Introduction

Deciding what to do with kids in Singapore can be challenging when every child has different interests, energy levels and comfort zones. From creative studios and wildlife encounters to active adventures, museums, karaoke rooms and indoor entertainment venues, families have many options to consider. The right activity can encourage curiosity, movement or self-expression while creating meaningful family time. Before booking, consider age requirements, supervision, accessibility, session length and total costs. This guide covers 10 things to do with kids in Singapore, with overviews, Google reviews, locations, pricing and contact details to help parents find a suitable outing.

1. Singapore Zoo

Overview of the Business

Singapore Zoo, part of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, combines wildlife encounters with guided and hands-on learning for families and school groups. Its open-concept rainforest setting houses over 4,200 animals. Public activities include presentations, keeper talks, feeding sessions, KidzWorld play, guided tours and backstage experiences. Zookeeper For A Day offers a Kid Edition for ages six to twelve and a Junior Edition recommended from age thirteen. School programmes cover animal adaptations, rainforest diversity, wildlife care, careers and exhibit design, while SPED groups can arrange an overnight camp. Conservation education underpins these experiences, and the wildlife parks hold EAZA and ZAA accreditation.

Why Parents Choose Singapore Zoo

  • Over 4,200 animals live within an open-concept rainforest zoo environment.
  • Mandai wildlife parks hold accreditation from both EAZA and ZAA.
  • School programmes connect wildlife study with science, culture and conservation topics.
  • KidzWorld combines animal encounters, sensory activities and water play opportunities.
  • An accessibility guide and wheelchair-accessible tram spaces support inclusive family visits.
  • Public programmes provide direct learning from keepers and animal care teams.
  • Behind-the-scenes experiences introduce husbandry, nutrition and wildlife healthcare work.
  • Guided encounters connect animal observation with behaviour, care and conservation.

What we loved

* A beautiful zoo with spacious, natural-looking habitats that make you feel like you’re on a safari.
* Very easy to get to, and buying tickets on the official website was quick and convenient.
* Don’t miss the keeper talks! Throughout the day, the staff share interesting facts about different animals, making the visit much more enjoyable.
* There are also scheduled feeding sessions. It’s the best time to see the animals active and a great opportunity to take amazing photos and videos.
* The zoo is huge but well designed, so everything is easy to reach on foot.
* The gardens, trees, and tropical plants make the whole experience even more relaxing.

Overall, Singapore Zoo is one of the best zoos we’ve visited. The animals appear well cared for, the park is beautifully maintained, and it’s an unforgettable experience for both adults and children.

I enjoyed my visit to the Singapore Zoo. The grounds are large, lush, clean, and feel relatively natural compared to what I expected. The enclosures seem designed to somewhat replicate the animals’ natural environments rather than simply displaying them openly.

One trade-off with this approach is that the animals are not always easy to spot. Some were resting away from view, hiding from the heat, or blending into their surroundings. While this can be slightly disappointing when you are hoping to catch a glimpse of a favourite animal, it also makes the experience feel more natural and less staged.

Although the zoo is large, it did not feel crowded even on a public holiday, as both the animals and visitors are fairly well distributed throughout the park.

The zoo is still very big, and I ended up walking quite a large number of steps even with tram rides. I would strongly recommend making use of the tram, especially when visiting with family or older relatives, as the walking can add up quickly and become tiring in the heat and humidity.

Personally, I found the visit enjoyable but also quite tiring due to the size. If comfort and a more relaxed pace are priorities, I found River Wonders easier to complete and more sheltered, though the zoo offers a wider variety of animals and a more expansive experience.

We enjoyed the Breakfast in the Wild at “Ah Meng” restaurant, featuring a large buffet spread of Asian and western cuisine. Many vegetarian options too. The animals this time included: penguins, reptiles, owl, and two orangutans. It included many photo opportunities along with interesting facts.

The Zoo Adventure Tour Group was a perfect way for my elderly parents to enjoy the whole zoo from the buggy. Our guide Ida was fantastic in giving us insightful information about each animal and giving us ample time at each viewing to enjoy. This tour includes: exclusive elephant feeding, goat grooming, personalised tour. Ida made sure that my parents had rest stops and brought them through ac environments to cool off. Thank you so much for your sincere care Ida.

If you are looking for a quiet spot for lunch, I highly recommend checking out Forage at the resort near by. Reservations are recommended.

What a fantastic day out at the zoo! Everything was so well-organised, from the clear signposts to the smooth crowd flow, which made exploring a breeze. The grounds were spotless—clean pathways, well-kept enclosures, and plenty of shaded rest spots that made the whole experience comfortable even under the sun.

It’s also wonderfully family-friendly. We noticed thoughtful touches everywhere: stroller-friendly paths, clean restrooms, and plenty of spots for kids to take breaks. The staff were warm and helpful, which added to the welcoming vibe.

The animals looked healthy and active, and the enclosures were designed to give you great views without feeling cramped. Watching the giraffes up close and seeing the playful antics of the orangutans were absolute highlights.

Overall, it’s not just a zoo—it’s a place where families can spend the whole day learning, laughing, and making memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, well-run, and genuinely enjoyable outing!

Meao meao meao 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛.. CNY visit with VIP access at the Singapore Zoo. We saw many animals including reptiles, turtles, and frogs while exploring the Fragile Forest. Frogs are important because they help indicate the water quality of an area. We could pet goats and even touch a snake during the animal show. Finished the visit with a nice break at Ah Meng Restaurant. 🐸🐍🐢

me and my partner visited for the mahjong tile resin workshop using sg’s culture pass and we really enjoyed our experience here

the provided materials were so much more than enough to decorate our tiles! there’s a wide variety of good quality material and our tiles ended up sooooo stunning. the space was vibrant yet neat, and definitely big enough for bigger groups

the staff member really led us through the whole process so patiently which we are so grateful for as people who are artistically challenged… even though we took longer than the session’s duration, the staff member was very kind enough ti let us continue working on our tiles while completing other store tasks and still helping us when we needed!! i loved learning more about the sg art scene from him as well

thank you for making this experience so amazing!!❤️ please let us know the name of the staff member who led us through this session so we can thank him again 🙂

My friends and I had fun doing the resin koi pond workshop. The instructor was very friendly and patient, giving good advice and assisting us along the way. There’s plenty of resources and colours to choose from!

Just make to have a design / reference photo before you go. The workshop is only 1.5h so don’t waste time thinking!!

Workshop was done indoor which is something to note (Not sure how unsafe uv resin fumes are)

Attended the koi resin workshop today and it was fun! Loved that there were many options given to us like glitters, sand, little decorative pieces. the instructions were also clear. my mom and I had lots of fun.

the only feedback is that our facilitator was conducting two different workshops simultaneously which meant that our facilitator had their hands full and couldn’t provide as much support as we wanted. there were times where we needed help and we had to wait for a while before we received help to resolve it.

also, my mom’s resin developed massive bubble while curing and luckily she pulled it out of the UV immediately upon noticing and the bubble fortunately did not set. while it was not the facilitator’s fault that this happened, it would have been less of a shock if we were informed to keep an eye on our resin while it is curing.

otherwise, it was lot of fun and i recommend everyone to have a go!

I had single handedly the best time doing their cyanotyping workshop!! I was making a gift for my girlfriend which was a bit ambitious but Andrea and Zheshi were SO accommodating. I ended up taking an extra hour (supposed to finish 8.30, finished my project 9.30) and they were so helpful all throughout. I told them I could come back another time but they said it was okay. Great supplies, I love how much freedom they allowed with the project and just how encouraging they were throughout. Also SO funny and kind. Looking forward to coming back!!!

Location & Availability

Classes are available at Pearl’s Hill Terrace, near Chinatown MRT Exit C.

Selected workshops cost $12 to $60, while the three-session Watercolour Fundamentals programme costs $240. Private events are quoted according to the chosen activity and group size.

I arrived 15 minutes after they opened and stay for about an hour and a half and there was no one else. They have options such as darts, bowling, and karaoke.

You have to get a drink to play darts and I got a water which was SGD $6 then I used cash to insert into the dart machine. It takes $2, $5, and $10. They have pretty loud music but I’d say it’s good music.

We be organized a corporate event in the office. The staff was very welcoming, professional, and accommodative. Provided flexibility around arrangements. The venue itself is great, diverse entertainments alavailable. The cards choice is relatively poor, but the rest, bowling, basketball, pool, are in a good condition and we'll maintained. For catering the guys have arranged for us proper food, not the usual finger deep fried uneatable stuff which you may get a corporate event. Good choice of drinks, too. Recommend

Came here for a 200-pax corporate event in the morning that included a catered buffet lunch.

The whole place is painted black and has plenty of neon lighting and a good sound system.

Entry is only possible from 10am, so note if you're organizing your own corporate event here.

The whole premise is segregated into zones:
1. Extreme Left "aisle": Stage + Bar + Booth/Loose seatings with low bar tables + Darts

2. Left Bowling cluster : 6 lanes

3. Centre aisle: Claw machines x 3 + Arcade machines x 3 + Table Futsal + Air hockey table + Billiard table + Basket hoop machines x 3

4. Right Bowling cluster : 4 lanes

5. Extreme Right cluster - Billiard tables x 3 + 4 KTV booths

- There is no single zone that can allow everyone in a corporate event to gather and see (although they can hear) an MC talking/ prize-giving ceremony. The next best areas are the stage area and left bowling cluster.

= The bowling lanes are shorter than standard lengths. This is not really a problem, and in fact increases the "strike" rate 🙂

+ Collect your bowling shoes directly from the shelf to the right of the cashier counter. No need to approach the counter at all.

+ There are many (4) billiard tables!

+ The claw machines are free-flow, and if there's a problem (e.g. jammed toy), the technician is on stand-by.

- The seating area for each bowling lane is quite small and tight, and spaced very close to adjacent lanes.

= KTV booths - free-flow for corporate event but normal rates are $2 per song, or $6 for 15 min, $10/ 30 min, $16/ 60 min, $24/ 90min. Anything above 60 minutes is essentially charged at the same per-min rate.

+ Catered food is good and spicy options are good. Drinks from the bar are charged separately.

= Bar menu:
- Chicken bites ($18)
- Fish nuggets ($16)
- Sausage platter ($25)
- Prawn twisters w chilli mayo dip ($18)
- French fries ($14)
- Potato wedges ($15)

Tip: Toilets are the extreme right of the premise.

Parking: Orchard Central, Orchard Gateway, and 313@Somerset have no per entry fee available !! (Orchard Central cheapest, then Orchard Gateway, then 313 (separate and later building) most $$):

1. Orchard Central: Mon – Fri: 6pm to 12am, as well as Sat, Sun & PH whole day: $5.03 for 1st 2.5 hours, $1.82 for subseq 30min

2. Orchard Gateway: Mon – Fri: 6pm to 12am, as well as Sat, Sun & PH whole day: $5.14 for 1st 2.5 hr, $1.93 for subseq 30min

3. 313@Somerset (L6/7): 11am to 11pm: $3.00 – 1st hour, $1.28 – subseq 30 min

Location & Availability

Activities are available at 313@Somerset in Orchard, daily from 10am to 1am.

Price Range

Bowling costs $11 to $17 per game per person, depending on the day and time. Shoe rental, a 10% service charge and 9% GST are excluded.

This is the best of both worlds where you can spend quality time with cats and taking the afternoon to do a little art. If you are lucky, you may get a lap cat as you focus on creating your next master piece.

Special shout out to Hanis, Naj and Ayu for the wonderful service and hospitality. Hanis introduced each cat friend and their stories so patiently. We had fun feeding the cats too as they affectionately came close to have their treat. All the cats there are super cute and they are definitely picture ready.

We decided to throw a bachelorette party at Wildflower Studio for my friend since we’re all cat lovers, and it turned out to be an incredible and fun experience!

As a cat owner myself, I noticed how well-behaved and well-groomed the cats are here – it’s clear they’re well cared for and trained to be the perfect companions for anyone who adopts them.

Thanks a ton for such a wonderful time, and I can’t wait for my third visit!

We had such a great time at SuperPark! Our whole family enjoyed it so much, not just the kids, but the adults too. There were so many fun activities and everything was very well organized.

The service was also excellent. At the trampoline area, there was one section I was too scared to jump into, but a staff member named Angie kept encouraging me patiently. In the end, I managed to overcome my fear and finally jumped in — and after that I did it many more times haha! It turned out to be so much fun. Brought my 6-year-old here to celebrate his birthday on a weekday and we had such a great experience! The park is newly renovated, and I really appreciated that there are dedicated play areas for younger kids, so they can fully enjoy themselves too.

There were also plenty of areas perfect for older kids and even adults, making it a great spot for the whole family to have fun together.

The staff members were nice and friendly throughout our visit, which made the experience even more pleasant. The place was also clean and well-maintained.

What stood out most was the attention to safety — staff were diligent in checking height limits before allowing kids onto certain play areas, which gave me peace of mind as a parent.

Overall, a fun and safe place for kids (and adults!) to burn off energy. Highly recommended for families! ❤️

This place is Awesome!!

Had my doubts about hosting a kids party here for 10 year olds. Thought someone would fall, cry, or some other disorganised mayhem. But the team here is very professional and guided our very large party seamlessly through all the activities and the day was absolutely PERFECTO!!

Highly recommend for kids of any age as they can go tandem with parents on the zip. Safety is top notch and the crew is reassuring and kind in guiding both adults and parents through all the nerve racking activities. I can’t thank them enough!! TIL next time.

Epic, served by azliana rokiah weaver bella Tristan shafiq hisham. Sometimes the greatest adventures aren’t the ones you pay for, they’re the ones where truth meets someone’s heart. Real conversations about purpose, eternity, and our connection with the Father. And what surprised me is how open people were. Not religion. Not performance. But grace; the free gift of God Jesus Christ. Grateful for every moment.

Fantastic, the fun starts when you take the buggy ride up the hill, then strap yourself in for the tree climb as you will work hard but definitely be rewarded when you complete it. The jump at the end is great then back up the stair tower and enjoy the zipline that is brilliant
The zip line is great and starts from a very high point, you are taken with a buggy there.

The queue / waiting time might be a bit long, 15-45 minutes, usually 5 people go every 10 minutes. They also have an express pass but I don't think it's worth it especially if you go only once.

They also have a climbing zone suitable for adults and children over 6 years or something like that and bouncing area for smaller kids.

Location & Availability

Activities begin at Siloso Beach, with daily operating hours from 11am to 6.30pm.

If you want something a bit different for your feed, this place is quite unique. It’s a bit of a niche attraction, but people love seeing the rare tortoises up close. It’s a very chill, low-key spot that’s quite affordable compared to the big theme parks.

Unique place if you are interested in tortoises, although there is a limited range of things to do as the space is quite small. There is still a good variety of tortoises, and one highlight is that you can feed them. They are not shy at all and are quite greedy, so they will readily eat from your hand, which makes for a fun and interactive experience.

That said, the place feels more like a backyard farm rather than a proper attraction or museum. For example, their tanks and ponds are kept without filtration, and the water in certain areas appears rather dirty. I understand this could be due to cost constraints or temporary limitations, as they may not want to set up permanent infrastructure or electrical points if they know they will be relocating.

Hopefully, when they move to a new location, there will be improvements in terms of filtration systems, overall cleanliness, and facility standards to better support the animals and enhance the visitor experience.

We went to the Turtle Live Museum on the last weekend before it closed to the public by 28th Feb 2025. The place is really a haven for the many different turtles and it even has a Guinness World Record for the most number of turtles in a place of over 1000 live species and more than 3000 turtles.

Place is simple but turtles are cared for. There are feeds of vegetables to pallets that you can buy to feed the free roaming turtles. Some of them are kept in tanks as they can be territorial and have more space to themselves. Some of the bigger species are kept in enclosures. They have huge snapping turtles and soft shell turtles, as well as one giant tortoise free roaming which seem to prefer vegetable stems to other foods.

Overall a pleasant experience and nice place to let the family get to know more about these turtles.

Finally step our foot there, so unreal to be able to be so close to the big and small tortoise, feeding is easy for visitors too, just buy their tortoise food (pellet or vegetable) at $2 each and feed to the turtles. For parents who are bringing children there, remember to spray mosquito repellent.
Worth visiting and will definitely come again. My little one asks to visit every weekend after today’s first time visit.

There’s a Sunday cafe called “Touch Wood”worth visiting too, it’s just down the road. Moving in 2 weeks time, what a pity!

Great place for a quick retreat with your young one, where turtles (not all, but some) are allowed to roam somewhat freely. The place is not huge, but tidy enough. Is it worth it? Subjective. If you treat this as one of the conservation activity you would like the next generation to be able to enjoy, it is worth while. There’s no need to buy ticket online, you can just get them on the spot.

There Art science Museum consists of several theme for visitors. Each theme combines digital, technology, sense , sound, visual to provide new knowledgeb which found in one place. This is where explorers spent years in discovery, putting all together where visitors could learn, explore and discover the human body, ocean, digital art and much more.

The entrance fees is reasonable affordable. It's more cost effective to purchase the bundle ticket for all three themes than to purchase single ticket for individual theme.

Come early as there is a limit on the bundle tickets for three themes for each day.

The museum itself is a beautifully designed architectural gem! When we visited, there were three separate exhibits available. Access to all of them costs around $77 per adult, but if you're on a budget, there is still plenty to see and do for free.
If you have kids, don't miss the fantastic children's area right next to the ticket counters—my child happily spent two hours there enjoying all the interactive activities! Also, be sure to head up to the 4th floor to catch the free science documentaries playing in the cinema. Highly recommended for families!
✨ A must-visit in Singapore!

The ArtScience Museum is one of the most unique museums I've ever visited. The stunning lotus-shaped architecture is iconic, and the exhibitions perfectly blend art, science, and technology in creative, immersive ways. Every room offers something different, making the experience fun, interactive, and inspiring.

Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or with family, this place is definitely worth adding to your Singapore itinerary. Don't forget your camera there are amazing photo spots everywhere! ⭐️📸

Highly recommended! 🌸

I visited the ArtScience Museum without booking tickets in advance, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. Even without access to the main galleries, there were still plenty of things to see and do.

One of the highlights was a free film screening, which gave a great introduction to the museum’s unique mix of art, science, and technology. It was both informative and visually engaging.
I also explored several open installations and events located in the basement level, which were accessible without an entry ticket. These areas still captured the creative and futuristic vibe the museum is known for.

Overall, the ArtScience Museum in Marina Bay has a very welcoming and accessible atmosphere. If you’re visiting the Marina Bay area and looking for a cultural experience without planning ahead or buying tickets in advance, this is definitely a great stop to consider.

The ArtScience Museum, the largest Museum of Singapore, is located in Marina Bay in Singapore.
It was opened in 2011 by Singapore's PM - Lee Hsien Loong.

It features exhibitions that blend art, science, culture and technology.
It also hosts touring exhibitions curated by other museums, in addition to a permanent exhibition created in conjunction with art collective team Lab.

Unfortunately for us, our visit during 2023 did not reveal that in 2025, it was going for partnership with PGLang's when the museum was rebranded.

The architecture now is said to be a form reminiscent of a lotus flower, featuring an exterior made of fibre-reinforced plastic on top of a steel lattice, looking like 'The Welcoming Hand of Singapore'.

Art Science Museum is anchored by a round base in the middle, with ten extensions referred to as "fingers" in the shape of a flower. Each
finger denotes a gallery space sporting skylights at its 'fingers - tips'.
It has 21 gallery spaces covering 64,583 square feet.

Rainwater is harvested and channelled down the centre of the building, flowing through its bowl-shaped roof into a reflecting pond at the lowest level of the building.

The only permanent exhibition in the museum is 'Future World', which was created in collaboration with art collective team Lab.
The museum also hosts progammes, along with exhibitions, including screenings at its Cinema and VR Gallery.

Immediately after the entry, there is a relaxing area of a cafe, where one get a bite ir two.

It was an interesting visit for the 6 of us, which took about a couple of hours of a warm morning.

Location & Availability

Programmes are available at Bayfront Avenue and online, with schedules varying by activity.

Price Range

Educational sessions start from $80, while selected tours and group experiences cost up to $178 or $180 per session. Future World admission starts from $5 per student and $20 for resident concession tickets.

Went here with my friends o today and honestly, best KTV night we’ve had in a long time.

*What made it 5 stars:*
- *Rooms*: Super clean, spacious, and the sound system was insane. Mic quality was crystal clear, zero echo. Even the "bad singers" sounded decent

- *Song list*: Massive. Everything from old Mandarin classics to brand new K-pop, English pop, and Cantopop. Updates were current and search was fast.
- *Service*: Staff were so quick. Drinks refilled before we even finished them, and they helped us set up our playlist without making us feel rushed.

Queued to register at the counter but was ignored and brushed off by the person at the counter, claiming that somebody behind came first. Was really confused but both the staff on duty did not explain or clarify and basically just ignored us. Not sure if the confusion came from there being two entrance doors and no clear signage about where to enter but there was definitely no one else waiting inside the store except for the people already in a line at the counter, whom we queued behind.

It was really off-putting to be treated like we were invisible without an attempt to clarify the situation when we were clearly confused by the claim that someone else had come first. Even if there was really a misunderstanding and there were people queuing somewhere else (though in such a small store you can see everybody inside), they could have clarified the queue system instead of dismissing us immediately and treating us negatively.

Overall, really disappointing experience and would not want to return.

For over 4 decades, the Singapore Science Centre has been the fixture of our country's audacious foray into science & technology, centred right at the heart of Jurong East. This place held so many memories for me & for Primary School students who grew up in the 2000s & I am so glad the old whismical installations of the Kinetic Garden were retained. Every perimeter of the Centre is dedicated to fun exhilarating exhibits & fascinating trivia guests can take home. 40 years forward, SSC is not stopping in their relentless mission to deliver wonder for families.

The Science Centre Singapore is truly a great-value, clean, spacious place that’s perfect for families with young children. Instead of taking your kids to crowded indoor playgrounds in shopping malls, this is where they can touch, play, explore, and learn in the most fun and natural way.

The space is airy and well-organised, with plenty of interactive zones like light, water, robotics, nature and more. Children can freely run around while parents feel completely at ease because everything is designed to be educational and safe.

This is definitely a spot I will keep coming back to whenever I visit Singapore, because every visit feels like a new experience for both kids and adults. Highly recommended for families travelling with little ones!

How to Choose the Best Things to Do with Kids in Singapore

  • Child interests: Choose activities that reflect what naturally holds your child’s attention, including animals, art, movement, music or technology.
  • Age suitability: Check age, height, weight and accompaniment rules before booking, so the experience suits your child’s readiness.
  • Confidence levels: Consider whether your child prefers quiet exploration, guided participation or energetic group activities with unfamiliar people.
  • Staff experience: Ask whether instructors, facilitators or operators have suitable experience guiding children in the relevant age group.
  • Safety standards: Review supervision, equipment, briefings and emergency procedures, especially for climbing, wildlife encounters and physically demanding attractions.
  • Group sizes: Smaller groups can offer more individual guidance, while larger sessions may suit confident children who enjoy social activities.
  • Learning value: Decide whether the outing should support creativity, scientific curiosity, communication, physical confidence or relaxed family recreation.
  • Activity structure: Check whether an experience is guided, semi-guided or self-directed, as children vary in the instruction they prefer.
  • Sensory environment: Consider lighting, music, crowds, animals and physical contact for children who prefer calmer, predictable settings.
  • Facility quality: Look for suitable equipment, clean spaces, rest areas and weather protection to support a comfortable family visit.
  • Accessibility needs: Confirm step-free access, accessible washrooms, mobility support and activity adaptations before booking for children needing assistance.
  • Travel convenience: Compare MRT access, parking, walking distance and journey time, especially when travelling with siblings or extra belongings.
  • Session timing: Match the duration and start time to meals, naps, school schedules and your child’s usual energy levels.
  • Booking flexibility: Review reservation requirements, rescheduling conditions, refund policies and walk-in arrangements before committing to a date.
  • Total costs: Check whether admission, materials, equipment, footwear, service charges, GST or accompanying-adult tickets affect your family expense.
