After leaving the my honest thoughts here, I received a message from one of the staff and was offered a complimentary class, on top of the one I already paid for.
The studio was apologetic for the service and acknowledged that they would improve on their processes for last minute class cancellations, so future students would not have to make wasted trips 🙂 The studio also extended the expiry of the complimentary class, so I had more time to come for a class despite my busy schedule.
Few weeks later, I eventually attended a New Jack Swing class, by Jin Wen and thoroughly enjoyed myself! It was a small class, but the environment was inviting and welcoming. It was easy for someone who hasn't danced in awhile, to feel comfortable and to enjoy the class!
The instructors are very patient and classes are fun and easy to follow even for beginners. Love that they also have a wide selection of classes to choose from, from kids to adult classes. Two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻

I’m truly impressed by my daughter’s progress under Ms. Elaine’s guidance. Her dedication to bringing out my girl’s strengths is commendable. My daughter looks forward to every class, and I’m delighted to see her enjoy it! Thank you (:
Ritz Dance Studios is more than a dance school, from Principal, Ms Ethelyn, to dance teachers, esp Ms Ng Kah Hui, to admins like Ms Siqi, Ms Xuan Tong and Ms Jamie, they are a team of people with passion and patience. They don’t just teach dance, they teach life! My daughter has been with Ritz since 2021.She has blossom into a confident girl who understands the importance of working hard, a process that includes hard work and sometimes tears. She loves her dedicated teachers, Ms Ethelyn & Ms Ng, who teach and correct her BEYOND class time, remotely. Where do we find such committed teachers?? Thank you, Kayleen loves going to RItz dance studio and I am a happy mummy!
My daughter has been enjoying ballet classes with Ms Ethelyn for the past 7 months. At this young age, before formal ballet training, the lessons focus on musicality and movement, which helps my daughter to hone confidence and be comfortable in bodily expression. The level 6 studio is clean, spacious and bright. My daughter looks forward to classes each week. I appreciate the admin staff as well, communication is helpful and smooth. My only gripe (if any) is that this dance studio can get very crowded during waiting time but it is to be expected given its (well-deserved) popularity by students and parents.
My girl has been going to Ritz since 4yo and enjoys it. The school has been accommodating to our needs and most importantly inspires my girl to dance well and perform!
Very happy with my daughter’s progress with ms Ethelyn. She's very creative and passionate about dancing, and I can see it positively influencing her students too. Recommended studio with a balance of performing and grading.

Really enjoyed the Contemporary Lyrical open class with Joanne! The choreography was beautiful, and even though we were total rookies, Joanne was incredibly patient and helpful — we’re so grateful ❤️ Thank you, Joanne!

The talented and chill teachers create a welcoming environment that makes any student want to come back every week for more.
From our experience we highly recommend Deca for kids. We can’t wait for our 2 year old to be old enough to start classes!
DecaDance is such a gem. Our daughter has been going here for over four years and it’s hands down her favourite activity every week. The teachers are super encouraging and make the classes so fun and engaging.
What we love most is that the kids don’t just learn dance moves—they also get to be creative and come up with their own choreography.
The annual productions are amazing too. They bring together dancers of all ages to tell meaningful stories about life, family, and community.
Highly recommend DecaDance to anyone looking for a fun, inspiring, and supportive dance studio for kids and adults!
Joined the contemporary lyrical class open class by Joanne - it was a good workout and makes me more motivated to go back into dance after a few years of hiatus. Would recommend joining the intro course for someone who's not too experienced - my friend and I were struggling during the open class but Joanne was very patient and helpful despite that so I'm thankful!
Attended an intro to contemporary dance, taught by Joanne. Joanne was very friendly, engaging, and guided us well. I have no dance experience and have poor body coordination, so this was a very interesting and fun class. Will go back again!

The dancers were stunning on stage, and I was truly impressed by their beautiful performances at the concert. The school must take great pride in coaching its students and witnessing their growth. It offers a friendly and welcoming environment, suitable for beginners pursuing dance as a hobby as well as for those aiming to compete. With a variety of classes tailored to students’ needs, the school caters to a wide range of interests and goals.
While the teachers train the kids on the techniques, they are also caring and pay attention to safety. My girl learns about working hard, discipline, commitment, teamwork and resilience in the process. The teachers' and the principal's passion in dancing and grooming the young ones is evident, this is something that I as a parent value a lot.
Hi Ms Lang Ley, this may be a bit delayed but wanted to say a big congratulations 🎉 on the success of Palette in Motion 😊 it was a very enjoyable concert and I can see the amount of planning and hard work put in by you and your teachers. Kudos to you all! Also thank you for giving SL the opportunity to be part of this. It’s a big milestone for her and her last concert was very kiddy like and I can see how she has matured into a diligent dancer. She may not be your best dancer and I do not push her too much to the point she no longer finds joy in dancing. I can tell she enjoys dancing with Elevate and appreciate the guidance and patience you and your teachers have given her. Thank you Ms Lang Ley and have a wonderful year end holiday break ahead!
I have been with Elevate since its inception, and have been under the guidance of our principal, Ms Langley, for over a decade, training in Modern Jazz and Modern Theatre. Ms Langley is a dedicated, approachable and experienced dance teacher who nurtures her students to not only do well in dance, but also in life. As a teacher who values versatility, she provides many avenues for her students to explore different dance genres, offering classes in various styles, and organising local and overseas excursions and workshops to learn from a myriad of choreographers and dancers. Under her tutelage, I was given many opportunities, including learning from talented choreographers in South Korea, as well as experiencing my first solo competitions in Singapore and Malaysia. Elevate offers a unique and thorough programme to groom students into versatile and technical dancers, as well as confident and experienced performers. Would highly recommend!
I have been with Ms Langley for over 10 years and I’ve learnt a lot from her. She is not only a very caring and patient teacher, but also a teacher who disciplines and instills moral values in us. Elevate Dance Acadamie is also a conducive environment for dance and is well-equipped too. Furthermore, there are many opportunities to grow and learn from such as the overseas immersion programmes and competitions. Every lesson is enjoyable and fulfilling and I am very glad to be in Elevate Dance Acadamie with Ms Langley.

My child Zoey enjoys her class with Teacher Maggie! She loves her weekly lessons at All that Jazz academy. Most importantly I can see the improvement in the way she expresses herself and her self confidence when performing.
I must say, this is the best dance academy in Singapore. My daughter is taking Junior Ballet, Jazz, and Tap combo class under Ms. Fang Yu. She is very dedicated and my daughter is progressing really well. As they are providing the combo class in junior level, my child is able to try out the three dance styles and see which one she has more interest and concentrate more on that style in future. Apart from this, I highly appreciate their service, they are highly responsive.
A nice dance school, my daughter looks forward to her lessons weekly. Very helpful teachers as well as over the counter personnel to attend to enquiries.
I’m updated monthly with videos on my child’s progress. A safe and nice environment.
We just wanted to share how much our daughter has enjoyed her time at All That Jazz. It’s been a wonderful experience, and we’re so grateful to the entire staff for all the support and kindness over the past year. The teachers have been amazing—so patient and encouraging—and their guidance has truly helped our daughter grow and gain confidence in her dancing.
A special thank-you for offering Acro dance classes for younger children. Our daughter, now 6, discovered her love for Acro when she was 5, back in the U.S. After moving here, it was a real challenge to find a studio that welcomed kids her age into Acro, so we were thrilled to find All That Jazz. You’ve created a space where young dancers can feel inspired and supported, and we’re so appreciative of that.

My daughter has been with them and she’s managed to get a Distinction for every level of Pop Vocals exam all the way up to Grade 5. The teachers here really know how to prep the kids—they make sure the technique is solid without killing the passion for singing.
What we love most are the massive opportunities they provide beyond just the classroom:
Local & Regional Stages: They don't just stay in the studio! My daughter has had amazing chances to perform and compete both locally and across the region.
Confidence Building: These international and local exposures have really leveled up her stage presence and confidence.
Truly a top-notch school with a passionate owner who cares for his students. If you want your child to excel while actually loving the journey, look no further. Highly recommended!
Very good experience and exposure for my young kids to join hip hop dance and sing class and see all other talented bigger kids to inspire my kids. John and his team are also very passionate and dedicated in their work, especially during the National Day production video. Recommended
My girl has been learned K-pop dancing in MADDspace for four years. She likes the teachers and makes friends here. Every Saturday she is so happy because having K-pop class on that day. And the class will have showcase at end of each term and dance camp in holidays and year end recital which allows children to have a chance to perform and greatly boost their confidence level. Good Job and keep up the great work MADDspace! 👍
My daughter has been a Maddspace-an since Jan 2023 (a little short of 6 months) and we are happy with the structured routine of classes every Saturday, with no surprise cancellations, a fun environment for children with the dedicated teachers and the entertaining dance showcase at the end of each term. She loves Ms Prisca's Hip-Hop classes and would be open to trying her Fav style K-pop in the future.
One thing we would like to see is more opportunities for her to showcase her performances in external forums and events.
Keep it up, Maddspace!

I’ve been taking Fusion Contemporary classes with Sharul since February this year, and it’s been such an inspiring journey. Sharul is a truly creative and original choreographer. Each class brings something new, both technically and emotionally.
What I really appreciate is how he always takes time at the end of every session to ask us for feedback and reflect on our takeaways, which helps us grow not just as dancers but as people.
Even though I only joined a few months before the recital in May, Sharul encouraged and supported me the whole way through. That experience was so meaningful, and it wouldn’t have been the same without his energy and belief in me.
Now, beyond being an amazing teacher, he feels like a friend that I can share my honest thoughts with. I’m so grateful to have found this space and community. Highly recommend his classes to anyone looking to dance with heart, intention, and creativity.
I have been attending Adult Contemporary Dance class taught by Emma for over a year now. Place is also centrally located & dance studios are clean too! ❤️❤️

How to Choose the Best Contemporary Dance Class for Your Child
Teacher experience: Check instructors’ contemporary dance backgrounds and their experience teaching children at your child’s age and ability level.
Training philosophy: Consider whether technical training, creative exploration or a balanced approach suits your child’s personality and goals.
Suitable level: Confirm that placement reflects age, prior dance experience and readiness, rather than relying on age alone.
Technical foundations: Look for instruction in alignment, coordination, strength, musicality, floor work and safe movement patterns.
Creative development: Ask whether children explore improvisation, choreography and personal expression alongside prescribed combinations and performance pieces.
Class attention: Consider whether class sizes let instructors observe movement closely and provide useful individual corrections.
Safety practices: Check how teachers supervise floor work, leaps, partner exercises and physically demanding progressions for younger dancers.
Studio facilities: Look for suitable flooring, clear rehearsal space, mirrors and equipment that support safe, focused practice.
Progress pathways: Review available levels, assessments, examinations or milestones so your child can continue developing without unnecessary pressure.
Performance exposure: Consider whether recitals, showcases or competitions match your child’s confidence, interest and readiness for stage work.
Parent feedback: Ask how instructors communicate progress, improvement areas, attendance expectations and suitable next steps to families.
Schedule fit: Compare lesson times, travel requirements, term calendars and policies for missed or replacement classes.
Fee clarity: Confirm tuition fees alongside registration, examination, costume, uniform, competition and performance-related expenses before enrolling.
Trial experience: Use a trial lesson to observe teaching style, class atmosphere, pacing and your child’s comfort level.
Child preferences: Choose an environment that supports confidence, creativity and lasting interest while respecting your child’s individual goals.
