and I do see steady improvement especially in my younger daughter. They are now more confident in this subject and can tackle word problems better. I appreciate the small class size (max5-6kids to 1 teacher) which ensures each child gets enough attention. Concepts and methods taught are closely aligned to school curriculum. My daughters tell me they learn these ahead of what is being taught in school which is very helpful. Overall, a good tuition centre with kind teachers and happy students. 👍🏻

Maths is now the subject my daughter (P5 this year) seems to be most enthusiastic abt!
She's most willing to do maths papers and homework of all her subjects! Speaks volume of her increased confidence and comfort level with Maths. Really appreciate the Nuggets team's patience and guidance.

As a parent, I was truly impressed right from the first trial lesson. During a tele-conversation, my son’s school English teacher asked if I had recently sent him for any additional classes, as she noticed a clear improvement in his English. That, to me, was a strong sign that the tuition was already making an impact.

I had signed up both my twins immediately after the trial, and it has been one of the best decisions for their learning journey. Teacher Vivienne is incredibly attentive, patient, and has a great sense of humour. Her teaching style makes the lessons engaging and enjoyable—my twins genuinely look forward to attending every week.

I’m thankful for the positive influence she has on my children’s learning, and I would highly recommend this centre to other parents looking for effective and nurturing English tuition.

How to Choose the Best Primary 4 Math Tuition for Your Child?

The best Primary 4 Math Tuition is not always the most well-known or the most intensive option. Very often, it comes down to why your child is struggling, or what kind of support they need to keep progressing with confidence. As you compare Primary 4 tuition options, it helps to look at a few practical points first.

  • Choose a teaching style that matches your child, whether they need step-by-step explanation, stronger heuristics training, or more independent practice.
  • Look closely at class size, because some children do well in groups while others need much closer attention to ask questions and correct mistakes.
  • Check tutor experience and whether the programme is genuinely strong in Primary Maths, not just general primary tuition.
  • Factor in location, lesson timing, and travel load, especially if your child is already tired after school and CCA.
  • Read reviews with a practical mindset, focusing on patterns like concept clarity, patience, progress updates, and confidence-building.
  • Be realistic about budget, and compare whether a higher fee actually brings more useful support for your child’s learning needs.

A good primary maths tuition centre should help your child feel clearer, steadier, and less fearful of Maths over time. When the fit is right, tuition can ease some of the tension around home revision and help your child build a stronger foundation before Primary 5 becomes even more demanding.
