This preschool is a dream in many ways. The teachers are dedicated, the project-based curriculum is enriching and best of all, kids are valued for their unique qualities and nothing is off-limits for them. My kid loves going to school and that’s most important to me.
2024: Edited to add that this review was left for Play@Thomson Hills, which has been acquired by Greentree Montessori since mid of last year.
Our experience at Play has been very positive. Our daughter Coco has flourished under the Reggio Emilia framework, which has given her an excellent foundation for her onward journey at an international IB school. The staff are warm and caring, and demonstrate a total committment to the education and well-being of the children. They have coped admirably with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, and initiated some interesting activities whilst on lockdown. As our time at Play is nearly over, my husband Shaheen and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for laying the invaluable foundations of Coco's educational journey.
Kathy joined PLAY@Thomson Hills at K1. Shortly after, Covid-19 CB happened. We were so relieved that despite the unprecedented situation, the teachers put together a lovingly curated package for the children (and parents too!) and we all worked together through our first HBL for preschoolers! We stayed close in contact with the teachers through the whole CB with videos and snippets of daily activities. It was tough but we went through it and grew stronger. Everyone was just relieved to be able to return to school thereafter. Under the dedicated care of the teachers and staff, Kathy blossomed and grew. She was also very eager to come back and share her experiences and what she learnt in school frequently. She is excited to learn through activities and experiments and like to describe school as being at play all day! Come 2021, although the school did not have to shut completely, most students stayed at home by choice. As such, the teachers took the extra effort to put together a lesson & actitives box for the children who are staying at home. They even arranged zoom lessons for the children at home while also having to continue caring for the ones who are physically in school. As parents, we are very touched by the dedication and effort put forth by the school to go the extra mile to cater for the children and stay closely in touch with the families. These days, Kathy complains when there’s no school in the weekend or when she was picked up too early from school. She loves her teachers and friends. With so many preschools in the vicinity, we could have easily chosen another more well know or lower cost school. But the homeliness of this close-knitted family-oriented school really drew us in. And we are very glad we chose PLAY@Thomson Hills.
Love this school. Very caring, knowledgeable teachers who approach children with gentleness and creativity. Happy that they have an outdoor play area where my daughter learnt gets to roam and explore. Their play-based curriculum has made learning enjoyable and stress-free for both parents and child!
We chanced upon Play@thomson when we were looking to switch our daughter to another school 3 years back and we have no regrets of the switch! My daughter has so much more outdoor exposure compared to her siblings because of Play. The classroom learning and activities are so fun that even my older ones are jealous of their sister. “Why did you send her to such a FUN school, mummy?! It’s not fair!” Is something that I get from my older girl about her sister in a regular basis! Give your child a chance for a happy childhood learning through Play!

This is really a sweet and helpful session. I learnt more about art therapy and how to self care. Besides, I also took a look at the art pieces created by beneficiaries and heard many touching and inspiring stories of theirs. Hope everyone can explore and find your better self!
I went for art jamming at Art for Good. I showed the tutor Alanis some sketches of what I wanted to draw. She was very patient and non-judgemental with me and guided me throughout the entire process. I painted acrylic paint on canvas. I was overall satisfied with my painting. I recommend art jamming to anyone who is inspired to put his or her ideas on canvas. This also improves your hand-eye coordination and helps you to focus and relax.

The gym is a great venue, the activities were perfectly suited for young children, and the team's energy and care made the whole experience special. Everyone loved the idea, and the kids had an amazing time.
We highly recommend Power Kids Gym for a fun and memorable birthday party!
We celebrated our son 6th birthday at Power Kids Gym UE Square. He had the best time with his friends : gym activities, bouncy castle, obstacle course…The team was lovely and helpful. Perfect celebration! Thank you again for everything.
We had such an amazing experience hosting our kids’ birthday parties here that we’ve celebrated both of our daughters’ birthdays at this gym!
The parties were an absolute hit with the kids and parents alike. The hosts were incredibly professional, energetic, and fantastic with children. They took care of everything from the setup beforehand to keeping the activities running smoothly, making the entire experience completely stress-free for parents.
All we had to do was show up, enjoy the celebration, and watch the kids have a blast. The team kept the children engaged from start to finish, and everyone left with big smiles and happy memories.

We recently celebrated our toddler’s second birthday at Power Kids Gym and it was such a wonderful experience. The little ones had an absolute blast, there was so much for them to explore and enjoy in a safe, engaging environment.
A big shoutout to the team, who did an amazing job from start to finish. They were warm, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly, which made the day so much more enjoyable for us as parents.
Thank you for helping us create such special memories! We’re already looking forward to bringing Fynn back for a trial class soon!
I cannot recommend this gymnastics gym enough! My 4-year-old son absolutely loves attending his weekly sessions, and it’s become the highlight of his week. The facility is fantastic, but what truly sets this gym apart is the incredible staff. They are so friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about the kids' development.
A special shout-out to Joe, my son’s favorite instructor! Joe has an amazing way of connecting with the kids, making the classes both fun and educational. My son has shown remarkable improvement in his motor skills, balance, and coordination since joining. Not only that, but his social skills have also blossomed—he’s more confident and interactive with other children.
The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of instruction and care provided. It’s such a relief to find a place where my child is not only learning but also having a blast. If you’re looking for a gym that’s nurturing, professional, and perfect for little ones, this is the place to go. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a positive and enriching environment!

My 3 year old started in January this year and it remains his favourite part of the week.
The instructors are excellent and take the time to learn every child's name, helps them engage in the group, and provide step-by-step progressions for each child depending on what the child is comfortable with. They are amazing at balancing the difficulty of a challenge/progression with a child's ability and this has really booseted my son's confidence.
My son continues to talk about the class every day and looks forward to every Saturday's class. Thank you TLG
We have been coming to The Little Gym for 6 years now…Amazing engagement and energy from Teachers and they really provide the kids with good confidence and guidance. Character building on attitude and understanding of other feelings. Keep up the good work! TLG! 🥳🎉👍
The teachers and staff at The Little Gym are super fun and passionate about kids, my 2 kiddos loved their time there from when they were babies until primary school! The programme helps children to develop motor skills through structured exercises that are really fun, and often involve the use of music and little songs to help the kids remember and learn skills. My older child has since moved on to competitive gymnastics, but I credit TLG for developing her love for gym and giving her such a great foundation.
My 18mo has been going here for the past month and she enjoys it so much that we extend another term. The class is fun, the teachers are professional and caring and the facility is spacious. Thanks so much Teacher Geri and Tiana 🙂
This gym is really nice to those people who are working out especially for me. This place is quite convenient and their training is efficient. The instructors are well trained and really working hard to help you lose some weight. The equipment are new and plenty so the more the equipment, the more you work out. They also execute different kinds of work out routine and gives you a food chart to follow that fits to your workout. And I really recommend this to you guys cause this gym is 100% effective

With a tinge of sadness, Sonny “graduated“ from Heguru at the age of 11. He joined around 18-24 months- it happened so long ago to remember the exact. It has been a 9 years journey with Heguru CCK
I do remember are the teachers whom he had & indebted to such like Teacher Jody, Teacher Pei Fen, Teacher Wen Qi and lastly Teacher Ying Fen
Along the way there were humps and difficulties be it in and out of class. But he learnt and benefited.
From the beginning he understood the various concepts and was able to use it in his academic work. He becomes apt in English, Chinese, Maths, Science. The best he did was to score 100 marks out of 100 in all 4 subjects for his P4 mid year examination (2025)
Everything will come to an end as Sonny need to continue his journey elsewhere. The time he spent with solving puzzles, mathematics, number memory, reading, copying paragraphs from articles, all will not be forgotten.
Teacher Enhui creates a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn every lesson. She has an amazing ability to make learning fun and engaging, using creative activities and hands-on experiences that capture the children's imagination.
We absolutely love Heguru! Teacher Priscilla has been amazing — incredibly attentive, patient, and so genuine with our kids. They look forward to class every week, and we’ve really seen them grow in confidence and curiosity.
The whole team is wonderful too. Ms Shana and the staff and all the teachers are always friendly and welcoming, creating such a positive and happy environment. You can really feel the warmth when you walk in each time.
Highly recommend Heguru for parents looking for engaging, nurturing, and uplifting classes for their little ones!
My LO has been with Heguru Methods CCK since he was 2 year old. He enjoys the classes a lot and looks forward to it every week. The classes are engaging and the varied content helps him to pick lots of new things along the way. Teacher Priscilla is also really patience and great with the kids.
We enrolled our son in Heguru classes with Teacher Priscilla in 2023, and for the past two years he has absolutely loved attending every Sunday. Teacher Priscilla is always encouraging, friendly, and welcoming. The program has really helped build his confidence and has greatly improved his speech and learning. We highly recommend it!

Muckypups class at Valley Point with teacher Beena is our 10-month baby’s favorite’s weekly activity. Fun and engaging. I particularly like the messy plays which are quite creative and give us ideas to do at home. She also made new friends and now we have play dates
We love Mucky Pups with Markéta at Pirate Land! She is such a kind and organized teacher with a lovely singing voice -- and the kind of voice that really makes you want to join in with some confidence! We loved the different activities and how Markéta either helps to keep the class together or lets kids have a little break as needed. Great blend of structure and flexibility with really good curriculum. Thank you!
Best Playgroup in Singapore with wonderful staff (Lisa is a star!) My kids love the varied activities; and I love that they can get messy without the massive clean up operation!

My daughter just finished the 3-day CNY camp at the Swiss Club, and she had an absolutely wonderful time! This was her second time joining a program organized by The Mindful Camp, highly recommended for any parents looking for a high-quality, engaging camp experience!
This is a great camp. My nine year old son had a really fun week. They have a good base, lots of interesting stuff, they organized a lively program of different activities, and Dini and her colleagues are great camp leaders. Highly recommended. 👍🏻👍🏻
the daily social emotion lessons were very well carried out and benefited my child! in-camp activities were fun, dragon boating and amazing race field trip was awesome and the carnival was a blast!
for the campers coming from strangers to teamwork in a week, it was really the teachers that made the difference!
especially Teacher Hara, Shaheen, and Shafiq, its rare to come by pro active, decisive, impactful and fun educators! the impromptu song performance really moved my heart, thank you!! for watching over the children, the updates and the decisiveness in handling issues, truly appreciate it 🙏🏻
This is our second time joining the camp, and it has been a fantastic experience once again. My kids had so much fun, and always came home excited with new stories.
Big thanks to the River team, Dini, Audrey, and the Mountain team - Sonia, Ana, Charlotte, and Fatin - for creating such a warm, fun, and caring environment. Truly appreciate all the effort and highly recommend!
Truly grateful to the Mindful Camp team for the wonderful resilience camp experience my son had. The administration was exceptionally clear with their instructions and reminders, and the dedicated chat group for daily updates was a huge help for working parents like us. Although my boy has attended various camps before, this was the first time he came home overflowing with happiness every single day throughout the five-day program. He shared stories about how unique, fun, and adventurous the activities were, and it was clear how much he connected with the team. He especially wants to thank all the teachers for giving him what he described as the best experience he’s ever had. If there’s an opportunity, he would absolutely love to join again. This camp truly made a lasting impact.

Mother & Child Empowering Parenthood is a Tanglin Mall family-support centre operating since 1994. Its parent-and-child choices include Montessori for Babies, Baby Massage, Baby Café, Toddler Café and Lucy Sparkles live music and movement sessions. These options cover children from early infancy to age two, with specific age and mobility guidance for each class. Families can also access pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, postnatal recovery, caregiver education and emotional well-being services. A multidisciplinary team includes doctors, midwives, IBCLC lactation consultants, doulas, educators, movement instructors, counsellors and therapists. Selected consultations and private courses are available at home, in hospital or virtually alongside centre-based support.
I am a big fan of Dr Mythili. I think breastfeeding consultants are so important in one’s feeding journey as it’s just such a hard thing to do! I felt very supported not just on the feeding itself but also on my mental health. I love her approach which is centred around doing things as naturally as possible. I would highly recommend anyone that’s starting their breastfeeding journey or struggling in whatever way to reach out! It’s money well spent!
Attended Mother & Child’s holistic childbirth preparation classes and found them incredibly helpful, especially as first-time parents. The classes provided a great introduction to what to expect during labour, delivery, and the early postpartum period, helping us feel more prepared and confident.
After delivery, we also engaged their lactation consultation service, which was equally valuable. Dr. Mythili was warm, engaging, and patient in answering all my questions. She took the time to observe and guide me through my baby’s latching issues, offering practical advice and reassurance when I needed it most. Would recommend Mother & Child and Dr. Mythili to any expectant or new parents looking for knowledgeable and compassionate support!
I had a wonderful experience with the team. When my firstborn had difficulties with latching, having a lactation consultant come to my home was incredibly helpful and reassuring. Later on, we attended the music classes with my little one, and she absolutely loved them!
Thank you for creating such a supportive community where families can find so many valuable services and support all under one roof. It has truly been a positive and enriching journey for us.
Dr Mythili is a highly professional consultant. She shows a lot of empathy while consulting. My son had latch issues which she was able to identify why it was happening and patiently listened and catered to all the other queries I had.
I’ve had 3 consults with her and have been able to move away from alternate feeding methods to direct breast feeding confidently.
Thank you Dr. M and the wonderful Mother & Child team! I’m incredibly grateful I booked a lactation consultation—my baby and I are now thriving. Since 3.5 weeks postpartum, she has been fully breastfed with no more painful latches (my appointment was at 2.5 weeks). As a third-time mom who successfully breastfed my previous babies, I didn’t expect to struggle this time. However, after a traumatic delivery, I was separated from my baby while in ICU and experienced significant blood loss, which impacted my milk supply. Dr. M was patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She guided me through different latching techniques and assessed my baby for tongue tie, confirming it was mild and manageable with simple stretches. With her help, our latch improved significantly, and within a week, the pain and nipple blanching I had been experiencing completely resolved. The team also generously lent me a Spectra pump at no cost, which made a huge difference in rebuilding my milk supply when used after each feeding session. Prior to seeing them, I was dealing with painful latches, supplementing with formula due to low supply, and pumping with an Imani pump—which, as they explained, isn’t as effective for establishing supply early on. I truly can’t recommend them enough. Their support made all the difference during a very challenging start.

I love this place! As the name suggests, it's a truly immersive experience. It's cosy. It's for people who want to reward themselves with the practice. No judgement, no showing off (I have been to many, where some went for the mirror with their trendy yoga outfits), no trying to impress. Plus point - It's conveniently located in the same building as my child's enrichment class centre!
I’ve been coming to this studio for over a year now and I really enjoy it here. The teachers are super knowledgeable but still make everything easy to understand—they focus on proper technique instead of just rushing through poses.
What I appreciate most is how beginner-friendly the classes are. The instructors always offer variations to suit different levels, so everyone feels included and supported no matter where they are in their practice. Whether you’re a beginner or a bit more advanced, you won’t feel left out.
The vibe here is very welcoming and not intimidating at all. The teachers (and students too!) genuinely care and take the time to help one another improve, which makes a big difference for a learning environment! Definitely a place I see myself continuing to go to 🤍
Shout out to the receptionist for always managing the students so smoothly before and after classes ☺️
I’ve been attending the prenatal yoga classes conducted by Elias and have really enjoyed the classes so far! The sessions are gentle, restorative, and thoughtfully paced, and the studio is centrally located, clean and well-maintained. The immersive screens also add to the calming atmosphere!
I've been with Spirit Stretch for a while and I really enjoy coming here for classes. The instructors are patient and helpful and their studio is clean and well-maintained. Love their variety of classes and the projections that change from time to time (with the seasons too!). 💖
Had such a wonderful experience at Spirit Stretch!
The studio is clean, beautifully maintained, and very well organised. I also appreciate that there are locker rooms available for both men and women, which makes the whole visit convenient and comfortable.
The atmosphere was incredibly immersive and peaceful — at one point during the session, the background visuals felt like being underwater with whales swimming by. It created such a calming and almost therapeutic vibe that elevated the entire practice.
I joined an upper body and shoulder stretch session and it was both fun and effective. The flow was well-paced, and I left feeling lighter, more open, and refreshed.
Definitely a place I’ll be visiting again 🌟

The Kovan centre offers every listed Little Forest programme.
I enrolled my child at Little Forest late last year, and we’ve been with the school for close to six months now. Overall, our experience has been very positive—my child genuinely enjoys every session, thanks to the engaging teaching by Liu Laoshi and Teacher Claid. That said, there are a few areas of concern. The recent move to Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre has been a drawback for us. While the space features clear glass windows, this raises privacy and safety concerns, especially given its location next to a pub, making it feel less appropriate despite the premium fees. Additionally, the class duration has been shortened while fees remain unchanged, and some components—such as an extra arts and crafts activity—have been removed. Classes are now combined across a wide age range (8 months to 3 years), which makes it challenging to cater effectively to different developmental needs. It’s difficult to see infants and older toddlers learning the same material, and this has led to teachers understandably focusing more on the younger children. On a few occasions, my child also tried to engage the teachers—calling out to them and attempting to strike up a conversation—but was overlooked as the teachers were occupied attending to younger toddlers and infants. It was disheartening to see my child’s disappointment in those moments. For these reasons, I’ve decided to discontinue my child’s enrollment. I would encourage the management to consider reinstating more age-specific classes and ensuring balanced attention across all children to better support their development.
My son loved going to this school. Ms. Claid and Liu Laoshi were attentive to every student and always prepared a variety of enjoyable activities. However, I hope they will offer longer hours for parent-accompanied classes so that children can have more interaction with each other.
Actually have nothing but good things to say about LF and Liu Laoshi in particular. We love the mix of fitness, arts, snacks and music each class, really well suited to those who are
My son has joined the Mini Mandarin class at Little Forest with teacher Ms May since he was 7 months old. He really enjoys the class and the play area (he always wants to play extra 30min after every class). Ms May is very attentive to every little one in the class. Especially she's very interactive to encourage them to get engaged in each session from warm up, story telling, arts... I love the way Ms May is very close to little ones and make them comfortable to explore and engage during classes. Sometimes my husband and I also ask lots of parenthood questions (we're first time parents) and Ms May is always willing to share her own experiences and give us the best advice which we really appreciate.
We started our son on Mini Mandarin classes from about 14m of age. Best decision ever. Till today, even after graduating from the program, he still sings the songs! He has picked up basic words and actions in Mandarin from the teacher. Miss May is very diligent and cares so much for the students. It’s a pity that we can no longer attend as he has started preschool. The lessons are well planned with sensory play included. It was also a good way to get him used to a school setting. Highly recommend. Thank you Little Forest!

How to Choose the Best Parent-and-Child Classes for Your Child
Age suitability: Check stated age, mobility and developmental requirements before booking, especially when babies are close to walking independently.
Child readiness: Consider whether your child prefers adult reassurance, active group participation or quiet observation before joining in gradually.
Teacher experience: Ask about instructors’ training and experience guiding both children and accompanying adults in the same setting.
Teaching philosophy: Compare structured instruction, child-led exploration and mixed approaches with how your child handles new activities and routines.
Adult involvement: Confirm whether caregivers observe, assist, perform partner exercises or receive guidance to continue learning at home.
Class size: Smaller groups can offer more individual attention for hesitant children or activities requiring close physical guidance.
Safety standards: Review supervision, equipment maintenance, material suitability and emergency procedures for movement, messy play and infant classes.
Session structure: Ask how classes balance introductions, guided tasks, movement, free exploration, transitions and calming activities.
Sensory demands: Consider noise, lighting, projections, textures and messy materials if your child needs time around unfamiliar sensations.
Learning goals: Decide whether bonding, communication, creativity, physical confidence, language exposure or mindfulness matters most to your family.
Child progression: Look for age-based levels, transition points and feedback that indicate when greater independence is appropriate.
Parent guidance: Useful programmes explain activity choices and show caregivers how to support development between sessions without unnecessary pressure.
Trial options: A trial lesson can show how your child responds to the instructor, setting, pace and group size.
Schedule fit: Compare session times, travel distance, MRT access, public-holiday arrangements and make-up policies with your weekly routine.
Total costs: Check fees alongside registration, materials, venue admission, equipment, deposits and missed-session policies before choosing a package.
