Introduction

Acro dance classes for kids combine dance technique with balances, flexibility, strength and tumbling skills. They give children an expressive way to develop physical control. When comparing acro dance classes for kids in Singapore, parents may want to consider entry ages, skill progression, teaching credentials and safety practices. Some schools offer recreational lessons, while others include syllabus training, examinations, performances or competition pathways. Class size, studio equipment and spotting also matter when children are learning inversions or partner skills. This guide covers 10 acro dance centres in Singapore, with overviews, Google reviews, locations, prices and contact details.

I must say, this is the best dance academy in Singapore. My daughter is taking Junior Ballet, Jazz, and Tap combo class under Ms. Fang Yu. She is very dedicated and my daughter is progressing really well. As they are providing the combo class in junior level, my child is able to try out the three dance styles and see which one she has more interest and concentrate more on that style in future. Apart from this, I highly appreciate their service, they are highly responsive.

We just wanted to share how much our daughter has enjoyed her time at All That Jazz. It’s been a wonderful experience, and we’re so grateful to the entire staff for all the support and kindness over the past year. The teachers have been amazing—so patient and encouraging—and their guidance has truly helped our daughter grow and gain confidence in her dancing.

A special thank-you for offering Acro dance classes for younger children. Our daughter, now 6, discovered her love for Acro when she was 5, back in the U.S. After moving here, it was a real challenge to find a studio that welcomed kids her age into Acro, so we were thrilled to find All That Jazz. You’ve created a space where young dancers can feel inspired and supported, and we’re so appreciative of that.

Ritz Dance Studios is more than a dance school, from Principal, Ms Ethelyn, to dance teachers, esp Ms Ng Kah Hui, to admins like Ms Siqi, Ms Xuan Tong and Ms Jamie, they are a team of people with passion and patience. They don’t just teach dance, they teach life! My daughter has been with Ritz since 2021.She has blossom into a confident girl who understands the importance of working hard, a process that includes hard work and sometimes tears. She loves her dedicated teachers, Ms Ethelyn & Ms Ng, who teach and correct her BEYOND class time, remotely. Where do we find such committed teachers??
Thank you, Kayleen loves going to RItz dance studio and I am a happy mummy!

My daughter has been enjoying ballet classes with Ms Ethelyn for the past 7 months. At this young age, before formal ballet training, the lessons focus on musicality and movement, which helps my daughter to hone confidence and be comfortable in bodily expression. The level 6 studio is clean, spacious and bright. My daughter looks forward to classes each week. I appreciate the admin staff as well, communication is helpful and smooth. My only gripe (if any) is that this dance studio can get very crowded during waiting time but it is to be expected given its (well-deserved) popularity by students and parents.

My daughter got to know of Emerge through a classmate who's been a student of their for years. We just joined this year and I can see my daughter's love for the Performing arts blossoming steadily through the guidance of her coaches at Emerge. She also had her debut as a main cast role despite being a relatively new student, and did very well for her character. I'm glad she is in good hands and great company of other kids who share the same passion as her.

My daughter joined Ms Charlotte's class when she was approaching 4yo. It has only been a short 3 months but we really liked it here. I can tell that Ms Charlotte takes pride in her work, and she is fantastic with young toddlers! Toddlers are a little different from younger children, so they may need more engagement from teachers in the beginning and I can tell Ms Charlotte is experienced in that. Excited to continue watching my daughter's growth here. 😄

My daughter has been training in Ballet and Jazz here since 2021, and the school has been a wonderful part of her weekly routine. Ms. Charlotte sets the tone with her professionalism and genuine passion for teaching. Every class feels purposeful, well-prepared, and thoughtfully paced, which really shows in how the students progress over time.

She has a special ability to understand each child — when to encourage, when to guide, and when to challenge them a little more. My daughter has grown so much not only in technique, but in confidence and focus, and that comes from being in an environment where she feels both supported and inspired.

What I especially appreciate is how consistent the teaching is, how clearly expectations are communicated, and how the children are taught to take pride in their own improvement. It feels like a place where kids are safe, respected, and truly motivated to do their best.

We’re very grateful to have found this school and to have Ms. Charlotte shaping my daughter’s dance journey.

We are so grateful to Miss Charlotte for her dedication and passion in teaching my daughter, Mila. Not only does she guide the children with patience and love, but she also went above and beyond by giving Mila extra make-up classes to prepare for the performance.

The recital was such a beautiful and heartwarming event — every child truly shone on stage, and it’s clear how much hard work and care Miss Charlotte and her team put into nurturing each student. We deeply appreciate the sense of community she has built, and how she inspires both growth in dance and character.

Highly recommend this dance school for anyone looking for a place where children can learn, thrive, and feel supported!

My daughter started tap lessons with Ms Charlotte 4 years ago and never looked back. We also switched her ballet lessons from another school, and the difference is evident. The teachers in Charlotte Marn School of Dance are engaging and loving. Despite being a late starter in dance, Ms Charlotte has given my daughter opportunities and for someone who was dancing for fun, my girl now takes dance more seriously. More importantly, she enjoys it and this is something I am truly grateful for.

It's heartwarming to see her grow, not just as a dancer, but as a person who believes in herself.

Had a K-pop dance class with Grace Yew at Movement Studio, and it turned out to be a super personalised 1:1 session! The class was at 12:15 PM on a Monday, which was just perfect for getting some one-on-one attention.

Just a heads up – finding the place is a bit of a hassle, so definitely plan to get there early. I was late and trust me, you don't want to miss any minute of this session.

Now, about Grace – she's amazing. She's super patient and just has this way of explaining things that makes everything click, especially when trying to get in sync with K-pop beats or perfecting a dance move. She's quick to spot where you're struggling, like with timing or a specific step, and then it's all about practicing that bit until you nail it. Sometimes, all I needed was to tune in more to the beat.

The best part? The class being just for me meant Grace could really tailor everything to what I needed most. It felt more like a fun, intense dance hangout than a regular class. Actually, it felt like dancing it out with a friend who really knows her stuff.

If you're into K-pop and want a class that really caters to you, definitely check out Grace's session at Movement Studio on a Monday. Just remember, give yourself that extra time to find the place so you're all set to dance right on time!

It was such a special experience for her, and for us too, watching her take that stage with confidence and joy. It was such a proud and emotional moment for us as a family and one we’ll always remember.

When she joined Tilt last year, we had no idea how much she would grow. Not just in her dancing but in her confidence, happiness and increasing sense of belonging. We’re so touched by the trust you've shown in her and by the warm, nurturing environment you’ve created at Tilt.

She’s truly found a place where she feels encouraged and inspired, and it shows! She’s dancing more than ever (everywhere!) and always looks forward to her classes.

Thank you again for everything you do. We feel very lucky to be part of the Tilt family.

Warmest wishes,
Ahmad and Mar

When my husband and I were looking for a dance program for our girls, aged 5 and 7, we wanted a focused and dedicated teacher who give the children space to explore and experience the joy of dancing as an expression rather than being 'exam-centric'. Now after over a year with teacher Naomi, I am glad to say she is everything we had hoped for. Naomi has a new studio at North Canal Road that is easily assessible for parents who drive as there are ample parkings along the nearby roads.

Naomi is strong in communicating with older children as she is with the younger ones. My youngest being only in K1 and she throughly enjoys the lessons. Naomi did not overtly emphasize the technical aspects rather she used playful music to attract the children's attention and the dances are beautifully choreographed and rhythmic.

We highly recommend Naomi and Lighthouse!

Our daughter Elizabeth started her dance journey under Ms Naomi's engaging and caring guidance since 3 years ago. She has since gained interest and greater confidence in expressing herself through dance. Naomi's warmth and supportive demeanour makes learning a fun experience. She is always responsive, polite and comprehensive in her communications with the parents. She is well organised and resourceful. She is very kid-centric and makes the necessary arrangements for the safety and well being of the children. She proactively sources for various learning experience for the kids to increase their interest in dance such as organising trips to dance performances at Esplanade and introduction to ballet by the SDT. Thanks Naomi for the excellent service!

My daughter developed an interest in dancing when she was only 2 years old and we decided to enroll her in a dance class. We attended few ballet classes with different teachers and she prefers to be taught by Miss Naomi.
I was quite surprised hearing her decision from such a young age. But I must say, I agree with her judgement and decision! She feels very encouraged and comfortable in Miss Naomi’s classes. Miss Naomi has always been really professional when it comes to handling and teaching the kids. She’s very patient with them and most importantly stirring interest among them further developing their interest and passion for dancing. She’s very talented and we can see how much effort she invest in planning and coming up with ideas on how to bring out the best in the kids (Example, challenging the students in a self-choreographed dance competition. It was so much fun!) As a parent, I feel very at ease and trust Miss Naomi in nuturing my daughter. She focuses on improving my daughter’s dance skills in a fun and positive way! I’m always amazed and impressed by her thoughtfulness and talent. I strongly recommend Lighthouse Dance School to any parent who is looking to send their child for dance class.

My girl has been learning from Teacher Naomi since the start of her dance journey 3 years back and she loved every minute of it.

Naomi is highly professional and clear in her communication with the parents. She shown a great flair in connecting with the kiddos but at the same time is always able to get the best out of them.

We are looking forward to continuing her dance journey in the new studio

How to Choose the Best Acro Dance Class for Your Child

  • Instructor qualifications: Check that teachers have recognised acrobatics training and experience teaching children at your child’s developmental stage.
  • Safety practices: Ask how instructors teach inversions, tumbling and partner work, including spotting and physical supervision.
  • Progressive levels: Look for a pathway that builds foundations before demanding flexibility, balances, walkovers or complex tumbling skills.
  • Child readiness: Choose a level suited to your child’s strength, coordination, confidence and previous dance or gymnastics experience.
  • Class size: Consider whether teachers can observe alignment closely and offer individual corrections during demanding acrobatic exercises.
  • Training equipment: Ask whether suitable mats and appropriate equipment are used for the skills taught at each level.
  • Dance integration: Clarify how the programme links acrobatic skills with musicality, choreography, transitions and expressive dance technique.
  • Teaching ethos: Observe whether instruction is encouraging, disciplined and patient, especially when children feel hesitant about unfamiliar movements.
  • Progress feedback: Find out how teachers monitor skills, communicate development and decide when a child is ready to advance.
  • Performance goals: Consider whether recreational classes, examinations, showcases or competitions match your child’s interest and desired commitment level.
  • Physical conditioning: Check that strength, mobility and alignment develop alongside flexibility, rather than focusing only on tricks.
  • Trial experience: Use a trial class to observe your child’s comfort, engagement and response to the teacher’s communication style.
  • Schedule fit: Compare lesson times, travel demands and term commitments with schoolwork, rest and your family’s weekly routine.
  • Fee clarity: Confirm tuition, registration, costume, examination, competition and performance costs before committing to a full term.
  • Personal suitability: Match the programme’s pace and expectations with your child’s personality, confidence, goals and preferred learning style.
