Me and My Friend had a very wonderful baking experience in ABC Cooking Funan Mall!!! They provided excellent service, and the instructor Mr Amir is super nice and helpful too! Recommend to someone who wish to kick start their baking journey
Came here for a trial lesson with a colleague who is already a member at ABC cooking studio. We had Becca as our instructor and she was amazing. She was so patient and informative for newbie bakers like me. The 2 hours of baking didn’t even feel like 2 hours. Absolutely enjoyed ourselves! Their packages are quite reasonable and the privileges for members are very good!

JUST FIND BECCA and sign your package with her! I can’t thank her enough! I did a trial last few months back and suddenly spark my interest back again to bake. I reach out to her once again and she’s amazingly accommodating, very helpful and kind . Plus point to find out that she’s from a great French pastry background and from a 5 star hotel prior, it shows how much she knows the techniques, I have very stiff hands but my cake turn out perfect with her lessons!

My preschoolers enjoyed the class a lot, we made chocolate bread and heart chocolates. It's quite amazing the young kids can do most steps by themselves. Things are weighed out in packages so it's easy to just mix and bake. End products are cute and tasty.

We had such a wonderful time at the Gobblin Club baking class! The session was fun, and perfectly organized from start to finish. The instructor was warm, and incredibly patient, making sure everyone—from beginners to little ones—felt confident and involved throughout the process.
We especially loved the hands-on experience of mixing, shaping, and baking the cookies ourselves. And of course—the final results were absolutely delicious!

We had an amazing time at Little Cook! My little one, Charles, loves helping out in the kitchen at home, but I always worry about the dangers of cooking. Here, everything is designed with kids in mind—child-safe utensils and a perfectly sized playhouse for little chefs aged 3 to 8. Charles had the best time choosing his recipe and cooking tomato pasta from start to finish, and I was so impressed with how well everything turned out. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure the kids were safe and having fun. Little Cook is a fantastic place for parents and kids to bond over cooking, and we can't wait to come back for more culinary adventures!

Eric is incredibly patient and precise in his teaching. It’s something that’s required to make something with a higher difficulty so it was perfect for our family lesson on making croissants. We had a lot of fun. Great way to spend time with family on a weekend. He also included pain au chocolate into our session which was a real treat for my daughter. The croissants were delicious and looked quite decent for our first time!

My daughter chose to learn how to bae a croissant as part of post-exam activity but… it is too difficult to attempt using YouTube videos! A search on google shows up many bread making courses but not French pastries. Thank God for French Cooking Lab which offers authentic French pastries and cuisine! It is a cozy and intimate house setting hosted by Eric! Feels like baking at home. 🙂 Eric carefully explained and demonstrated the folding process of croissant making. He also helps to shorten the process by preparing the dough beforehand! During the baking process, he taught us how to make the dough by hand since we don’t own a mixer. He also put his IT skills to use by coming up with an app containing the recipes and videos! Strongly recommend for you to learn how to make French pastries and cuisine!

My daughter held a Kuromi themed birthday party here two years ago and she was so happy to be back this year again to celebrate her 11th birthday with her friends for a 3hrs baking and craft birthday party.

I would like to thank Genius R Us for designing the birthday e-invite and decorating the place according to the theme "Sumikko Gurashi" as requested, especially to Xiao Wei for hosting the group of 11 girls during the birthday party, patiently answering their questions during the baking and craft sessions and everyone was very impressed when Xiao Wei shared that the dessert table and birthday cake were all baked and prepared by her! The girls all loved the desserts and brought back the extras too. The lunch set was individually packed and came hot when delivered to the party room too.

I am also very thankful that Genius R us was able to make arrangements with a last minute addition in the number pax attending the party (oversight from my part) and everyone left the birthday party with happy memories, their baking and craft creations, a party box with many goodies inside and a printed photo card stand with the birthday girl too.

A very innovative way of education. The teacher is well prepared with a coherent teaching concept. A small reading before baking, then hands-on practice. Kids are occupied during 1.5 hours. I've been living in Australia for a while and hoping that I can find a similar teaching concept in Singapore. The little cookhouse is able to beautifully delivered the concept. My girl had travelled the world, and tried other places but she totally enjoyed the activity here. She was the first to arrive, the last to leave, and saying she wants to come back.

We were at BG for cakes & drinks before dinner. When we were leaving, the staff/chefs asked if we like to sample any CNY cookies.

The pistachio cookies stood out for me, and so I sampled. It was oh so good ~ bake quality, flavour, crumble texture all on point. Immediately I was thinking of who to gift to tmr.

They have a nice gift box for bundle of 4 bottles of choice. We sampled a few cookies, chef recommended me to try the chocolate button cookies ~ deep, rich choc flavour when I popped into my mouth ~ one of the best dark choc cookies I had! So we got 2 bag of twin bundles for gifting to friends tmr. Will be back for more before CNY! Thank you for recommendation!

I tried the matcha latte with banana pudding — it sounded like a strange combination at first, but it turned out to be surprisingly good.
I also bought four slices of cake, and they were all delicious, especially the burnt cheesecake.
The service was warm and friendly, and the staff took time to introduce the different options.

Earl grey choco is too overpowering. I will recommend the Tiramisu latte as well but be careful dont choke on the chocolate powder layer hahaha.

The recipes are also incredibly delicious and practical for home cooking. The White Cut Chicken and the Cabbage with Vermicelli are already household favorites (the chicken is so tender!). Even the Tom Yum Soup was a huge hit, honestly better than what we’ve had in some restaurants!
If you’re looking to upskill your helper or even yourself, I can’t recommend Hungry Mummies enough. Thank you, Penelope, for making the transition so smooth for our new helper

She has made such a positive influence to my girl's passion in cooking and she has been whipping up awesome dishes learnt at home for the family. We are truly blessed! My girl is so eager to cook dinner for us since she joined hungry mummies classes! Joined twice so far and would definitely be back during the school hols! I really love her recipes! 😍

Penelope from Hungry Mummies was THE BEST person to train our helper in expanding her repertoire of delicious dishes for our family meals. From first contact till our last lesson, Penelope has been very responsive, patient, flexible to our timing and needs, and always punctual.

Our helper was also very grateful to Penelope for being a patient and knowledgeable teacher. She had a wonderful experience and was set up for success.

We all have happier and fuller bellies because of Penelope. Thank you!

How to Choose the Best Cooking and Baking Option for Your Child

  • Age fit: Check whether the class is designed for your child’s age group. Younger children usually benefit from more guided, sensory-based activities, while older children may enjoy greater independence and skills development.
  • Cooking or baking focus: Some programmes lean more towards baking, while others include both. Consider whether your child prefers sweet treats, full meal preparation, or a mix of both.
  • Beginner friendliness: Look for lessons that welcome beginners and use clear, step-by-step instructions without assuming prior experience.
  • Teaching style: Think about your child’s learning preference. Do they enjoy playful exploration, structured instruction, Montessori-inspired activities, or skill-based hands-on formats?
  • Class size: Smaller groups offer more personalised attention, especially for children who need encouragement or supervision.
  • Safety and supervision: Make sure the environment uses age-appropriate tools and provides enough adult guidance.
  • Hands-on participation: Some children like managing their own station, while others feel safer learning with a parent nearby.
  • Life skills value: Good classes build patience, teamwork, concentration, and confidence as well as kitchen skills.
  • Home practice support: Useful recipe cards or printed guides make it easier to repeat learning at home.
  • Parent-child option: For younger children or those needing reassurance, classes that allow parental participation can make the experience more enjoyable.
  • Facilities and environment: A well-equipped kitchen affects your child’s comfort and motivation.
  • Session length: Consider your child’s attention span when choosing session length. Shorter sessions often suit toddlers better.
  • Progression opportunities: If your child loves the class, look for centres that offer multiple levels to continue learning.
  • Schedule convenience: Check that class times fit into your family routine, especially around school and other activities.
  • Price clarity: Choose programmes with clear fees that state what is included so you can compare options confidently.
  • Child personality match: Pick a format that fits your child’s confidence level, whether they thrive in a nurturing group or prefer independent challenges.

I’m very happy with the tutoring service arranged by Alyssa and her team. Both tutors (Xinbo and Ban Cheng) have been great and my child really enjoys the lessons with them. We can already see some improvement, which is very encouraging.

Thank you for being so responsive and helpful throughout the arrangement process. Really appreciate the support and would definitely recommend them to other parents looking for reliable tutors.

It has truly been a blessing to find Mr. Tan Tiam Teng as my son’s Chinese tutor. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated—qualities that have made a huge difference in my son’s learning journey. My Primary 4 son has shown remarkable improvement in his Chinese since starting lessons, and we are so grateful for the progress.

Beyond the academic results, Mr. Tan’s teaching style has built my son’s confidence and interest in the subject. He is punctual, pleasant disposition and understands what a child needs. The entire experience with Mind Flex has also been very pleasant, professional, and supportive.

Friendly, pleasant, swift, helpful and most importantly not pushy
