Introduction

Finding family-friendly restaurants Singapore families can enjoy involves more than checking whether children’s meals are available. Parents may also consider seating, dietary needs, opening hours, accessibility, serving sizes and how comfortably a venue accommodates family gatherings. Some family-friendly restaurants and cafes in Singapore offer casual self-service dining, while others provide private rooms, birthday packages, outdoor spaces or menus spanning several cuisines. These differences can shape the experience for toddlers, older children and accompanying adults. This guide covers 10 family-friendly restaurants and cafes in Singapore, with overviews, Google reviews, locations, prices and contact details.

Stumbled upon PS Cafe by the Sea tucked inside East Coast Park and honestly this might be Singapore’s most underrated dinner spot. Came with friends for an evening out and the vibe alone made it worth it — white-washed walls, ocean blue upholstery, sea breeze through the patio and warm golden hour light. It feels like a beach house but make it luxe.

We ordered the aglio olio, margherita pizza, mushroom pizza, truffle fries, hot chocolate and dessert — everything was genuinely delicious. The truffle fries are non-negotiable, the pizzas were perfectly done and the hot chocolate sitting by the sea at dusk? Unreal.

The space is bright, airy and incredibly photogenic without trying too hard. Indoor and outdoor seating both have gorgeous views of the park and the sea beyond. It’s the kind of place where you come for one drink and end up staying three hours.

Definitely coming back — next time for brunch to catch it in the morning light.

Perfect place for breakfast in East Coast Park. Good menu with multiple food options from breakfast to brunch to lunch. Liked their sesame avocado Toast and Berry Pancakes.
They have indoor and outdoor seating and can be crowded on weekends.
The staff is courteous and can customise dishes for vegetarians.

I went to PS Cafe ECP for dinner, and the food was truly excellent. The ambiance was great, offering a beautiful view of the sea while dining, and the service was also excellent. The Turkish bread with herb cheese was delicious and a comforting starter. The Truffle fries were crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. The Chicken & Pesto Pizza had a good balance of cheese, chicken, and pesto flavors.

After a long time, I just returned to this Hard Rock cafe. Everything changes according to circumstances. But the taste remains the same, delicious and the taste has not changed since long ago. A good place to visit with family, friends and special moments and also with business partners. Never tried it? Come here and you definitely won't regret it. Especially try the ribs, which are a Hard Rock specialty. Don't forget to collect the items sold here, get a special discount price for dine-in visitors.

To the Management of Hard Rock Cafe Singapore,

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional experience my family and I had today while celebrating my brother Deepak’s birthday at your restaurant.

From the moment we arrived, your team displayed a level of warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality that truly stood out. The staff went out of their way to make the celebration special — attentive without being intrusive, thoughtful in every interaction, and consistently ensuring that we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their positive energy added so much joy to the occasion.

The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish served fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Combined with the vibrant ambience and signature Hard Rock atmosphere, the entire experience felt memorable and celebratory in every way.

We left with full hearts and big smiles, and it is all thanks to your amazing team. I sincerely recommend Hard Rock Cafe Singapore to anyone looking for great food, a lively environment, and service that goes above and beyond.

Thank you once again for making Deepak’s birthday truly unforgettable.

Warm regards,
Raj
Not been to Hard Rock for a while, I love their ribs and it's good to go on a night with live music, check their website if your keen on music, or not. The ribs are wonderful and a plate full, very filling. Music was entertaining and not too intrusive as you could still easily hold a conversation so good balance. We had booked but there were still places available throughout the evening, we went on a Tuesday. Service was a little slow but not overly so, could have just needed 1 more staff to match the number of tables.

TERRIBLE PLACE TO COME!!!

Please do not come if you never come here before.
Visited this cafe for the FIRST TIME due to good reviews from previous customers, BUT I WAS SHOCKED BY THE SERVICE AND FOOD HERE!!!
I came for lunch around 12pm , and wanted to order a chicky rice ball kids meal for my child. BUT I was told that ALL THE KIDS MEAL ARE SOLD OUT as of 12pm!!! by the way, they just started business at 10am only. And by 12pm all kids meals are sold out? Really?!?! Only left with the bolognese one, which my kid did not want. I wanted to order a ice latte, and the service staff told me “NO ICE LATTE, only hot latte. If u want ice drink, all inside the fridge”. This kind of service, WHERE TO FIND?? I do not expect this from a CAFE LIKE THIS IN GARDEN BY THE BAY.

PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR MANAGEMENT.

We got the beef combo set. Also ordered ice cream in cone as an extra desert. Minor note: if you are seating outside, beware of the sneaky birds thats actively seeking opportunities for easy meal 🙂

Dining Experience @ Swensen's.
.
Ambience is warm, unpretentious, and nostalgic. The bright spot lights and low ambient lights lend an intimate feel, with the cozy booth seats and sturdy wooden and metal furniture being comfortable, suitable for lingering meals. The signature Tiffany‑style lamps create a casual, family‑friendly atmosphere that hasn’t changed much since the early days.
.
Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Staff are patient and demonstrate good product knowledge, though you'll need to attract their attention to clear finished plates. Cleaning up is done leisurely. The manager is courteous and professional, and the team works smoothly during peak hours to fulfil orders quickly. Note there is a short wait for sundae creation.
.
Food is American and Italian cuisine. This casual dining restaurant balances comforting classics with fun seasonal items, and there's something for all ages, from breakfast to dinner. Portions are large and generous, with quality being consistently good. Prices are reasonable for weekly dining, budget about SGD $30 per person for a meal here.

Saturday 6pm. Crowd started. 3pax. Ordered fried 3p chicken.
1 pizza
1 steak
1 cheese fries
$96 in total, pricy.

It was crowded and long q for ice cream so we didn’t order dessert. Swensen is all about the ice cream.

The food is just so so, Ill rate it 3/5 for all cos maybe its everyday food im ordering, where else where will do it similarly good or better.

Will pizza hut does better than swensen pizza?
Hows aston or jacks place steak be diff from swensen steak?

Arnold and swensen fc would taste near similar, freshly fried.
Service is very fast.
Deco is cosy and nice.

Ill look else where for the hot food unfortunately.

Despite initial lukewarm reviews for Ka-Soh’s fish soup the longing for this nostalgic but yet iconic dish lured me right back to Tanglin Cookhouse to satisfy my cravings .

Served in a piping clay pot laid on a wooden basket , the presentation was impressive enough to whet my appetite. At the first glance, it had all the makings of a classic reborn. Unfortunately, that excitement was short-lived and the illusion did not last. As a loyal patron of the original eatery, I found the fish slices noticeably lacking their signature meatiness and succulent texture. The broth was decent , but somehow it fell a little short of the rich, soulful flavor I so fondly remembered. Though the claypot shallow dish kept the heat intact , it also meant a skimpier portion of soup, forcing me to pace my noodle-eating thus saving more broth to enjoy.

On contrary , the prawn paste fried chicken was a standout, coming tantalizingly close to the original recipe. Marinated deeply and fried to perfection, the crispy skin delivered incredible flavor in every bite.

The yam dessert ended things on a higher note. Generously drizzled with rich coconut milk and sprinkled with ginkgo nuts, it provided a comforting finish that offset my earlier disappointment with the fish soup.

With the heritage meal set running on a limited promotional period till end August, dining at Tanglin Cookhouse is still worth a trip down the memory lane .

One last note, advanced reservations are strongly advised during peak dining hours for this popular eatery. For guests opting for spice-laden and hot soupy dishes will likely find the air-conditioned interior far more comfortable than outdoor seating. Credit goes to the serving team who work tirelessly to provide attentive service despite being currently under staffed.

Wanted to order the slice fish bee hoon but from some of the negative review, I held back. Ordered the 2 course set lunch, it turned out pretty good & portion served is decent. The har jeong mid joints chicken wings is nice but I reckon that it is a little of the steep pricing @$15. Getting staff’s attention was challenging as they’re too busy during lunch time peak hrs. Nevertheless, they’re rather friendly

Visited Tanglin Cookhouse and tried some of the dishes from their collaboration with Ka Soh.

Unfortunately, we didn’t quite enjoy the Ka Soh Signature Fish Noodle Soup as the fish itself was a little too fishy for our liking.

The Ka Soh Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings were the highlight of the meal. Crispy, flavourful, and paired perfectly with the signature chilli sauce.

The Indian Butter Chicken tasted alright, but the chicken was kind of tough, so we didn’t finish it. The Turmeric Pilaf Rice with cranberries was fragrant and delicious, while the naan was not as soft as we had expected.

I like the yam orh nee. The heritage gula malaka sago pudding was not to our liking. We just ate a few scoops.

Great IKEA with lots of stock other than some promotional items. We came on a weekday evening and the crowd is always around but tolerable. Many young children running around so have to be careful. They run occasional promotions that can keep a look out for! Food is consistent with other IKEA branches and after buying $5 you can get free parking coupon.

Ikea is known for their meatballs. Do note that they no longer have the 20 pieces portion. Maximum is 16 meatballs. Their shop on level 1 sells their frozen meat balls and currently having a one for one sale for their chicken meat balls. This round when I went, I just found their meat balls to taste different. Standard seems to have dropped. If you are an Ikea member, don't forget to take your two free cups of coffee or tea. Membership access is no longer via their app but you have to scan a QR code at the cashier. Wonder why they decided to change a perfectly working system. Parking redemption is also now printed on your receipt instead of a separate parking coupon. When exiting the carpark, the scanning of the receipt to redeem your parking is on the left of the machine (an add-on) and not part of the machine (where one would normally scan a ticket). So just take note.

I had a really good experience at IKEA. There’s a wide variety of furniture and home items, and most of them are reasonably priced and affordable. It’s a great place if you’re setting up a home on a budget.

The food was also surprisingly good. I especially liked the meatballs and fried chicken wings. The almond chocolate dessert was really nice too.

One thing that stood out was the hot drinks — only $0.50, which is definitely worth it.

Overall, a very enjoyable place to shop and dine. Would definitely come back again!

My friend and I were here today (26 January 2026) for lunch and in particular, to partake in IKEA's for 2026 Chinese New Year's food promotions. We ordered (and shared) the following here today: a prime ribs with curly fries and mixed vegetables, and an 8 treasures lotus glutinous rice for mains; and later for dessert, a Fortune Chocolate Orange Cake. Overall the mains were good and value for money - albeit the ribs were a tad gamey, but the taste and texture for the lotus glutinous rice was simply excellent. The dessert - the Fortune Chocolate Orange Cake - was a "mousse-y" delight with a nice discernible orangey hint in the overall chocolatey mix. Service here was good and the dining ambience here was very nice - with lots of seating available and in air-conditioned comfort.

The Grub at Stevens, next to the Novotel is a perfect place for a happy hour beer. Having a good choice from the Tap, I recommend the HB (Hofbräuhaus) München as it comes in perfect quality and temperature. Enjoy this in a relaxing outdoor seating area if you had enough of aircon already. Came here for a weekday lunch. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we first arrived and more people coming in towards 1pm. They had set lunch promos and I highly recommend to take this option as I find it quite value for money. A starter, a main and a dessert/coffee. I knew from their days in AMK park to be famous for their har cheong gai waffle (prawn paste chicken waffle) and I ordered it again after so many years. It still tasted good. The mushroom was stick (not the watery type) and pretty decent sized. Overall, a good experience here.

My favourite restaurant. In fact, also my wife's favourite. The absolute best is the screw pepper pork dish, and the sour fish soup (suancai fish). We have tried almost every dish here, have not been disappointed. Get the membership and top-up money, it is worth it. Food is always fresh, and the service impeccable.
* Update Mar 2026: The service is amazing...they even passed me a small fan cos I was perspiring! What service.

Restaurant is very noisy during dinner peak hour even though it's on Thu. Staff r generally warm n friendly but they like to keep asking us how's d food. I know they r hospitable but repeated questions = annoying = -1* service.

Rice @$1.60++ a bowl is very costly!

Like d pumpkin doufu dish n giant-size iced lemon tea!!

The food is not bad..We didnt order too spicy. Pumpkin toufu stew is fantastic..definitely must try. Food generally good, ie not too oily and salty, so suits us! Overall atmosphere was ok. Deducted one star cos my seat is perpendicular to another seat, ie u can turn and see another head. Seat was ok, except the female patron keep flinging her hair and brushing her hair with fingers, so unhygenic and one should avoid a full table at this seat if u dun want to eat dandruff. 🫥

The staff are very attentive and the food is very delicious. Food comes out quick, and it tastes great. I love the stir fried pork and the golden broth fish hotpot dish. And you must order the rice, it goes so well with everything

Been to several locations and this branch is better than the rest. Patronised more than 3 times already and the taste is still same.

We came in around 3pm and luckily no need to wait for a table. Staff is attentive too!

A Favourite for Celebrations

Keef the Beef has become one of our favourite places to dine for a special occasion. The beef was exceptional—beautifully cooked, tender, flavourful, and paired with sides that were equally spot-on.

Even for the non-beef eaters, the crab, lobster and chicken pastas were wonderfully sumptuous and did not disappoint. The ambience was warm, elegant and just right for a celebration, making the whole meal feel extra special. The little children had food plated in planes too which made it enticing for them.

A lovely birthday touch from the team was the complimentary tiramisu— a thoughtful gesture that added to an already memorable experience. Great service!

We’ll definitely be back. For the beef, especially. 🥩✨

I came here for the first time after an event nearby, and we had such a delicious meal in a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. And the pasta was also delicious, the only downside was that the portion was a bit small. Our table server, Rachel, was also incredibly kind and attentive. Highly recommended for a family meal!

Had a really satisfying dinner at Keef The Beef. The quality of the food honestly exceeded expectations, especially if you’re a steak and beef lover.

The beef bone marrow was one of the highlights; rich, buttery, smoky and super indulgent when spread over the toasted bread. Definitely a must-order. The oysters were fresh, plump and clean tasting with just a squeeze of lemon.

The steak platter was cooked beautifully with a nice char on the outside while still juicy and tender inside. Loved that they served it with chimichurri sauce which helped balance the richness of the beef. Portions were generous too, great for sharing.

Sides were surprisingly good as well. The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy and comforting, while the fries were crispy and addictive. Even the salad helped refresh the palate in between all the heavier dishes.

Service was attentive and the overall atmosphere felt classy yet comfortable, making it suitable for date nights, gatherings or special occasions. Definitely not the cheapest steakhouse around, but the food quality and experience made it worth it. Would come back again for the bone marrow and steak.

Visited Keef to celebrate my hub’s birthday and had a great experience. The ambience was lovely though we were seated at the outer area, it actually suited us perfectly since we brought our boys along.
The food was excellent. The Angus steak was grilled to perfection - tender and flavourful. We also tried the grilled stingray fin as an appetiser, which was a first for us. Texture and taste similar to grilled cuttlefish, and we enjoyed it.
The kids were also happy with their barramundi and mac & cheese, which made the entire meal enjoyable for us.
To end the meal, we had lemon tart and chocolate lava cake, both were delicious. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary slice of cake for my hub’s birthday.🥰
Overall, it was a very pleasant visit to Keef. We’ll definitely be back to try more of their steaks!

Excellent steak house with good sides options, extensive drink menu and attentive service. Steak is good for two big eaters or three regular eaters.

We enjoyed the bone marrow for appetizer. Tiramisu and chocolate lava cake were very satisfying, nothing fancy but hit the spot just right. Cocktails selection is limited but executived well. Wine and hard liquor menu was extensive with some reasonably price items.

Overall great for a date or fancy family outing.

Gathering at Harry's Tai Seng provides a straightforward, standard option for a casual post-work get-together or informal group meeting. Located within the Tai Seng industrial and commercial precinct, the outlet offers a typical bar and dining setup designed to accommodate medium to large groups looking for a convenient venue in the area.
The menu features a standard selection of western casual fare, including burgers, pizzas, pasta, and common bar bites like chicken wings and fries. In terms of taste and presentation, the food items are basic and unexceptional, serving primarily as standard pub snacks to go along with group conversations. The quality remains predictable, offering typical commercial bar food that neither stands out nor deviates from standard pub expectations.
Similarly, the beverage list consists of the usual draft beers, house wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic options commonly found across most commercial bar chains. The drink offerings are routine, with standard pourings and conventional flavor profiles that are functional for a casual toast but otherwise unremarkable.
The indoor and outdoor seating areas provide sufficient space for attendees to sit and chat without major issues. Overall, Harry's Tai Seng serves as an accessible, middle-of-the-road location for a group gathering, offering a basic setting where the primary focus remains on the social interaction rather than the culinary experience.

Low key Harry's. Wasn't too crowded. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Everything as expected from Harry's.
•1H 2026: 3/5 (Good). My second time at this branch, which is easy to visit with the abundant and affordable parking, as well as quiet atmosphere (in the day time). Dedicated waiter and nice menu change - tried some of the local fusion this time and particularly enjoyed the Barramundi with sambal.

How to Choose the Best Family-Friendly Restaurants and Cafes in Singapore for Your Child

  • Children’s menu: Check whether portions, flavours and available dishes suit your child’s age, appetite and usual food preferences.
  • Dietary suitability: Confirm allergen information, halal status, vegetarian choices or other dietary requirements directly with the restaurant before visiting.
  • Seating comfort: Consider whether tables, high chairs and seating arrangements accommodate children, prams and the adults dining with them.
  • Venue atmosphere: Choose a noise level and dining format that suit your child’s temperament, patience and comfort in public spaces.
  • Safety features: Consider supervision needs, hot serving areas, outdoor boundaries, stairs and movement around self-service counters or buffets.
  • Service format: Decide whether table service, quick service, self-service or buffet dining is easiest for your family to manage.
  • Meal timing: Compare opening hours and kitchen schedules with naps, school routines and the times your child usually eats comfortably.
  • Location access: Account for nearby MRT stations, parking, walking distance and sheltered routes, especially when travelling with younger children.
  • Waiting arrangements: Ask about reservations and expected queues, since long waits can affect hungry or tired children more than adults.
  • Family facilities: Check for baby-changing rooms, high chairs, play areas or pram access where these amenities matter to your outing.
  • Menu balance: Review whether the menu offers suitable mains, sides, drinks and desserts rather than relying on one child-oriented dish.
  • Spice flexibility: For strongly flavoured cuisines, ask whether spice levels or sauces can be adjusted for younger or sensitive diners.
  • Celebration support: Compare cake rules, decorations, private spaces, minimum spending and activity options when organising a child’s birthday meal.
  • Outdoor seating: Consider shade, weather protection, traffic, insects and pet policies before selecting an alfresco table with children.
  • Price clarity: Check menu prices, service charges, GST, deposits and minimum spending so the full family cost is understood beforehand.
  • Current details: Verify menus, promotions, operating hours and facility access with the restaurant, as these details can change between visits.
