I took a Japanese language class with Lingo after taking it with another school. The consultant ask me patiently if I knew any Japanese alphabets and when I said that I don't know, he recommended me to take a Beginner class first to first learn Hira and Kata before jumping into Elementary class. I did that and it is completely changed my perspective on learning Japanese. The other school ask us to do self revision to pick up the pace. While Lingo guide me through the intracity of Japanese alphabets system. I recommend anyone to go for Lingo if your purpose is to learn Japanese the correctly and not the casual way.

I had a very positive experience with the Goethe-Institut Singapore. My wife needed to take the A1 German exam on short notice because of an urgent visa requirement, and the team was incredibly accommodating. They kindly arranged a special earlier exam date for us, which helped us tremendously.

Everything was handled in a very professional and friendly way, and the entire process felt well organized and smooth. A special thank you to Ms. Hupman, who conducted the exam. She was extremely professional, supportive, and made the experience comfortable for my wife.

The institute is also in a very convenient central location with great facilities, and the overall atmosphere is both professional and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Goethe-Institut Singapore to anyone looking to learn German or take a German language exam.

Learning German with Anja has been a genuinely enjoyable experience. Her focus on teaching you the language through things you're actually interested in - weaving in German culture and drawing comparisons to local culture makes the learning feel relevant and personal.

What really stands out to me as well is how much Anja invests in her students beyond the classroom, taking time to genuinely get to know each of us in the group and organises activities to bring everyone together which creates a real sense of community among learners.

I’ve been having online Spanish lessons with Blanca and I’ve learned so much from her. She is an excellent teacher who really knows how to explain things clearly and patiently. Her lessons are well-structured, easy to follow, and very encouraging.

What I especially appreciate is that she always provides extra resources and practice materials, which really helps reinforce what we learn during lessons. Learning Spanish with Blanca has been enjoyable, effective, and motivating. Highly recommended!

I've been taking Adult German A1 classes with Anja this past year and it has been an incredibly supportive, well-paced and well thought out curriculum. Anja takes care to create a light hearted and open environment where students are free to practice and laugh at their own mistakes.

She has over a decade of experience teaching German to both young learners and adults locally, and is extremely adaptable and tailors her classes to fit students of different demographics. I always appreciate the cultural nuances and little tidbits and fun facts she dispenses during class.
Started my Spanish language journey with Maria back in April and so glad I did! We learn in a small group setting which is perfect for engagement and Maria does such an amazing job explaining the language, culture, and helping me with all my many questions.

There is a good balance of grammar, vocab, written/ reading exercises, speaking opportunities, and games.

Attending this Spanish class with Maria and our lovely group has been a weekly highlight for me this year! Can't wait to continue.

How to Choose the Best German Class for Your Child

  • Teacher experience: Check that teachers have suitable language proficiency and experience teaching children in your child’s age group.
  • Learning purpose: Decide whether your child needs enrichment, school support, Mother Tongue in Lieu instruction or examination preparation.
  • Starting level: Ask whether beginners join a foundation class and whether experienced learners complete a placement assessment first.
  • Age suitability: Confirm that lesson length, materials, topics and activities suit your child’s developmental stage and attention span.
  • Curriculum structure: Look for clear progression through vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Class size: Consider whether group size gives children enough time to speak, ask questions and receive correction.
  • Teaching language: Ask how much German is used and how teachers support beginners needing explanations or reassurance.
  • Learning style: Compare structured teaching with play, songs, role play, visual materials and conversation-based practice.
  • Speaking practice: Check that learners regularly practise pronunciation, listening and spontaneous conversation, rather than mainly completing worksheets.
  • Progress feedback: Ask how teachers assess development, correct recurring difficulties and update parents about suitable next steps.
  • School alignment: For academic learners, confirm that teaching reflects the relevant school syllabus, assessment format and expected level.
  • Examination pathway: Check that preparation covers the Goethe-Zertifikat, IGCSE, IB, O-Level or other planned assessment.
  • Class format: Consider whether classroom, private, online or blended lessons suit your child’s confidence and interaction needs.
  • Schedule access: Compare lesson timings, travelling distance, online access and term dates with family commitments.
  • Fee clarity: Confirm tuition fees, registration charges, books, materials, placement tests and make-up arrangements before enrolling.
  • Child comfort: Use a trial or introductory session to observe your child’s response to the teacher’s pace and manner.

Excellent customer service from MindFlex Home Tuition Megan. She was very patient, responsive, and took the time to understand my child’s learning needs and goals before recommending a tutor. Megan provided suitable options and helped us find a good English tutor who matched my child’s learning style. The whole process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I appreciate her dedication and prompt follow-up throughout. Highly recommend Megan to parents looking for reliable support in finding the right tutor for their child.

I’m very happy with the tutoring service arranged by Alyssa and her team. Both tutors (Xinbo and Ban Cheng) have been great and my child really enjoys the lessons with them. We can already see some improvement, which is very encouraging.

Thank you for being so responsive and helpful throughout the arrangement process. Really appreciate the support and would definitely recommend them to other parents looking for reliable tutors.

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.

Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tutor who genuinely cares and delivers excellent results

Friendly, pleasant, swift, helpful and most importantly not pushy
